Mobile software is junk, cannot run a business via mobile with wintac. I had the wintac web portal and it was horrible.

HAPPY WITH WINTAC

We have been using Wintac since 2002, generally are happy with the product, we are anxious to try the new 2017 program & the new features.

Pros

it is generally a good product, we like the use of the portal

Cons

the change of the dispatch board, we used to be able to update the dates & enter techs names from the dispatch board, since a couple of upgrades we can no longer do this. also, once you enter a tech assistant and the date they were dispatched, that changes when we reschedule the dispatch board, if they are already dispatched then it should stay on the date they are dispatched

Have been using Wintac since 2005. This is the best service business operations software we have used. We run a small HVAC company and find that it has served us well. We use it mainly for billing and dispatching / equipment service.

Parts and material do not sync with the price book very well and very hard to navigate.

Pros

The dispatching part looks ok. It seems to be geared more towards the office/dispatchers. I can't even update or change customers information.

Cons

You can't simply add pictures and model numbers. You have to click proceed or save after every added line or it erases it. Everything is in small small print.

Not very positive - probably wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who expects more than dispatching, customer tracking and a buggy ticketing system.

Dispatching and CRM style customer tracking

Cons

The bookkeeping side is terrible. The sync to accounting software has too many issues to be dependable. Inability to customize overall. Updates are difficult and support is often little help, especially when an update breaks something- you have to wait (in current case it’s been MONTHS) for them to write a fix and release the update

overall, everyone has been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, unfortunately, the software seems dated and and convoluted.

Pros

All inclusive software, dispatching, customer tracking, and accounting

Cons

Dispatching is the strongest part of the package, accounting is not good really, maintenance tracking is lacking severely, the web portal does not fully integrate with the desktop version, ie alerts do not show up in the field

Our firm has used Wintac since it was called Intac in 1995! We are extremely happy with all of the Wintac features that we utilize. However, we do not utilize the accounting feature as we have another accounting software program. It has been a blessing to have cutomer records that are this easy to view with just a click.

Pros

Customer service history, work order, invoicing and dispatching.

Cons

A few glitches in the Wintac Pro version 16.44 but nothing major.

Not able to meet the needs

After 18 months we are still not able to get all the "known issues" resolved. They are very responsive to our issues, however, the team is unable to fix the issues, sitting the next version addresses them. Inventory was the selling feature for our small company, and we are still not able to figure out why when posting purchases, they mysteriously remove inventory, change pricing (revert to previous...

Pros

Ability to manage work orders, dispatch board, and customer job manager.

Cons

Financials are somewhat limited on reporting and ability to reconcile the cost center balances to obtain the adjusted trial balance., employee payroll has limited ability to provide what is required to report to state and federal, inventory management is a complete nightmare, with changes that cannot be explained, but some are a result of system design with many areas for error.

We have switched over to wintac completely after using it just for dispatching for years. I am not very happy with the accounting portion of wintac but haven't found anything else that offers all in one

Very good dispatching system. Prints good reports. keeps track of equipment

It glitches every now and then. I would not recommend using this for your accounting. Looks simple but isn't very user friendly. doesn't have an app. doesn't eliminate paperwork

I would like the ability to have more than one screen open at a time. For instance, if i am in a Work Order screen and need to check the Dispatching screen, I have to get out of Work Order and then go into Dispatch.

It would be great if there were experienced Wintac IT people local to come in and help. But, I do like the setup and how everything flows together.

Pros

I like that it has dispatching and accounting all in one software

Cons

The updates tend to cause issues with the software, I feel like I'm on the phone with a rep too often.
