Wintac is a good product for the cost of the software and it does everything you need in an dispatch and accounting software package. I also use it for job costing our contract jobs.

for the most part, it's all good. We had one update tho that messed up our system for about a year! some things did not go back either.

it's mostly an easy system to navigate, databases for customers, inventory, vehicles

Cons
has little quirks such as changing the price of inventory to a negative value, have to reverse out an inventory item or it will get added to inventory

Pros
The product is very user friendly, & is very reasonably priced for what it is capable of doing to save time & money in my business.

Cons
The only bad thing I have found is the renewal cost, but everyone has to make money. The tec support is worth the money, if you ever need them.

We have been using Wintac since 2005 with great success! We investigated other software with much higher prices and yearly maintenance costs. We have been exteremly pleased with the results that we have been able to get once we added this software to our everyday operations.

We have used Wintac for a year now and have been pleased with the routing capabilities it has. We maintain our work orders and invoicing and it helps us stay organized so can stay on top our busy schedule.

The software is easily learned and maneuvered through at a very affordable price. We have been using Wintac now for several years and it has helped facilitate our growth. Although we haven't utilized all of the functionality yet, we are slowly adding the use of the various features. We are looking forward to upgrading in 2016!

Pros
Wintac is a low-cost CRM for HVAC companies. It offers a simple way to separate your "contacts" from your "customers" which is a really nice feature. Easy to use dashboard for dispatching.

Cons
Not cloud-based. The "housekeeping" data clean up requirement is a huge pain in you know what. It takes forever and happens all the time. Your entire company needs to exit out of the program so the software and clean itself. Zero modern features like text updates or GPS tracking.

I would recommend Wintac as a purchasing tool to anyone thinking of buying it. It's easy to use and has a lot of features.

Pros
very easy to use. quick to pick up and serves it's purpose very well. We have used wintac at our office for a long time. I've been working for the company for 5 years and never really had any issues with Wintac

Cons
from my experience I don't see that were able to download pricelists directly into wintac. we have had to build our price inventory over time and I would much prefer being able to update price lists by downloading an excel file right into the program instead of having to update prices manually.

Parts and material do not sync with the price book very well and very hard to navigate.

Pros
The dispatching part looks ok. It seems to be geared more towards the office/dispatchers. I can't even update or change customers information.

Cons
You can't simply add pictures and model numbers. You have to click proceed or save after every added line or it erases it. Everything is in small small print.

If you are looking for a basic program with variety, check out Wintac for your service industry. We are a small Heating & Plumbing Co. Other than QuickBooks (2010), this is the only service industry program that we have utilized, thus far. Therefore, our WIP software knowledge is limited.

Less expensive than other similar programs

Cons
Multiple office staff delays when Wintac requires "housekeeping" Missing WIP data/missing WIPs WIP Templates must be "closed" manually If two or more users are creating a new account/customer - errors are prevalent

This software is very powerful and flexible. We started using it in November, rolled to a couple of technicians in December, and phased the rest in between January and April. We have had very little problems. The problems we do have are always related to our hardware or internet provider set up. Even in these issues, Wintac support has been extremely helpful in resolving. Accounting Links to Quick Books was a breeze once we got Wintac support online to help. There were configuration issues in Quick Books. Rather than sending us to Quick Books Support they accessed our Quick Books remotely and changed the settings that were causing our issues. They are really amazing at support.

Pros
Easy to set up. Easy to learn. Great support documentation built in. Wintac online support is really good at getting to the problem and resolving the issue quickly.

Cons
If there is a con, it is that it is not specifically built to our exact company needs. But, that kind specificity is only available if we pay to have someone build a software application proprietary and to our exact needs. That is extremely expensive and beyond the scope of what we really needed. The flexibility of Wintac more than solves these minor issues for us. The price was definitely reasonable. So, the price and flexibility make up for any lack of specific details that we may have "liked".

The pricing model is the best that I could find for a product like Wintac. Wintac fits our businesses needs, and their customer support is great!

Cons
Wintac was obviously not made specifically for our business so not everything was easy to transfer over. The transition took quite a long time for us. We've been using QuickBooks for years now and getting that to work in sync with Wintac was a challenge and I wish Wintac had more information about how a business can use Wintac alongside of an accounting software like QuickBooks.

Wintac like I siad is easy to use, the only thing I would like them to improve on is the information section, when you look up say purchase orders, it tells you how to set it up, but doesn't really give you to much more information then that. The help center is great once you get a hold of someone, there hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, but as most companies are, that is when normal businesses are open and trying to conduct their activities. I think the help center should be open earlier and later.

Pros
We have been using Wintac for several years and it is easy to use.

Cons
The least thing about Wintac is that the price increase over the past couple of years, I believe it is excessive.
