The best way to manage a team's digital footprint  starstarstarstarstar  2016-02-03

Between Mail and Drive, this is an extremely powerful platform for sending and receiving mail, files, spreadsheets, documents, pictures, etc. If you have multiple team members, upgrading from normal gmail is a must because of the upgraded security and control features (eg team wide etc).

 Pros

- Tons of functionality to get work done - Fast, cheap, and powerful - Easy to set up - Lots of flexibility to connect to platforms like Zapier and IFTTT

 Cons

- Hard to integrate with sending from your normal gmail account as an Alias (would be nice to have this be a single click process etc). Although I understand why they don't do this.

The best tool for archiving and storing small to medium sized data period.  starstarstarstarstar  2016-02-03

I use this to store recipes, notes, articles, ideas, links, lyrics, lists, etc. But I think it's main value is for information that's less than a page or two but bigger than a single line. Google Keep or similar offers enough functionality if all you want is a simple line or two. And when you want tagging, searching, and collecting features, Google Drive doesn't excel, but this is the perfect medium sized solution.

 Pros

- Tons of flexibility in storage, data types, and retrieval - Good cross platform syncing - Low cost premium features - Great for recording ideas - Connects with Zapier and IFTTT

 Cons

- Can be slow on some devices and platforms - Design may not be the best depending on the platform - Might be too complex for some use cases - Can start to blur the line between what you put where

A great entry level option  starstarstarstarstar  2016-01-23

May not be as full featured as the bigger CRM's, but that's not the point. Great for use in a small business with a couple employees. It can provide a good solution to keeping all the data and info in a single place, and is pretty quick to get up and running.

 Pros

- Hooks up to Zapier which means you can connect it to or have it do just about anything else - Plenty of features to get started - Easy enough to use

 Cons

- Potentially cluttered or confusing for some first time CRM users - Can be convoluted in it's UX and use logic

Integration platform to connect web apps

If you're not using this, you're missing out  starstarstarstarstar  2016-01-23

One of the best pieces of software built in a while in my opinion. It provides tremendous opportunity to solve business and even personal efficiency problems. It can save and make you money just by creating connections between other powerful tools and products.

 Pros

- The sheer opportunities and benefits - Relatively easy to use (compared to what it's taking care of for you, it's a piece of cake haha) - Power of reducing complexity long term after a single input of short term work

 Cons

- Potential complexity of creating systems if that isn't something you do a lot (you should though) - Like anything, not perfectly reliable, so make sure to have systems to catch errors where the consequences are high

A great sales management solution  starstarstarstarstar  2015-12-14

This may not have the potential and power to handle larger companies. But for startups and small businesses, this is a tremendous offering even if it just helps you refine and implement a sales process and system. In my opinion one of the best features is that it more or less forces you to add a new activity as soon as you complete the last task. Which I think is important because it keeps the focus on activity and off getting lucky or hoping the deal closes.

 Pros

- Good interface - Drag and drop - Plenty of features to get started - See pipeline graphs and data easily

 Cons

- Doesn't have a recurring product estimator, only fixed price deals (would be really helpful to know if a deal is positive ROI based on Lifetime Value etc)

One of my favorite pieces of software hands down!  starstarstarstarstar  2015-12-05

I use this software every day to manage my businesses, to dos, and projects. Here's a link to a Trello board I built to show all the ways I use it: https://trello.com/b/01v7F3pB/how-i-use-trello

 Pros

Simple, lightweight, easy to use and learn, and extremely powerful.

 Cons

Doesn't have folders for boards. You can only have Teams, Boards, Lists, Cards. But having folders for boards would be really helpful.
