Mailchimp Reviews
Email and advertising marketing automation platform

Did not encounter an equal software yet.   starstarstarstarstar_border  2015-07-27

I use Mailchimp already for as long as I can remember. I tried several others, but nothing matched the ease of use from Mailchimp. However despite their market leading position, I still believe their is a lot they can do to improve.

 Pros

- Easy to use with their drag and drop tool. - I cannot think of any e-commerce or web based software that required contact information that cannot integrate with MailChimp. - An application for iOS to keep track on your campaigns.

 Cons

- Mailchimp should definitely work on more e-commerce integration. More and more e-commerce platforms are offering buy buttons that can be coded in basically anything. Also PayPal is offering this already for years, yet I still did not see Mailchimp do the effort to integrate this. - Same issue for integrating video content. They do now allow to integrate YouTube and Vimeo links in a video box, however still directs traffic outside the mail.

Lucidchart Reviews
Diagramming done right.

Make projects clear for your team!   starstarstarstarstar_border  2015-07-27

Lucidchart is a great way to capture projects into one page and make them clear for your teams / departments. Personally I do not use the collaboration tool, but I use it for myself when I start new projects and need to present them.

 Pros

- Easy to use to draft out projects. - Affordable for the purpose of the software.

 Cons

- Could definitely use an application on iOS or Android to draft projects on the go. - Big focus on IT and web related projects which translates in the symbols and icons to use. Could use more different icons for traditional project management as well.

The e-commerce hosting platform from the future!   starstarstarstarstar  2015-07-27

Why do I like Shopify? Very simple, I believe that e-commerce is part of the EVERY businesses future. It doesnt matter if you offer a service or sell products, customers need access to what you offer online and preferably process their needs at the same time as well. Shopify is offering the opportunity for business owners with limited e-commerce skills to also be part of that movement. Myself I am a bit more advanced in this, but not a real developer. I was using Magento before but for every little change you needed to do you need to have developers in your team, and it can take quite long. Shopify solved all that for me!

 Pros

- Perfect solution for any business to access the e-commerce space. - Nice dashboards providing all the information you need. - If you really want, you can set up a store within a day. - AMAZING 24/7 support. They changed my entire way on how I look to customer service.

 Cons

- Their App store can use more apps, but hey it will never be enough. - Limited access to certain pages like the checkout pages. - Shopify Plus solves a lot of problems and gives you access to more pages, however is quite pricy. So it depends on how ambitious you are.

Xero Reviews
Accounting Software for SMBs

SME Accounting Software  starstarstarstarstar  2015-07-27

We are using Xero for two years now and currently I do not see any reason why we woud change. Great affordable solution for young and fast growing businesses. Easy to use and very clear dashboard on your accounting situation.

 Pros

- Easy to use for people with limited skills from accountancy, however also with advanced knowledge it certainly serves your need.

 Cons

- Missing a cashflow aspect. They do work closely with the FloatApp that provides that cashflow integration, however it is not always doing what we are looking for in terms of cashflow forecasting.

QuickBooks Commerce Reviews
Powerful inventory & order management software for B2B + B2C

Perfect solution for SMEs that are in need for in-house inventory management.  starstarstarstarstar_border  2015-07-20

If managing inventory is an important aspect of your business, but you are still not able to do custom development, nor are you able to outsource it, then TG is a great solution for you. We used it to integrate in all our e-commerce efforts and it is perfectly working so far.

 Pros

- Easy to use dashboard providing you the information needed to overview your orders. - Lots of apps that can easily let it integrate in your e-commerce channels and accounting / crm softwares. - Very proper reporting in line with your business requirements.

 Cons

- It still is an inventory software which is replacing a possible very big and expensive custom software solution, so it takes a while to understand how everything works. - The dashboard is not translated in several languages, so the people that work with it have to have basic English knowledge to really optimize the usage.
