I love that Basecamp autosaves everything. It's a small thing, but some systems don't do this and it is inconvenient when you lose information. I also think that Basecamp is awesome for more intensive projects. You can house a lot of information in one spot and the website works pretty fast. The to-do lists in Basecamp are my favorite thing!

Basecamp really helps in managing organization workflow by using features like file sharing ,hence all members can share files and resources at real time. This application aids the team to be upto date with any information in the organization ,this has been facilitated through other features like calendars ,to do list and due-dates

Cons

Due to easy file sharing , sensitive data may accidentally land in wrong hands, i thing the developer team should also include file inscription feature

The software was very easy of use. All of the members on our team like this. It gave us the ability to manage the projects and execute effectively.

Cons

There were not really any cons to this. I would like the ability to pay vendors through here or an easy link to PayPal or something.

We use Basecamp to keep track of projects. As it's set up to be a collaborative platform, it works seamlessly. Everyone can contribute to the posts. Making it great for project collaboration.

Cons

It's very light on features. For it's purpose it does the basic requisite functions but there's just that missing "oomph" of additional ease of use features.

Pros

Easy to manage multiple concurrent projects at the same time. Easy to invite non-basecamp users into existing projects. The to-do lists are very simple and easy to follow. All project members are always on the same page thanks to email updates and notifications of new content. Even users who are not computer savvy find it simple to get updates and add comments. The file uploading is also nice to keep all documentation in one place. Couldn't imagine trying to manage more than one project at a time without using basecamp.

Cons

Not necessarily a con, but it seems like the owner of the basecamp account gets added to every project automatically. We tried to allow a separate user base to test out basecamp and the owner of the account was added to the project automatically and received updates.

I love the web interface and easy setup for on onboarding projects. The ability to use multiple devices is really helpful.

To save time/increase efficiency, you can clone similar projects from an existing project, which is nice. They have a mobile app as well, which is nice when you are on the go.

Support system could be better, and generally speaking, I think some other project management systems are easier to use.

Easy to assign tasks with deadlines and reminders. Easy project status tracking - including upcoming deadlines and missed deadlines.

Cons

Often received duplicate messages (email and Basecamp) which created a bottleneck. Required users to remember to log-in to update status - otherwise information was out-of-date. (As project manager, I spent a lot of time chasing information for updates, because the users would often "forget" to check Basecamp.) Training was very good, but it was time consuming - and many users opted out of taking it. System is easy enough to use through trial and error, however.
