As one who prefers to work on an "until the job is done" basis, I have never been a clock-watcher so have never been comfortable with charging by the hour for my services - that is what the over-expensive denizens of the legal and financial sectors have a habit of doing. 

However, this is a superb bit of kit and helps show others how one accounts for one's time. Superb experience.

Clocking your time easily

Day to day, as a user it's straightforward and easy to use. As a manager the detailed reports are handy and accessible. Exporting data for other platforms is not great and takes more time than should be necessary.

There are a few options you can try in order to remember to stop your timer:
- You can automatically start/stop the timer when you open/close the browser with the browser extension (https://clockify.me/help/apps/chrome-extension#start-stop-automatically)
- Simply check  "Remind to track time" box in the Clockify browser extension settings and receive a notification reminding you to use the timer (https://clockify.me/help/apps/chrome-extension#reminders) or
- Enable email notification about long-running timers in your Profile settings of the web app (https://clockify.me/help/users/profile-settings)

Accessible and intuitive time tracking

Clockify is easy to use, and as my fiancé said, it's actually better than another clock in / clock out / timekeeping tool we use. I like it as an HR personnel because of its organization and how we can stratify people in the company, even under the Free layer.

Our companies employees have been roped into using Clockify to keep track of our work, and it works well at time recording and organizing how long time was spent on what aspect of a project. it does just take time to get used to having to record every moment of your work day on an application though.

i work from home so everyday i open my browser and i will go to Clockify webpage i enter my task and start my working process, meanwhile i just easily add my other tasks, breaks and etc to it and on a certain time ill get a report from Clockify to submit to the HR team.

why Clockify?

It is pretty great! I’ve been using this mostly on a free version but the paid version is much better of course. I used to work as HR Mgr and we’ve managed different consultants using this time-tracker. Plus the data are secured. 

As an Ops Manager as well, I could easily see how much billable hours spent on different day to day tasks and projects. Good tool to manage remote team members and projects asa well!
