Hi Ryan,
Thanks for your review! We do have time tracking available as an add-on feature in Float. You can check out how it works on our website here, https://www.float.com/how-it-works/time-tracking.
A free 30 day trial is available from the Team Settings page inside Float. Your team's timesheets will be pre-filled based on their scheduled task hours. All they have to do is verify them, and hit "Log"!
Please feel free to email support@float.com if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Siobhan
Pros
Resources can easily click + update pre-scheduled events vs needing to search for individual tasks/projects.

Team management has always been quite messy on our teams, and no overall was available with Notes calendar, so Float has been worshiped when we got it
Pros
Overall planning for teams, easy day-by-day task management, task categories, project / customer management, api to retrieve planning on other software (such as notes calendar)
Cons
Still quite difficult to manage 1/2 day task, no way to plan meeting easily

We were using Google Sheets to plan our resources, but it was a mess.
Pros
An eagle-eye view of whole resources and team schedules. Slack integration is just lit.
Cons
If it was there, we would have used just float for both project management and resource planning/scheduling.

Easy way to keep u with my projects and daily tasks/schedule.
Resource management, project scheduling and tracking utilization and efficiency.
Pros
I like that it is fast and relatively fluid to work in. Colour coding is helpful and information is organized in such a way that it's usually clear what you're looking at, even when fairly abstract.
Cons
Input of time for new tasks is quite clunky, at least for the way I schedule time.

Very good, easy to use, fast to learn, lot of functions.
Pros
You have a good overall view, scheduling is easy, the design view is great, reporting is easy and everything comes initially so you are really fast in knowing how to use it.
Cons
Takes a lot of time if you are operating in small tasks with for example 1h or 2h tasks.

Our studio has tried multiple other products, both software based (installed) and Saas, float just works, and is easy to use and understand.
Pros
Task scheduling and reporting is critical for our busy studio, float makes this a breeze.
Cons

It is very visual and practical. Easy to use and see.
Cons
I would like a Project Gantt aditional tool. Tasks in the Project would appear on resources assignation.

Gives you the opportunity to actively plan your time beforehand and not only to react like a classic time tracking tool would.
Pros
What makes this app unique is the ability to use it as team planning and ressource management but at the same time to track worked time and have powerful reporting and analytic tools.
Cons
Integrations could be improved (two-way google calendar sync, native toggl sync) and you need some time to get used to the main timeline view (but it works quite well, wenn you do). a way to reflect flexible work hours would be good (i.e. total hour target for a week or month but not per day). a gannt view for quick project planning would also be appreciated.

Planning resources in the near future - thanks to this we can easily know what specialist and when will have free time for some short maintenance or start new project. 2. Planning time off office days 3.
Pros
To book resource or edit time range you only need a few clicks or drag and drop.
Cons
It will be nice to get notifications about not booked time of some resource and small tool for moving all booked resources for a given project in time.

We really love Float and it’s been a game changer in effectively managing our resources across projects. We now have a clear view on our resource pipeline and it’s allowed project managers to better utilise team based on availability and make more informed hiring decisions.
Pros
Love the ability to easily drag to extend duration of tasks assigned.
Cons
Would be great if there was a better integration with our timesheet tool (Xero) to populate timesheets automatically based on plan in Float.

Hi Ben,
Thanks for your review! I've passed your Xero integration request to our team.
I also wanted to let you know that we do have a time tracking add-on in Float that pre-fills your team's timesheets based on the work schedule. You can find out how it works here, https://www.float.com/how-it-works/time-tracking.
All Float users can try time tracking free for 30 days. The Account Owner needs to activate this from the Team Settings in Float.
If you want a demo of how it works, or have any questions, please feel free to email us at support@float.com.
Thanks again for the review!
Cheers,
Siobhan
In solving time management and being able to get a good feel of how much time is dedicated to each project, Float has been great. The interface is uncomplicated and easy to understand.
Pros
It was easy to reassign my time in a day or week to a different project and move projects around.
Cons
Would be good to have feature that zooms out the timeline, enabling a better overview of the month.

Easy visual scheduling for the team
Pros
We love the easy drag and drop interface, the ease of use of the whole system, the API allowing us to create/sync projects and tasks from our project management system, and the ability for our team to sync their Float schedule to their iOS or Exchange calendars via the iCal feed.
Cons
We think there are some minor things that would make the software even easier to use missing from it: - ability to drag and drop to copy a schedule from one person/resource to another (not just reallocate) - ability to see Notes on a project by hovering over the quick note icon on the schedule - ability to see confirmed appointments vs tentative (clients are using colours to do this at the moment)

Float is one of the best scheduler/planning work commitments.
Very easy to use, great dashboards and continuous enhancements to the product.
It helps with orgnaising my time, and it makes it easy to keep track of the teams progress too, and helps especially in lockdown, for allocating time to various projects properly.
Pros
I like that I can log my time easily, and seperate each project into its individual tasks.
Cons
At the beginning, when you are working out the projects you will be working on and logging, you need to create templates to make it easier to log properly later.
