Pros
The user interface has a modern sleek feel to it. The UX is great .

Cons
I haven't really tussled with anything yet, perhaps I'll come up against pain points after longer use. Of course price could *always* be cheaper.

Team management. The main benefit for me is to, at one glance, be able to see team availability for task scheduling. It makes my job easier to hand out tasks and see who is low on workload.

Pros
Ease of use and functionality. The fact that this software is specifically designed to fulfil a task.

Cons
Overall very good. Nothing is bad and nothing that I really do not like. I am not familiar with the price structure and never required follow up service, so I cannot comment on those two items.

This allows me to manage our workload from start to completion. The integration with other tools is essential for letting our creatives “use the tool that helps them work well” and gives us the insights we need to reasonably receive and assign projects.

Pros
This program is incredible and so reasonably priced!

Cons
The design is a little basic compared to other options.

Pros
I really liked how easy it was to start working with. Importing resources and projects was easy and I liked that you could populate the template with your existing data. This made updating information particularly easy.

Cons
We chose to go with a different piece of software, Ganttic, which had a more competitive pricing structure.

Float is definitively easy to use and still brings me with the expected features. I have no regret on my choice !

Pros
I was looking for a tool that would allow capacity planning and tracking for a project management team. We needed a tool which allows to share the planning with the client on RO access. This tool simply provided me with all the aspects i wanted. moreover, it's friendlyness and ease of use convinced me (if needed) to select it. A look at the price confirmed my choice. It was without any doubt the best value for money I assessed.

Cons
As the team leader and administrator of the Float Application I feel is missing : The report Tab is not available on mobile devices. The capacity report tab is only in hours and we can't have it in load %.

Pros
As a small but growing business, Float has offered us a wealth of extra oversight of our team's project work and ensured we can keep on top of projects.

Cons
Being web-based, it often has issues with load times or inconsistent user experience but overall it's great for the price!

It was very good. Very helpful to creative teams, always flooded with requests.

Pros
Float is easy to use. Very intuitive. Just dragging and dropping, and you can see the whole team at once. It helps to define the priority of things, seeing if they have to go further on the calendar or if we should hire a freelancer when the team is too busy. Plus, I find the interface more friendly than other options like Resource Guru.

Cons
There's nothing I strongly don't like about Float. I just wish it was a little more affordable for startups.

Pros
I really like the fact that it's in cloud and it's fast to setup

Cons
Man it's pricey. We chose Float because they basically lack competition for a vertical tool that does only this feature but I don't belive the price is worth the tool. We are considering a change.

This program is helping us look at our pricing model to determine if we need to make any adjustments in how we bill. Additionally, the team members I am scheduling really like it. It gives them a clear picture of projects on them for the week and even weeks ahead.

Pros
This has been so easy for our company implement and the benefits of tracking $$ to time spent has been well worth it. So long Excel!

Overall very happy, considering purpose and cost!

Pros
Very easy to use and intuitive. It gave us exactly what we were looking for, trying to simplify our resourcing process.

Cons
For what this tool is intended to be, it's really good. I think a little bit more information in one view would be good. The resource view (with the task assignment, etc.) would be good to give a little bit more information (maybe under the name on the left).

In a small organisations, we tend to be more multitasking and domain agnostic. This brings the challenge of marrying PMP file and timesheets in calculating cost/effort estimations. At times it is not fully visible to management on the status of resourcing and the "understanding" of project between executing associates and PMs. Float fills the gap of some serious understanding between PMs and Engineers. The tool is nice and i think will mature further with enhanced capabilities based on customer feedback.

Pros
Its flexibility and viewing the effort/cost in nice timeline.

Cons
The scheduling system can be improved further. If one person is assigned in many different projects, the timeline does show it nicely but need more room for customisation to specific needs.

I've used Float for a number of years now, it's my go-to tool for scheduling resource as it's very quick to setup, and only takes a few minutes each day to update and maintain. The pricing model is also great, as it's per resource, so you can have as many (free) account as you like with access to see the schedules still.

Pros
Float is great for scheduling development resource, the biggest advantage it offers is the ability to quickly and easily make amends and changes, and seeing what impact that has on other projects.

Cons
the UX can be a bit fiddly when it comes to setting up repeating events, such as weekly maintenance windows. It does however become easier once you master the keyboard shortcuts.
