Lots of functionality if it fits your business

Pros

FP is a very versatile software program. From the ability to save templates of our most current jobs, to being able to pull reports to see which jobs are most profitable have been valuable to our business. THough it wasn't designed for a creative agency model, which means we also have to use other productivity software in conjunction with FP, it serves its function well.

Cons

It's not so much what I didn't like, it's what is not important to our business model. Things such as Tasks and Schedules aren't as easily accessible as something like Trello, and having the option to remove those tabs from the interface would be useful.

Our time keeping and job management are all in one place, whereas previously we managed those two things separately. Onboarding was very smooth and easy. Time tracking, Job Management from Estimate to Invoicing.

Cons

Lack of visual interest (i.e. would be great to look for like Trello cards /boards at a glance to see all project status at once) - also would be nice to have a thumbnail of the project (i.e. of the ad, brochure, etc.) next to the job name on all dashboards.

Pros

- It's fairly intuitive - It does keep all information on a job together, in one place - The customizable dashboards based on how you will use it in your role - Timesheets are straight foward and easy to use (makes for easier tracking on a job) - Dashboards on where a project is sitting financially are nice

Cons

- The amount of clicks it takes to get to certain areas (ie - hours assigned on a job or getting into an estimate when you don't recall the job number) - Scheduling could be so much better! Incorporating a scheduling system similar to SmartSheet would be amazing - Tasks could also improve. I'd like to see the ability to add sub-tasks or the ability to cc another person on tasks (think Trello) - Google Doc integration would be AMAZING! While function point is a great place to store things, the lack of formatting and the the chance of losing all your work by going 'back' in a browser is limiting.

Trello is essential and critical to our business. Best and easiest to use collaboration tool that can interface with everything. We have built it into IoT and BPA automated processes.

Pros

My organization relies on Trello to keep us all working efficiently and effectively by making communication and collaboration simple and easy. We have a single Kanban board that everyone uses to keep our company moving forward. We particularly value the easy to use open API which has allowed us to integrate Trello into other software so that we have a single point of collaboration regardless of the status of or function anyone is working on.

Cons

There is nothing I dislike in the software. There are a lot of addins / powerups that provide additional functionality.

Downsides of Trello are as follows: 1) User-interface is very clean - while this may sound like a positive, it can actually be a downside. The sticky notes on the Trello board display limited information. Things such as due dates, comments, project descriptions, and the like are shown after clicking the notes. This makes tracking progress over large scale projects complex. 2) No time-tracking feature - in a world of hard deadlines, lack of a time-stamp feature/deadline feature is a downside for a project management tool.

Pros

Very easy to setup and use. Its hierarchy of teams, boards, lists and cards is well defined and very effective. It serves multiple purposes quite well and provides a lot of value to wherever it may be used. It's drag and drop capabilities are great, simplifying how cards are moved across the boards when working with a list.

Cons

The application, though powerful, can use a tiny user interface revamping. It is not bad, really, just that you really need to take it through its paces to understand what it can and cannot do as well as where to achieve the functions you want. It is not as intuitive as one might think, but after using for a short time, the functions and features become second nature to its users.
