It's very easy for project management and tracking issues, bugs, and user stories

It can be overwhelming for the beginners. It has a lot of features to learn and have a steep learning curve if you want to make full use of it.

Pros

You can access easily with single sign on and setup notification on jira tickets that you need to be updated on changes.

Cons

When you try to export to Microsoft Excel you can get error message if you do not know what exact format to export.

Useful Functions, Clunky UX

Overall it is a functional product but there could be alot of improvements to the UX and optimization of functions to make it work better

Pros

Ticket field and tracking can be made easy if project is setup well.

Cons

The UX can be very clunky (especially with the new update). There could be a lot more useful gadgets for ticket visualization like an automatic gantt chart generator. Many times the tickets are slow to load and attachment adding and downloading can break.

Best so far project management

Overall, I beleive that JIRA is so far the best software to use when managing agile software projects.

Pros

If you are a senior of starting off your project management career this would be the best software out in the market. It offers true agile support when managing projects as it helps in tracking the software through out its life cycle, from planning to end of the project. Also, getting email notifications when ever a change has been made makes collaboration much easier. furthermore, the ability to integrate other tools makes it even more easier more project managers and users.

Cons

The price range would be a bit high for the new comers to the field however it's effectiveness is higher that its price. Some users are complaining about constantly changing its design and interface. Yes, they need to keep on updating it but at the same time they need to make the the software more user friendly as possible.

Pros

JIRA is great for keeping the team on track and makes it much easier for project managers to track progress towards deadlines and is a great asset when used in combination with a Scrum framework to manage tasks.

Cons

I have very little issues with the software itself. What I would say I like least about it is that when I do run into the situation of having to train someone on a project how to use it, there is a bit of a learning curve. It's fairly simple to pick up on task/issue based project development when it's sticky notes on a whiteboard, but working with a software interface can be trickier for some people.
