I like to describe Kanbanize as the Swiss Army Knife for IT leaders in mid-sized businesses. Since we at Xuviate started talking about it in our IT Leader Masterminds and 1-1 Coaching sessions so many individuals started playing with it and later adopted the software ... to the point where there is currently no other main-stream Kanban software that is regularly used by any of the IT leaders we interact with. This is both testament to the quality of the product as well as the ability of Kanbanize to stay ahead of what users need.
- The software is extremely flexible and supports almost any use-case - It is super easy for people to get started (even if they have never used Kanban before or are not in IT) - It is not just another Kanban tool and right from the start it is clear how Kanbanize (the company) is trying to change the way we run our businesses (e.g. by supporting and evangelising Portfolio Kanban) - The reporting engine is top-notch and provides both overview and many drill-down opportunities
- Individuals often are role players on multiple boards. Currently there is no easy way to show all tasks assigned to an individual and to properly prioritise daily workload. - No integration with their personal Kanban tool flow-e exists at the moment

We are using it for all procedures in Company - Customer care use it for email comunication with clients, Developers use it for devs issues and management use it for their ToDos and can easily see what issues are opened in whole company. It is really easy to use and defined workflow, automated rules (we love it). We finally have one system for all departments and same metrics and statistic (again easy to generate fo custom period)
Easy to use and define workflow/rules Statistics about solved issues Great customer care
Missing some stast, but they are on the list :)
Thank you for the feedback, Barbora. We are improving the product on a regular basis, so we can meet users' expectations and needs. We are glad to hear that you are happy with our support and features. Kind regards. Kanbanize team.

I have used Kanbanize for three months during a software selection effort and found the tool rather good. It is a general purpouse version of Kanban and may not fit specific applications but it is indeed a good all-round option.
Does what the name promises, Kanbanize is a good system for kanbans. The UI is very clear and the overall administration does not poses particular issues. The app can be applied to different domains, from software development to marketing.
Connection to the Kanbanize web site is not secure, it's HTTP only, not HTTP/S and this generates a number of warnings on modern browsers. The login and application access is then in HTTP/S so there is no real security threat. Integrations is an area where the team should invest in, only Zapier and Trello are supported.
Hi Simona. Thank you for spending the time to write this review. We want to ensure you that the connection to our web site is secure and it corresponds to the latest trends. All our pages are HTTPS. https://kanbanize.com/ We appreciate the feedback. Kind regards. Kanbanize team.

Kanbanize is being used by teams for delivery work visualition, and also at higher coordination levels to support portfolio and strategic views. The move to Kanbanize, across all levels, is showing benefits realised from the ease of use, simplicity, and increased visualisation - allowing for more informed decisions to be made, and sooner.
Extremely visually informative and intuitive to understand what's displayed. With a little bit of practice, easy and intuitive to use. Extremely configurable, powerful but balanced with straightforward to do the configuration. Great metrics available - note, it's dependent on good data being present, it's not a magic tool! Great support, help, knowledge base and YouTube video channel.
No cons, per se - more a case of expectation setting. Because Kanbanize is powerful, it does need some behind the scenes set up and configuration - this isn't hard to do, once you know how, but it does take some time and effort to understand how to do it. The support team, knowledge base and YouTube channel really helps.

We are solving discipline coordination issues. Since utilizing Kanbanize we have experienced better collaboration between teams and more opportunities for work share
Ease of use, helpful support staff, set of videos for features, robust kanban experience
Nothing. As issues arise the support team has done an excellent job at addressing them and potentially fixing them within the application
Thank you for your feedback, Shane. We are happy to hear our software is improving your cross-team collaboration! Kind regards. Kanbanize team.

Great team, very supportive and interested in satisfying every client's personal/business needs. Well organized work, great job!
Easy to use and deal projects with, easy to follow tasks execution/status, clear and easy to follow communication. Everything is well visualized.
Nothing I can think of at the moment, probably budgets can not be well tracked, but that is not the main concern of this particular product anyway.

I am a big fan of Atlassian, but for Kanban, they are really at the stone age without expensive plugin. Kanbanize provided us the perfect tool. Simple for management to get the right level of update without the details; and cross team dependencies to ensure we were not missing anything.
. The 2 boards view (Management and Team) . The Top-Down (from Initiative, Portfolio, Project, Team) . The Bottom-Up (real time update)
Management of mandatory custom fields in workflow. It can be done, but it is not as straight fwd that it should be

The board editor allows you to create really flexible board layouts with -for example- different worklows per swimlane. High-level tickets that have (smaller) child-tickets linked to them can show progress and status of all connected children. The reports and stistics that Kanbanize can generate are top of class.
Just one thing: you can only see 1 assignee on the face of your Kanban-tickets. It would be nice to have the possibility to assign more people to one task.

I love it
Kanbanize is a simple to use, nice to experience, friendly to interact software to realize quickly and in an effective way a REAL kanban board. It has a lot of features and it is able to scale in enterprise, without becoming difficult for a small business or for a single user on personal projects. The support is friendly and always asking for feedbacks from users, to continuously improve the product.
Missing some integrations (mail clients, ifttt, integromat...)

The team, [SENSITIVE CONTENT], answered questions, shared advice and made the business side of things work. We are a university, no other company with a tool at this level of capability would help.
At the most basic level, Kanbanize organizes and manages the data. Benefits are realized in the first 10 minutes of use. After that, as needs grow, the capabilities are waiting for use. I can brief students on the process, and they are able to integrate their team. Most have never seen Kanban tools before. One of my project managers, who had not used the tool before, set up business rules and templates for a student simulation project with teams all over the world.
There are no negatives. The closest I can come is a UI element in one of the upgrades. I asked about it and it was changed several days later.

Implementing big Kanban systems is not easy. Lots of task/cards, teams in different locations, lack of metrics and indicators, etc could make it really challenging. Kanbanize solves all these problems and gives many additional features to improve the efficiency.
Great set of features. Full support for any Kanban scenario (both IT and non-IT). Very useful integration API (REST). The tool itself and integration API are very stable and bugless. There is very interesting mechanism for sharing information with 3-rd party stakeholders. E.g. use to share project status with a final client. Really good support (both technical and commercial)
Pricing for small teams could be improved

Besides the software as such, customer support is first class. Technical issues are solved quickly and the product team does an awesome job in listening to users and constantly adding valuable capabilities to the product. Customer success team was very helpful in figuring out good approaches for tricky use cases.
Comprehensive modeling capabilities make it possible to express a multitude of different service workflows. Analytic capabilities are best in class. With Business Rules (automated event-based actions) advanced automation is possible, reducing administrative overhead and incidental complexity. Comprehensive API allows development of 3rd party tool integration.
Learning curve can be intimidating given the amount of options and customization. UI can be somewhat unintuitive at times.

Visualizing what has up till now been invisible. Using Kanbanize has introduced an increased sense of urgency and have allowed my teams to focus. This has in fact decreased the stress level, and I have had comments such as: "It is such a relief that I now only have to focus on few activities. Before I was hopping between 10 different tasks, but now I have only 2". Kanbanize helps to stick to the WiP limits agreed. Managers also see a big advantage in the overview they get over their teams and work progress. They can also see why activities get blocked, and many start to react on what they see. This has strengthened the communication between teams and their managers
Kanbanize is made for Kanban. This becomes very clear when you have had to use other SW that does not really support visualization and flexibility to the extent that you would like. Kanbanize is really easy to use and you can adjust your boards so they fit the specific contexts that you are working in. Making workflows that fit your situation is very simple, just as playing with colors, working with different types of blockers and sticky notes are built in. There are a lot of online tutorials that can help you get started and can give you answers to probably any question you may have.
The analytics part require that you take a deeper look into what you want to measure and how you interpret the reports. But I guess that is a 'must' anyway if you want to know the progress of your team or organization
Thanks for your review Annette! We appreciate your feedback and your endorsement. If you ever need anything, we're online and ready to help! Kind regards. Kanbanize team.

Kanbanize is my tool of choice for myself and the clients I consult for, because it provides a great user experience, incredibly adaptable to orginizational needs, at a very reasonable price.
So flexible! It's the Swiss army knife of tools, the easiest I've ever seen for designing boards/workflows, very intuitive. I like synchronizing data automatically across cards, which enables work on one card to be shared across multiple boards. I've not seen this capability on any other tool I've used. Support is top notch also, my requests are answered quickly and in-depth.
With flexibility can come overwhelm of choices. Trying to find the right place to configure something isn't always intuitive.

The vast customization of the visual workflow couple and the scaling of portfolio kanban make Kanbanize incredible value for the cost. this coupled with the top notch Customer Service and Support that lives at the Lean-Agile heart of the company.
Most integrations are done via 3rd party software like Make or Zapier. Some would consider this a Con so I have included it here. I personally appreciate that Kanbanize chooses to remain focused on valuable features for customers over maintaining a suite of integrations that can already be done by other tools.

Kanbanize and implements easily and no learning curve is required for its use; The Kanban methodology has no prerequisites for its use and guarantees collaborative work with high visibility. We only need to know the flow of the process in which we are going to work and the activities that have been assigned to us, the responsibilities are established by task and many of the actions on it are carried out directly by those responsible for fulfilling them.Another important feature of Kanbanize that makes it flexible is that communication is optimized since the need to hold meetings is reduced because everyone can see the process on the board.
Its implementation is quite simple since it allows to visualize all the impediments that represent an obstacle in the fulfillment of the activities planned in a project, in addition to having the possibility of describing comments and observations that indicate the causes of the deviations, to make the corrections. at an early stage. With the implementation of Kanbanize, we achieve customer satisfaction thanks to the improvement in delivery times and the increase in the general quality of the product or service that we have modeled.
Kanbanize's strength is based on activity monitoring, which does not show or manage more than the information that is necessary, nor does it focus on the mathematical analysis of data and metadata to generate complex progress charts in a project. It does not focus, for example, on performing a percentage efficiency analysis based on compliance dates, or developing correlation graphs for variables identified within the project. This platform, based on the kanban methodology, is entirely based on agility, prioritizing quality, applying waste reduction, and being very flexible when it comes to successful implementations and continuous improvement.

It’s changed the way we do business. What started as a way to track production in a fabrication shop has evolved and found a place in nearly every department within the company. Our Estimating, BIM/CADD, Purchasing, Project Install, Warehouse, and Manpower departments all use Kanbanize to track their work processes.
Kanbanize has given us a platform to bring our teams together. What once was accomplished through emails and phone calls, is now accomplished with the click of a button. From design to installation and everywhere in between, projects are easily tracked in an easy to use and visually appealing Kanban board.
It took a while for us to recognize and rollout all the features Kanbanize had to offer. On first glance the software is simple and intuitive, but there is so much power in the analytics, business rules, Google sheet imports and third party integrations. Once we realized the software’s full potential and learned how to take advantage of all it had to offer, things really took off.

We have supported a large organisation (market leader in aviation) transferring over 5k Users and several hundred boards from another kanban-tool provider (one which is amongst the market leaders) to Kanbanize. The impact and outcome was significant. Kanbanize offers a customer service that we haven't experienced anywhere else, they exceeded our naturally high expectations by far. We could also see...
Kanbanize has amazing features. It's a very intuitive front end, it nicely visualizes complex projects and processes, is highly customizable, allows easy work-delegation across different hierarchies and teams, provides just the right amount of information needed to drive management focus and delivers meaningful, again highly customizable, data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement....
The only point I can come up with is that it would be nice if we could fully hide swim lanes that are currently not of interest, like it can be done in excel.

We use Kanban for everything we do as a company, and we also try to get our clients to use it as we work with them. We try to use physical boards when we can, but as time has gone on, this has become less and less viable. Even colocated teams have started to prefer electronic tools and putting them up on monitors in common areas instead of physical boards. Because we use kanban so heavily and rely...
I primarily liked that the board does everything you need for a variety of situations. Many online kanban boards have some kind of limitation that makes them less than ideal, like no swim lanes or no ability to have subcolumns with a common WIP limit. Kanbanize is flexible enough to cover every situation. The "initiatives" layer of the board was not something we were looking for originally but came to appreciate. Usually, setting something like that up requires some careful board nesting and coordination, but Kanbanize does it automatically. If you want more granularity, the built-in initiatives feature may not be enough, but it's good enough to cover most usage scenarios. The metrics are the same as the ones we keep, manually, so being able to automatically generate those is great.
The flexibility does take a little time to get used to because so much is offered, but there is an extensive knowledge base. There is also only a limited ability to change a card's historical data, like time spent in various columns, but a lot of online kanban software is like that as well. Also, you get what you pay for, and although I think Kanbanize is the best product out there, it's also one of the more expensive options. Not as expensive as some, but still near the top.

We designed an assistant from scratch to fully cover the planning process of a plant for the manufacturing of phytosanitary products; from the acquisition of ERP production data to the information required at the loading port, through the digitization of the Heijunka panel with Kanbanize. We described all produced products with all the tasks needed and we created templates for every one of them. Then, the assistant filled the kanbanize boards to give the workers in the factory the information needed to execute the assigned task, log time, notify when problems, etc. Kanbanize was the management interface for all the developed tasks at the factory, and help giving the management precious information to improve the manufacturing process: production time per product, cicle time, etc.
I think that the adaptability to create any imaginable workflow that can replicate a production process, with an impressive number of cards (~2000 a day) with all the data you need through the relations between other cards or with custom fields was my first "Uau". Then I had time to discover how can we manage some automation through the Policies, and when we need more, we had a very capable API to fill the gaps.
When we needed new functionality to visualize information, we asked for it, and in time it arrived in the next releases. We had some problems with the API that also were solved in subsequent releases. To say something to help decide others, I must say that the path to solving some situations has been hard, but it's the same when you learn to use a new product. Then, in that case, you have to contact the support team.

I am one happy customer who is using Kanbanize daily for the past 6 years. My work' priorities will be lost without Kanbanize.
1) Project Visualization - colors! 2) Task tracking 3) Card templates 4) Multiple workflows on a single board 5) Swimlanes for categorizing work in any workflow 6) Seamless collaboration across teams from multiple departments 7) Create your own workflow, depending on your organization's processes 8) The software complies with every aspect of the Kanban method 9) You can learn how to progress with Kanban thanks to the build-in tutorials within the product 10) Automation
The product's main drawback is that it is a complex Kanban software due to its many features, integrations, and functionalities. Thus, it takes some time to learn how to implement the product to its best within your day-to-day work. However, for everyone familiar with the Kanban method, using Kanbanize should be a straightforward process.
