- Good cloud based time tracking service that can allocate time to projects and sub-tasks - Assign billable and cost rates to each team member, and assign a role with various permissions - Project and task notes, details and budgets
- Limited export compatibility with quickbooks Canada. - Limited customization. - Would be better with additional child task levels.

Great features. Easy to use and intuitive. The Mavenlink team is with you at every stage to help you with the design, implementation, build, and maintenance/support. The project management, time entry, and reporting are the most robust and seamless features.
There are other products Mavenlink can integrate with: Teams, Adobe. Mavenlink Support is very responsive and open to new ideas. I am comfortable bringing up new ideas knowing that it will be received well

I am able to see everything my daughter is working in at her music school and have a way to communicate directly with her teacher with any questions over assignments. It is a safe, secure wa to communication.
We really enjoy this app and being able to look up her assignment for the week, to communicate with the teacher with any questions, having the ability to upload video or pictures.

Mavenlink helped us move away from an individual Exccel-based time tracking process.
Mavenlink has a Google Chrome interface which makes it easy to enter time to individual projects without having to have the website open constantly.
We couldn't use Mavenlink for invoicing or expensing purposes, which led to doubling up on accounting tasks.

It simplified our workflow and allowed us to keep projects moving forward.
Our team used it to track complicated software projects which had many different contractors. It seamlessly integrated into Quickbooks which made invoicing and billing easy. I liked the different permission levels we could offer to our various users (clients, consultants, devs, etc).
There are a lot of different features which means there is a learning curve. The layout is intuitive but it will take some time to become comfortable.

The reporting that the software provided was very valuable to our team as we were able to gauge the success rate of projects as they were proceeding through the various steps. Knowing how many were in the Green as opposed to the Red was valuable information.
Our team had a tough time getting used to the time tracking aspects compared to the previous software that was used. Didn't seem to be a natural transition so there were still errors weeks & months after switching over.

Integrates with Google Chrome via an add-on that lets you enter time directly to a project from a side window without having to go directly to Mavenlink's website. It also simplifies the time entry process by creating weekly time cards so you can view all of your projects for that time period. Their customer support quickly responds to support tickets and queries.
The project management component feels...unfinished. It just feels slapped together, but very dated.

We use Mavenlink to manage dozens of concurrent project engagements across a number of development teams. I appreciate the elegance of the UI, the ease with which we were able to implement it in our organization, the flexibility and built-in reporting capabilities of the core product. Rate cards and financials integration is well done, and resource planning continues to be improved with intelligent updates. I highly recommend the Business Insights add-on; the extended reporting capabilities are well-thought-out. As important as the product capabilities are, the staff at Mavenlink are superb - Our Client Success rep is communicative, super-responsive and was exceptionally helpful when we cut over from our old tools for time tracking and task management.
Excellent built-in reporting, easy to set up for all members of the team. Does a great job with task, project, and role-level budgeting and financial reporting.
Doesn't retain customized views in the Gantt mode. Resource planning is good, but not quite there yet in terms of plotting multiple concurrent and projected engagements at the role level - but they're working on it. Converting estimated hours to scheduled hours works, but isn't as effortless as it could be.

Have used Mavenlink for a while now. The product is very very feature rich, almost anything from scheduling, project management, tracking, reporting and billing, everything works. The flexibility in terms of user access management is also great, can use with consultants and customers as well.
The product is expensive, also the focus on plug and play the product is rigid in terms of adopting to custom requirements. Would prefer intuit if the requirement is very custom

We run a small firm of 5-10 employee's and this software has revolutionized the way we schedule projects (MS project was far to aggressive for our requirements). Project flow, resourcing and scheduling are very intuitive and the level of detail is invaluable. The whole experience is easily customized to your kind of business (we have on average between 30-60 projects, up to 140 tasks per project to give you an idea of our scope.) We do not have a formally trained Project Manager on Staff but the interface was easy to learn and looks to be able to expand with us as we grow in size. Our setup was a logistical nightmare however. Our assigned support expert was often non-responsive to simple requests and provided almost no real training on how to set up the system in a way that was tailored to our specific company requirements and billing structure. There are no phone numbers you can call, e-mail is the only communication method provided. We actually ended up trading in his support for extra time with a training manager who finally got us up and mostly running. I would say we are utilizing about 80% of what the software is capable of at 4 months into implementation mostly due to lack of attention to detail during setup. (We do not bill or invoice through this software.) On a lower level support is wonderful. We often use the Live Help Chat (with a great success rate) and the knowledge base covers a wide range of topics and seems to be continually developing. If you have motivation and initiative this is a great product.

It is effective and has a great user interface. The ability to customize the interface with company specifics is very good. Invoices look very professional as well, and are easy to send, save as a .pdf, and attach. I had a billing problem due to a rather complicated ramp up of my licenses, and they were very good to fix it and refund the overage, without any problems.
The permission levels seem a bit off, and adding people to projects does not always work like it should. There is a work around. I also have not yet been able to integrate it with quickbooks, however I have not yet spent the time with tech help to get that going.

It was purchased as a time tracking and PM tool before I joined. Rolling out the process has been much more difficult than with other systems.
It can track time. That is about all. Nothing really works in the manner that we need in an efficient manner. Yes we can make it work, but no, for quick projects too much time is needed to set up a project for time tracking.
Really bad UI and it's difficult to use correctly. You should consider a modular set up where there are core functionalities that are streamlined for the need. It take way too long to set up a project and there are settings that can create challenges down the road. The features are not as robust as other systems especially PMing with this program. Mavenlink should focus on doing one thing right instead of trying to do everything at once and being subpart compared to other tools.

How simple it is. Our company used to use Salesforce fro its Project Management and recently we switched to Mavenlink. Its so much quicker and lighter to find things, love the Task Tracker view of a project and all the sub projects within them. VEry nice at a glance viewing things. Also, the communication activity feed is nice to communicate with clients
Only real negative that we've experienced or noticed is how reliant things are for views on the dates things are due. Some seem to cascade from a previous stage but doesn't seem like all are, so seems like unnecessary updating of dates in multiple places.

Collaboration between your team is the focus for Mavenlink and they have done an extraordinary job at allowing for quick open communication, The software is great for your PMs to keep track of each project and ensure their team is prepared to ensure customer satisfaction. This great system has not let us down at all. Hands down, best overall solution we have found.
What's not to love? It was even easy for our team to pick up on the use from day one. Potentially it could be adapted for subcontractors to participate in the sales phase, but that is a niche concern for users within construction companies.

Project management suite built on SalesForce that can make the project management experience great for a project manager. Give good overall view of different reporting aspects such as time based revenue reporting.
Painful experience as a project member. Trying to understand workloads and projected hours can be difficult with the generalize way of assigning hours to workers. Isn't a great for time management entry and can be difficult to report on hours.

Mavelink is best of all product in the world of project management applications and software because its features and functionalities are truly the best and also its ability to handle projects is amazing.
There are few features that are my most favorite and also provides me support is its advanced searching features with its effective search bar that helps me to find each and every document from my system and even the content present between them can also be find through this platform. It also enables me to track time that helps further in achieving goals and certain aims in an efficient way that increases the productivity of work as well.
This particular product has no big issues only it lacks a good customer support system that can respond accordingly. Moreover, it is a best product in order to perform various integrated functions at one single place.

This software is the reason why I am able to be organized and work 50+ hours a week. I am able to find all my projects in one place with all the files and links that I need. It saves a bunch of time than to be digging in folder after folder. There are some great integrations with Google. We use it to also track time and expenses.
I think it is expensive. If it was cheaper, I think the entire company would implement this software.

I like the variety with access to different tabs and Mavenlink could be a great software with some tweaks.
A lot of the features and functionality are not built effectively. It takes so much time to create projects and edit projects. There are no easy way to mass create tasks and create projects in both a timely and effective manner.
We are sorry about your experience and appreciate your feedback. You can use templates to mass create repeatable tasks within a project, also, when creating projects, there is a Save and Clone button that will clone the information you put in to create a new project as well. If there is a need to create lots of projects and tasks all at once, you can use the API or some of the services tools that we have built to bulk upload data. Please feel free to call us at 800-860-9544 if there's anything else that we can assist you with or to connect you with your CSM and or email our support team at support@mavenlink.com.
