Excellent software - perfect for my business

Reviewed 2 years ago

At last I have found a way to show my tasks on a calendar view, with syncing to google calendar, the ability to import other calendars, recurring tasks, etc, integrated with my trello account. Every other optino I tried enabled me to have a task list, but I had to create events if I wanted to put them on the calendar. With planyway I can have one list, viewed as a task list in Trello, but as events in Planyway. I have searched a lot of software options to find the exact solution I was looking for, and Planyway finally enabled me to do what I needed.

Pros

The integration with Trello Easy to use Affordable price

Cons

There is nothing I don't like - it does every thing I need

Its a good option but must improve yet

Reviewed 2 years ago

It's my favourite tool to plan our roadmaps, but must still improving. The price is competent thats the reason we're testing it.

Pros

Calendar vision and filtrering options Facility views to add more days of a task

Cons

Cache writing names Long items in list are cutted Must refresh the board filters changing the board you are using When someone is new in the board, the first ticket must be added on Trello or in Planyway doesn't appear The weekends are abaiable forever, so my task from friday to monday are during 4 days, not 2. Something I like from Trello for example its the notification center for the mentioning, please add it and also the comentaries section.

The Value Point of Trello

Reviewed 3 years ago

Great so far.

Pros

I would not be using Trello without Planyway to supplement its features. It is excellent - the ability to structure a day with tasks (or simply organize a list of day by day tasks) has become an essential tool for my organization. Price is just right, as well, since it has to compete with the additional cost of Trello.

Cons

I think greater access directly to the card features would be very helpful - especially things like checklists. You get a pretty good interface for the card but it's not yet "the card" itself...which can be very helpful.

Good but can much better

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

It's good for me to manager too many board with difference team and my personal items also it's very good for time mangerment and task managerment

Cons

I know I have too much task and board to made loading speed low , and select items only can "Ctrl" select one by one for delay some project and it's can't bulk edit or export excel but I know there haven't pecfect thing at the world , hope can later can add export "Planyway" to excel ( which mean export planyway list items only ) and if can bluk edit ( like airtable or bridge24 ) and I hope that have APP version coming too

Vendor response

Appreciate your feedback. I'm glad to say that last week we ran some procedures to increase the loading speed in the app and have a plan to do more optimization work, so Planyway can work faster. Also, we might have a solution for exporting data before CSV export is released. Please, connect our support team.

How I use Planyway

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall, my experience with the Planyway application as my plug-in for my Trello board is very positive! I definitely recommend this application to anyone that uses Trello for day-to-day tasks or project management. The detailed calendar view is very useful and beneficial to me because I can assign a task to each hour, or however long I choose to do so. The Planyway application adds value to my time management capabilities and allows me to not only plan my day but also, reorganize it when necessary. I like the Gantt chart view of the application, but I wish it was more robust and functioned more like the more common Gantt chart applications available.

Pros

I really like that I can quickly plan my day, by dragging various tasks (i.e., cards) in my Trello board (and from my other boards) to my Planyway calendar. I can also quickly rearrange them and give them different priorities. I like that you can label the cards in your calendar with various colors and you can see the color on the front of the cards, along with the assigned priority. I like that I can add a checklist to my cards, directly from the Planyway calendar, as well as select my custom fields options. I like the ability to incorporate very simple Gantt charts in my Planyway view. This is nice because it enables me to see, on a large scale, all of the tasks that need to be completed along a timeline.

Cons

One thing that I would like to see with the Planyway calendar is an Android app that is connected to my Trello app that allows me the same capabilities and features that the web interface implements. As for both the calendar and the Gantt chart view, I would like to see a snapshot of the card with more details by hold my mouse cursor over the card. The snapshot should include information...

Perfectly affordable alternative to Trello's more expensive features.

Marketing organization - visualizing project outflow as well as milestones and smaller deadlines all in one place

Pros

My primary goal here was adding dates to checklist items & showing multiple boards together in a calendar to organize projects. It does that very well and since starting they've added more features I haven't even had time to fully utilize. Repeating cards are great too. As a director I feel this makes my trello board much more powerful without paying Trello Pro prices for a large team

Cons

Early on it seemed glitchy- sometimes hard to get certain settings working. To their credit though I feel that has improved drastically over the last few months. The hardest thing now is actually having so many settings and possibilities I have to choose how I want my team to use it and actually keep them doing so.

Review of Planyway by Gareth Butcher

Reviewed 2 years ago

The overall experience has been great, allowing me to see and manage all my projects, tasks and appointments in one go for a high cost-benefit ratio.

Pros

To be able to see, create and edit the tasks and projects from Trello, together with my calendar events from all my calendars within the timeline view. As well as the opportunity to place starting and end dates, together with attributing tasks/responsibilities within checklists on Trello cards.

Cons

I don't like the fact that on occassions within the timeline view, links are lost to boards on Trello and calendar events on connected Google calendars disappear or are not saved. I would also like to see the possibility of automatically creating links to meetings on Google Meet when creating a new Google calendar event within the timeline view.

Vendor response

Hi Gareth, we're happy that your overall experience with Planyway was satisfying:) but I'm sorry to know that you've been having some issues with the timeline and Google integration. Could you contact us at support@planyway.com, so we could investigate this? There's indeed no possibility to link Google Meet when creating events in Planyway, but that's definitely something we'll consider.

Very helpful but on the expensive side

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

I tested Planyway when we migrated to Trello for our projects and teamwork. I found it super quick and intuitive to set up and work with, giving me a very easy-to-use overview of my daily, weekly and monthly tasks across several Trello boards.

Cons

I find it too expensive as a standard solution once my trial period ended. This may affect our decision making whether or not we will use it as a team, too.

Helps me to organize

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

Hi, I find planyway very useful. In fact it’s the only add on I require. I can achieve what I want with it. It lets me organize professionally and on my side projects. Most useful feature is gnatt chart for me which helps me understand where I have my task throughout a day or week and we’re I have to make buffers or how to maximize time effectiveness. I find it highly useful to be able to switch between boards from planyway. It’s just tiny yet powerful app. I really like it. Good job you guys! Best regards, Lukasz

Cons

Well, only thing what I miss in my plan is to be able to see multiple boards on one screen. I know this feature is in team plan, but as I’m only user it wouldn’t justify higher cost especially that I pay subscription myself.

If Google cal syncing with Trello is a must, get it. Otherwise, too expensive.

Reviewed 3 years ago

In the end, I found myself using it less and less so discontinued my subscription. It just wasn't worth $5 per month for the limited functionality it offered.

Pros

It added my Trello tasks to my Google Calendar and allowed me to see Google calendar in Trello.

Cons

The trello integration was cumbersome to set up properly so that it synced with Google calendar. I often forgot the calendar was there. For the limited functionality it offers, it's not worth $5 per month.

Going from 5 to 10 Users is a BIG jump in Price

Reviewed 3 years ago

It has actually been a good experience. I hope it is better now that we have the TEAM level so we can put all our board dates on one calendar.

Pros

The reason we went with this tool is because we can combine all our boards and the dates on each card in one place.

Cons

I think it is not granular enough to grow our business. I got the team level with 5 employees but I actually have 6. So, to make it affordable for our size right now, I had to choose 5 employees because jumping from 5 to 10 members was too much.

Great premium add-on for Trello Project Management

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall I really like using my it with Trello, better than using an Excel Gantt chart, I prefer over Slack.

Pros

It's easy to install and use. Visually appealing. Adding team members to help manage is great.

Cons

I gave 4 stars for funtionality and value for money due to the fact that sometimes if you're doing a bit on Planway it gives errors and doesn't post or update. When it works it's very helpful but it gets very frustrating when you're trying to add tasks and it won't post and just gives you an error so you have to wait and try again later.

Easy to use

Reviewed 3 years ago

Since I handle several projects at once, Planway helps visually show me what's next. I can easily move the cards around and assign new dates if necessary

Pros

I like that I manage all projects in one place. I can easily track deadlines and move cards by dragging and dropping them in new date if necessary.

Cons

I nothing negative to share about the software. I do wish there was a pricing option for a team of two. It goes from 1 to 10 and jumps significantly in price.

An Ideal Project Management Tools

Great Value Schedule Integration

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

We love the ability to link Google calendar and have everyone know what’s next! Can’t beat the price and it really does the job for smaller companies.

Good supplement to Trello

I loved the tracking and planning utilities of the product. I recommend it to people managing multiple teams and multiple projects. However, in my country, du to the exchange rates it fares expensive and cost/benefit ratio is not acceptable at the moment for our company.

The cost per user is not feasible in our country's exchange rates.

My thoughts on Planyway

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

The most impactful feature was it's integration with Trello, making the process of organizing future and on-going classes much easier.

Cons

I think that some kind of option that would enable us to create a custom routine so the application could create a event on certain date by itself, other than that, i think just the cost for those who live outside of US or north america in general, it becomes a bit pricy if you think in that perspective.

I had higher hopes

Reviewed 2 years ago

I cancelled my subscription as I didn't see the value.

Pros

It was easy to use and made scheduling a breeze.

Cons

I found that most of the functionality was similar to what you can do with Facebook Creator, especially since I was mainly using this for IG. I thought I'd be able to schedule stories but it turned out I'd only get a notification to post and even the notifications were spotty and I wasn't always able to access the post to post it from Planyway.
