Pros

In RationalPlan, however, the best way is through Reports/More/Gantt, where there are the options to help you to manipulate the image to fit on the size of paper.
It was easy to use and provided the best results. Professor did help but everything seemed easy after this software was started to used in the class.
In RationalPlan I am pleased to say that the default is Fixed Units, the changes which do not have an impact on the duration. Customer support I have found is excellent having used it several times.

Pros

The thing I like best about OpenOffice is that if integrated flawlessly with the more expensive, mainstream software packages.
The variety of export options is also very nice. The ability to open .doc and .docx files and have them look like they are supposed to is the most essential piece of this software.
I have Microsoft Office on my laptop and did not want to buy one more license. Having the option to have a free software that does everything that Microsoft Office does, it is a great solution.

Cons

If I have a problem with MS project I can usually just google the problem and find something on a forum.
I have a very old Mac that lost its hard drive. When I tried to download RT to the new hard drive it would not load the latest version due to the age of my OS.
There are several additional and variable constraints that make capacity planning software consistently fail.

Cons

My biggest problem with OpenOffice is that it tries to be Microsoft Office but is so much more awkward and clunky.
M not sure how you convert frustration to $, but at some point, you're in negative. Bugs get you there immediately.
Sometimes formatting becomes little difficult around pictures. Also Grammar check tool is missing from it.
