Pros

It's been great having so many templates to choose from and customize. Awesome that it can be integrated with MS Teams.
I love the ease to customize your sheet for whatever you need and however you like it. Love being able to switch around columns and sort rows so quickly too.
The project being web-based helps to share information with other members of the team. The ability to export to various formats, as well as get team updates is a huge benefit.

Pros

It's easy to use, and I love the Slack integration that allows me to easily post what I've accomplished within Slack. The email feature and the reminders you can set are also great.
I think the idea of IDoneThis is excellent and I love its simplicity. I've found it very helpful in keeping track of my projects and workflow.
Helps team members understand the daily plight of their coworkers. Helps us celebrate small wins across the team.

Cons

I then took the Smartsheet training to be certified and that opened my eyes to the power of the tool (and also to the fact that the sheets I hated were users in our company using it very, very WRONG).
The only complaint that I have is that if the spreadsheet is very large, the page can be slightly laggy.
Some features seem to be missing or limited features available.

Cons

The only complaint I have ever felt is when I get distracted and don't complete the daily list.
They clearly survive off of this by scraping money from people while providing no customer service and no cancel mechanism.
I use this site for a personal diary, nothing more. So its talk of group sharing is wasted on me.

One of the newest changes - I don't love that when you post a comment in a sheet, the oldest comment lives at the top.

After a bad expierence

I am a believer of what can be done with this tech, with the forms and such it has been a huge asset.

Pros

Integration, Vlookup and reference sheet capabilities, automation and workflows.

Cons

We were able to accidentally delete 382 lines of data with attachement last week with no way of reverting the sheet back past that point. This might seem like a low blow, but with Google Docs I can revert to any saved version at any time. This NEEDS to be a feature on smartsheets considering the capacity for data that can be put into a sheet. Manually re-entering data from an excel backup, provided the hard data, but not the attachments. This is a SERIOUS flaw.

The little things matter.

Pros

I use this tool mostly as a spreadsheet. With this software ,I have been able to drop instruction line for my spreadsheet and mail to a team-member for them to followup on. I basically use smart sheet to manage little tasks in our projects,and it works just fine.Don't they say the little things are what matters?

Cons

This software loads very slowly and that can be disheartening especially when I need to get work done quick. Also,there have been times when I wasn't able to use this tool , because it was undergoing Downtime maintenance.

Pros

You can modify this to run any type of business in my opinion. This helps me keep up with what employees are doing and i can schedule tasks for them individually with ease!

Cons

Pros

This feels like Excel on steroids. We are able to expand fields to include more details in certain categories. We also use it to monitor progress on individual tasks.

Cons

Perhaps this is something that has to be customized for each user, but I wish alerts and actions were done automatically. Sometimes the formatting seems a bit clunky as well.

This product is easy to use, it helps to know what information is needed and will impact the people who will be putting our future plans into motion.

Cons

The drop downs in each area are not always perfect; this results in us making more notes than should be necessary.

Pros

I like that this software doesn't try to be more than it needs to. Its as if I have my post it notes of to do tasks on my screen and can easily hide them when done, but remember them in the future if needed.

Cons

It can be difficult to find past projects if you are new to the system, it can also be a bit overwhelming with all of that information on one screen. A better category separation would be nice.

I purchased smartsheet for my Process Improvement team to keep track of tasks and projects throughout the year. We only have been using it for about 20 days but like the functionality and the structure it provides. Some of the features could use some polishing (cascading tasks, editing) but overall very good.

Pros

I really like the invite feature where anyone an view and update the sheet at their own will. I also like that you can set reminders and have them emailed to you to ensure you get a task done or remember to get a task done.

Cons

Somewhat limited functionality, wish it was a bit easier to edit and create sheets.

The product is simple and easy to use, makes project management convenient and quick to update, it is all live and saved online, it makes things easy to share like just sharing the sheet or sharing the folder, can store other file types on as well. conditional formatting tool is good, highlights late tasks and etc. reminders tool is good too when assigned a task. I came into an organisation which had 2 users on Smartsheet's and was not using it to its potential but I started using it and then the organisation took on and now all departments love the system, it is used for training, project management, bug management in development and much more.

Cons

Not sure what I liked least, as it has been all simple and gets the job done.

Once set up the ease of use and visual clarity of projects . I know exactly how much work I have done and how much I have left to do

Cons

Set up is a little more complicated than Excel which is what I am used to using. Once i got pasted the inial stages of use and became fluid in it though it was very helpful

Pros

The organizational abilities. It was so easy to assign tasks and list statuses of whether tasks are ready to be done, in process, done, waiting, etc.

Cons

The limitations of non-admin users seemed pretty high.

Getting more done and having fun doing it

SmartSheet has always been very receptive to product suggestions and very responsive to support requests.

Pros

Smartsheet is versatile. Yes you can do SpreadSheet things, but it so much more. Highlighting cells with color based on statuses of other cells. Row specific comments. Ability to see history per cell and row holds people accountable. KanBan cards effective in work progress and productivity. Sharing single rows with outside vendors to get status updates.

Cons

I can't think of anything. the updates are done on off hours and have never impacted our use of the application.

Pros

It creates a workflow with such ease. Enable the check and balances that are needed in project completion

I really enjoy using Smartsheet and continue to recommend it to other companies.

Pros

I like the ease of access for outside users with the forms created and the alerts that are done when the form is submitted.

Cons

The alerts at times come in as one email for a few notifications instead of separate emails for each submissions. At times we need to have an email for each submission.

Smartsheet is an intuitive project management tool that can help you stay on top of things.

Scheduling resources between multiple projects for an International IT team is tricky and SmartSheet does a decent job of bringing it all in so you can stay on track, but it simply doesn't feel ready for enterprise IMHO.

Pros

This is a very easy to use and friendly interface to work with. I love that I can reach it from any device using my credentials, so even if I'm out of pocket, I can reach information with a few taps on my smart phone.

Cons

We haven't committed to a single tool, so project management is tricky when using multiple tools. I admit that this is not the fault of SmartSheet, but I haven't enjoyed using it so much that I feel compelled to commit either, so there is a little work to be done before I join team SmartSheet.

Granular licensing allows it to be an effective tool for large organisations.

Pros

With some effort was able to get the job done.

Cons

It's still a spreadsheet at it's core and while there are some smarts that you can add to protect it's calculations it's still very easy to make mistakes. There is a fine balance between usability and protection, end users can easily trach your work.

Incredible program with many uses

I used as an Administrative coordinator. I ran accounts receivable reports, manufacturing schedules, product development, document management, and tracking of issues. Beyond helpful.

Pros

The program has an incredible amount of power and resources. Allows for project management, scheduling, reporting, tracking and more. Easily allows for collaboration within a department and then to the company as a whole.

Cons

There is A LOT that can be done in this program. They do offer in depth training, but it can take time to really familiarize yourself with all the functions. But wortg it.

Amazing product that helped us tremendously with project management.

Pros

Smartsheet helps my company track budgets and timelines of multiple projects in a straightforward manner. Furthermore, we use it as a scrum board to track planning. Smartsheet facilitates proper project management! It is easy to turn data into insightful dashboards, and there are many functions to automate processes

Cons

I feel that more can be done with the automation/calculations side of smartsheet. I have often put in change request forms to improve ease of use.
