Smartsheet is part of my everyday work life. I use several sheets to organize projects and departmental budgets. I would be lost without it!
You don't have to be software savvy to know how to use smartsheet. It's basically excel based but amplified. it has a million different options but you don't have to know all of them right away. You can start simple and still be extremely happy with this product.
Sometimes it's down for maintenance - otherwise I do not have any real complaints.

You can set up as many columns as you need for various tasks.
You have to export everything out of Smartsheet in order to get your information.

Cloud based project planning, Connection to Jira for tasking.
Love having a cloud based tool for project management. The tools is easy entry for anyone who has ever used Microsoft Excel and/or Google Docs. Having everything on the cloud means that my team can access their work from anywhere and share with anyone they choose. Security is a major selling point and with SmartSheet being PCI and HIPA compliant is not just expected but implicit with them.
Standard Calendar tool to visualize project plans is a bit underwhelming. Ability to use charts is a newer feature and has some ways to go before it is a go-to tool.

Fantastic learning experience with S/Sheets over the past 24 months - using this extensively in all our operations- but not the Dashboards!
Online, effective tracking, maintenance-free Able to see important metrics at a glance Makes tracking things quicker and simple
Some features not possible Not able to reject certain (blank) fields in update requests? Dashboards not really "easy" to construct.

What I like best about Smartsheet is the great amount off functionalities it has, it can be used for many purposes and it is very easy to set up.

It`s a great tool for team project management. I think it's great if used alone, never used it with other integrations. It has been easy for the teams to follow work within planned schedules.
Clear and intuitive interface. You will start working in seconds due to a very well designed UI-UX. They add newer functions very often. Dashboards are a great tool.
We experienced outages and too many maintenance windows. Not really good experience in multi user edition. Notifications may have sometimes some delay.

We have a lot of them - IT, property management, fleet management and maintenance, rental properties, project management, financial accounting.
It just does so much how could you not find a use for it! Some many integrations and features. They are constantly adding to the product which is awesome.
The email support is pretty slow and poor. They don't really prioritize that and sometimes the guides online don't match up with what's in the product. No SharePoint file adding support which is annoying.

Its pretty easy to use, I do like the ease of scheduling. I like that you can share the software and everyone is able to see it.
It's not a Facility Management software. I need something that can track my needs and inform me when certain things are due for maintenance.

It is easy and fast, portable and with very large data storage capabilities!
Project Management, document management and time tracking are one of the highlights of this program.
The only con that I could find is the down time for maintenance which every one experiences at one point. Nothing negative about the program itself.

We implemented Smartsheet years ago to fill a gap left with MS Project. We have a need to schedule 200+ projects a year for street maintenance and Smartsheet helps keep us organized and informed. The sharing feature has been game changing and allows us to share outside of our department to keep others informed and updated in real time. We no longer have to print schedules daily and instead can pull everything up on phones, tablets or any computer with an internet connection. Other departments have seen our use and are adopting Smartsheet as a solution.

We’ve used the collaboration aspect of this program so often that it becomes second nature, especially when out in the field. The mobile app is used almost more than the desktop because we’re often on the go. The maintenance has caused a few issues in the past, but we’ve learned to work around them.
We love the mobile app! It has come in handy so often. The ability to assign tasks to different individuals works well for us so that we can see when that task is completed. The fact that it integrates with Office 365 allows us to sync reminders and documents and share them with other members of the team working on the same project.
The maintenance can be a pain, even though you are warned ahead of time. Still, we do a lot of our work on the weekends and have to schedule around the maintenance. It’s a little difficult because it can last several hours, but again, they let you know ahead of time. As another reviewer mentioned, an autosave option would be a helpful tool, especially with more than one person working on a project at the same time.

I use this tool mostly as a spreadsheet. With this software ,I have been able to drop instruction line for my spreadsheet and mail to a team-member for them to followup on. I basically use smart sheet to manage little tasks in our projects,and it works just fine.Don't they say the little things are what matters?
This software loads very slowly and that can be disheartening especially when I need to get work done quick. Also,there have been times when I wasn't able to use this tool , because it was undergoing Downtime maintenance.

Good planning of construction projects
It is easy to use, runs on chrome browser and no complicated installations on harddrive needed. Excellent gantt charting and task assignment tools. Intuitive for adding comments, images etc.
Constant web connection needed for syncing and staying saved. Not clear if an offline version is present.

The software has a steeper learning curve than other systems, but is an incredibly powerful tool to use and roll out across team and collaborative working.
Smart features and great ability to automate tasks, projects and team collaborations. Ability to monitor and manage projects against a projected timeline.
Auto-saving doesn't always capture changes made, particularly if multiple people are editing the document at once and with poor connection.

A web-based program is beneficial to the user like me who has an on-the-go type of work. This helps me to access the program anytime as long there is a connection. And another colleague can also do the work simultaneously.
All-in-1 Software. The functionality of the software is superb. I can access anytime since its a web-based. This helps me compile all my work be in doing scheduling and tabulation works. It is hassle-free.
I think doing the formula. and need more additional functions like can compete with Microsoft Excel. But verdict its great. I am still working on it maybe soon they will update it.

I'll count myself among the Smartsheet users who are satisfied. This program has been helpful to me in both little and large tasks.
My favorite aspect of this program is the automations. Of course, creating papers is another fantastic capability, we also use automation to create our reports.
You need internet connectivity to access the software. In case you lose your internet connection, you won't be able to access your data.

Keeping track of the work process is a pain in the ass. But with Smartsheet automation, We have enhanced our productivity. We have saved many hours of work since this tool basically handles all our tasks. It creates forms and documents for us. Besides tracing our work process, it also generates reports to share with our team.
I like the automation feature. You can automate everything from creating forms, and generating documents to report generations. And UI is easy to navigate with real-time charts and reports.
You need internet connectivity to access the software. In case you lose your internet connection, you won't be able to access your data.

Almost no learning curves -- a great way to store and share information. We added several tools to our kit including quality control, dashboards for our customers, tracking mechanisms for preventive maintenance, and even customer facing forms for input. We really haven't begun to scratch the surface.
The most immediate impact of our SmartSheet deployment was when our phone stopped ringing. This was a good thing. Our first sheet was as a project management tool to track our packaging projects for our customers. Since our customers could see the progress of our projects they didn't have to call for constant updates and requests for drawings or schedules. Packaging touches engineering, marketing, purchasing, production, and shipping so a lot of people need to see what is happening on a daily basis. SmartSheet provided that custom tool that we needed to be a better vendor.
For us, there wasn't any dislikes. We are a small company and this was a vast improvement over what we had been doing. This was a true paradigm shift for us. It changed how we did business.

With Smartsheet I was able to coordinate with my managers on every project and track employee function and written communications. This makes reporting a breeze!
Smarts sheets real time editing excels that of Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel. It is nice to be able to work realtime in real meetings with my employees and managers. Thank you Smartsheet.
There is some functionality that could be improved for laptops on a wireless connection. The desktop however has seen no issues what so ever.

We have had a great experience not only with the seemingly endless possibilities of this software, but also with customer service. The reps are always eager and willing to work with us on projects that we have. Some of our projects include the traditional project management, but we have also found use of Smartsheet for real-time maintenance requests and records as well as a spare parts inventory! Smartsheet made it possible to have the convenience of a maintenance management software without having to make a huge investment! Very pleased with the results, capabilities, and customer support of Smartsheet. Great product and company all around.
Very versatile. Real-time viewing. Could based, any computer, anywhere! Web-form, Spreadsheets, Projects, etc. accessible by anyone, not just paid users.
Not as versatile as Microsoft Excel as far as formulas go, however, information can be imported/exported to/from Excel.

Everything involved in workflow previously was paper-focused. Using Smartsheet has cleaned some functions up, and we're hoping to transition more to the same system in the coming months.
Smartsheet allows us to share information quickly & easily among several users in different locations. Being cloud-based means we don't have to worry about backups, and being able to view cell history helps us to track changes without issue. It was purchased for work-flow management, but has become an invaluable resource for HR & maintenance as well.
If the calendar feature could be expanded to include time as well as date, that would be much more useful for scheduling.

Some good features. Don't have to worry about installing MS project on the Mac and carry your computer with you to access the file. Always just click away as long as you have internet connection. It would be good to have more analytical and graph options for the project delivery analysis.

Immediate relief of endless meetings caused by issues with collaboration and Human Resources performance tracking that can be shared with the employee in real time.
The most concise answer I could provide would be, "What doesn't it do for my business?" From project management, document control, quality and sanitation schedules, R&D and maintenance tracking, this program made my team more productive and immediate collaboration was effortless The is the first software purchase made by my company with ZERO negative feedback and immediate return on investment.
The constant improvements are helpful but I preferred a previous versions alert setup. It would be great if it was easier to share with customers that might not be on the same platform.

It is one software with an easy to use interface, which allows for reporting, tracking and scheduling.
Smartsheet is being used daily across the entire organization in various function in our daily tasks. One things that excites me the most about the software is the scheduling aspect and its reporting function. I also like like the importation and exportation features which are very useful in the sharing sheets with even the non users.The software has also an easy to use interface and allows for document security.
Its very frustrating when there is an interruption in connection and my data get lost. I would really appreciate if the add an auto save feature. I also at time experience linking issues particularly with lengthy sheets.
