*Since I started to use Smarsheet all issues are under control from a project management point of view
*Easy to follow tasks *Powerful Project Management software *Good integration with Microsoft tools (Outlook / Teams / Power BI) *Easy to build "dashboards" *Continuos improvement of the software (baselines,....)
No major issues detected. There was one point to be improved: to monitorize the changes done in start/finish date. This topic has been solved with "baseline" implementation

Overall our experience has been great, customer service and tutorials are awesome.
I like the visuals we are able to include based on the data we incorporate into smartsheets. I also like the ability to be able to post this to a website and live updates are there.
I would like to see Smartsheet better collaborate with Power BI or Tableau. There are great data visualization tools that would be a fantastic addition to the abilities of Smartsheets.

Extremely low on-boarding time for new users. Stable collaboration platform. Ability to harvest data with Power BI. Ability to use reports to show individuals their slice of a much larger data set or task list with two way updating between the report and the parent sheet. The continuous improvement model where user requested features get built in, like being able to turn a cell formula into a column formula.
No significant issues, although we have yet to use the resource/time tracking features.

Nothing to report but positive impressions
Flexibility and power. I can customize it to my specific needs.
My fault, but it is does more than I use, so it is expensive for my use--but I should use more of the features to get my money out of it.

it was very hard in setting up the automation and required a lot of brain power

Smartsheet is a very useful tool to allow collaboration, a single source of truth for the project and provides a real time picture of the status of the project and activities.
Easy to learn the basics and to develop intermediate skills as well as its collaborative power.
The reports can be difficult to set up and are not part of the standard package

It is simple enough to use but seems to have a lot more horse power if needed.
Notifications to assigned tasks are helpful. UI is clean and easy to use.
I am a casual user of Smartsheet so I have no complaints with the Gantt charting and task dependencies.

- Cloud-based project scheduling - Document tracking etc. is possible through customization - No more getting jumbled up with MS Project
- MS Project is somewhat more powerful and more common - Needs a power user to extract the most value

It does help us track projects and the alerts we've set up help keep users aware of deadlines. So for that, Smartsheet works well. We've found a workaround for the one area we've paid extra for--the reporting--that is deficient. The biggest selling point is its approachability: anyone that is familiar with a spreadsheet application should be able to intuitively understand how SmartSheet basically works. That at least removes the biggest obstacle for a project management solution being ignored: the difficulty of use.
SmartSheet allows individuals and teams to work projects together, plotting milestones and critical paths, tracking tasks, creating alerts, and using gantt charts to quickly view how various team members are allocated and intersect. It does a good job of integrating with Office 365, allowing you to share links to files in OneDrive and to Skype within SmartSheet. The revamped interface makes it closer...
The reporting functionality we paid extra for is a joke. Instead, we've resorted to pulling data into Microsoft's Power BI to create reports and visualize data. And like many other Cloud-based services, there's a core product and then tiers of functionality that cost significantly more. Smartsheet is a capable product, but I'm frankly unsure it's cost is justified by its maturity. I've had the feeling I've been paying for what's coming, not for what's already there. But since we've invested in it, I guess we'll stay the course.

A lot of functionality and has tremendous power to allow for collaboration between organization of project schedules and outlines.
Ease of use isn't great. Takes time to learn trick and the user can easily use work that is not recoverable and can cost hours of work to be lost.

In my current company we are using this software to centralize and analyze the data from all different departments. I think it has really help us and the BI team to understand many metrics that we could not see before.
However, this tool is complex as our business is and it requires a lot of work to adjust and understand all its functionality. We have had some issues to adjust the tool to our company needs.

I love the product. I built many dashboards for many projects and adoption was growing within the company, but the cost was higher than other software. It should compete with Microsoft Planner (0$) and Microsoft Project Online (10$ a month)
I love that the learning curve is so low. This helps the adoption rate within the company
Could be much easier to integrate with Microsoft Teams for example

The developers didn't have to learn a new tool in order to track time spent on tasks and also the PMs could have what they needed to track projects.
The software allowed the team to enter time on tasks in a spreadsheet like format and the PM could view charts and reports for executive summaries.
It would be nice to have an interface with Microsoft Project.

Automation is the best feature. I can assign task to anybody, get an update and set timeliness to trigger me before deadline. Milestone invoicing is something a use to collaborate with accounting team for upcoming project payments etc

Overall, Smartsheet is very good in content writing & task management. If you are a project management professional, you must use it.This will help you to represent the reports to your superiors in a different and a classy way.
Those who use spread-sheet & power BIThey also should use this tool as when you compare the cost, you will get more features in low cost.
Its not much widely marketize, As feature is quite good of this software & very ease of useSo the Developers should marketize the same into a good manner.

We use it for some time to handle client's project management. UI is just similar like excel, so doesn't need many learning from excel power user.
Even if excel power user doesn't really have a problem when using it. It still need some time to get them familiar with the user interface.

I like the power of Smartsheet! There are so many ways for you to crunch numbers, quickly and easily! Most of call, can you say CONNECTORS!
More connectors would be so great, it's a work in progress and you can create your own. So it's limitless. Not really a con.

I like how similar Smartsheet is to Microsoft Excel because it makes it that much easier to learn how to use. It also syncs with Microsoft Outlook for full project collaboration.
The calendar view is limited to only a few tasks at a time. If you want to see the full view of your current projects you need to open it in a new window.

Love the app! Super powerful.
This is a VERY flexible and powerful spreadsheet tool. Collaborate. Advanced features. But just like any spreadsheet tool, with great power comes a steep learning curve.
The only downside is that powerful spreadsheet tools have so many features, it's easy for beginners to feel overwhelmed.

Overall, it is exactly what I wanted and it is cheaper than Microsoft Project.
It basically does everything that Microsoft Project does but it is significantly cheaper. It also has helpful visual dynamics that you give you a brief overview of how each project is doing.
They license per-user which can become tedious when you have various people coming in and out of various projects.
