Workfront (formerly AtTask) offers several types of licenses depending on what functionality each user requires. There is a full license for project managers, administrators and executives. There is a license for team members and a couple different licenses for people inside or outside of your organization that you need to collaborate with.

Our Internal Agency group has been using Workfront/ AtTask coming up on 3 years. We started with 50 users and at last count, we were over 130. It has become an indispensable tool for request intake, project creation and management, reporting, resource management and cost tracking. Prior to implementation, we had a 4 person Traffic department that had to utilize 3 different platforms to track creative requests. We were always behind and our on-time rate for projects was hit or miss. Very frustrating. Within weeks of implementing AtTask we were able to easily manage all of our requests (approx. 150 per month) and track thousands of hours of task time on various creative requests. Our Traffic team is now down to 1 FTE generating more information and tracking more requests than we could ever have imagined. AtTask is a great project management and workflow management tool. It also takes care of portfolio and program management as well, which are part of the project management ecosystem. This is where AtTask shines and where I would suggest it being implemented. If you're looking to go beyond those areas, it may be possible to implement AtTask, but you may want to look more towards another solution that specifically handles what you're working to solve. An example of this would be trying to use AtTask as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool. Technically, you probably could shoehorn a CRM into AtTask, but that's not what it was designed to handle. You're better off using Salesforce or something similar in that scenario.

I have been using Workfront (AtTask) company wide now for a solid year. We have over 800 projects in the system. Users log all of the time in the system and it is the Source of Truth for project metrics including financial reporting.
