Time Tracker vs Paychex Flex Comparison

The time tracking feature is helpful to small companies who use the "honor" system as their time tracker

I think the software would benefit by being a little more user friendly

I find that is is really easy to set up both full time and part-time employees. It keeps the full-time separate from the part-time employees, easier to log time.

The cost. We are not sure if the monthly charge is worth the costs. We are in the process of comparing it to others now.

Not a clear delineation of where to input date and time. It appears as if it's going on the other line. Also, you are able to see other employee's time, which is a huge problem.

It's easy to navigate around in and the functions are great to follow as well. All around good product with several ares you can customize

Sometimes the upload can be very slow and time consuming which can slow you down in working from time to time.

Had issues with vacation time and approving time, but otherwise no issues!

It has all the basic payroll and employee time tracking and time off functionality we need.

It stopped working and at the time of this writing has been broken for over a month while they investigate the bug. We are actively working on a replacement because they left us high and dry.

Paychex is an easy to use software which provides lots of useful information! I like that I have the ability to get my pay stubs and can go back to look at past pay stubs as well. I like the time off request, because it automatically updates to allow you to keep track of PTO!

The time off request button is small and in the corner. The first time I entered PTO, it was difficult to figure out where to request the time off. The type of time off request automatically is set to Bereavement and must manually be changed to PTO every time.

Simple dashboard for users. Can view available time off, request time off, and view pay stubs and more.

Service is frequently down or unavailable. Not sure if this is due to updates to the system or just errors on Paychex's end. If fixed, this program would be rated higher.

when you clock in on dashboard it doesn't show how many hours you have accumulated for the week.

Paychex is very user friendly. I like how everything you need to know is in one system. Makes things easier.

Logging in is time consuming sometimes. Paychex goes out all the time causing you to not be able to clock in/out on a real time basis.

This product has an easy to use interface and great up-time.

Maintenance windows seem to be during business hours so from time to time we have downtime.

Paychex Flex is simple to use. Clock in and out, see your time card from previous weeks, request time off, etc.

The user interface is not the prettiest. The fonts and colors are distracting, as if they're trying too hard. Also, the log out feature after 30 minutes is frustrating. Especially when it takes another 2 minutes just to log in to clock back in.

Better than using time card.

Too much fluff and extras. Needed services should be readily available.

It is easy to navigate through, and tracks my paid time off, deductions, hours worked as well as accrued time off.

The only con is if the internet goes down while I'm trying to clock in or out. I think it should only have one quick link to access my time card instead of all of the questions.

The functions provided by Paychex Flex are comprehensive. There are benefits-online-checking, eServices, Time and labor online, and stratus time functions. The function I like the most is the 'stratus time function". Employees can use it to log in, clock in, and clock out, and employees can even perform other attendance tasks such as requesting time off from the same interface. This information and data can be connected to an overtime database so an employer can easily see the big picture of the payroll structures. W-2 information can also be automatically generated by this app.

The database response time is not very fast sometimes. Customer service lead time may be further improved.

EASY TO USE, EASY TO NAVIGATE, GIVES YOU ALL THE INFORMATION THAT YOU NEED FOR YOUR TAXES, PERSONAL INFORMATION AND PAY AND BACNK INFO.

IT FREEZES FROM TIME TO TIME, IT IS OFTEN NOT RESPONSIVE AND SAYS IT CAN'T FIND THE PAGE, AND TAKES TO LONG TO CLOCK YOU IN AFTER YOU SUBMIT THE TIME.

Simplicity of use. The reporting is also very helpful -- not only for taxes but also for research when an employee has a question.

I've experienced glitches from time to time. However, the Paychex customer service reps are quite friendly and helpful.

I love that I can access the time clock and punch in from my phone! No more clocking in late or lost/unpaid time while you wait for your computer to boot up. Not only can you manage your time card but, you can even check on your 401k and manage your investments. Requesting time off is so simple too.

Hardly nothing! There are a few features that are only available/visible on the computer version that are not on the mobile version which is a bit of a hassle but, so minute in comparison to the many accessible features.
