I've been using the free version for about 3 years I think. It's critical to my business. It doesn't have so many features that it's frustrating - it's just nice and simple. The paid version has WAY more features and tools that would be useful for a business of more than 1 person, or for someone who's a better business person than I am.
It's very easy to use, and the FREE version is all I need. I have a little app that runs on my computer that even reminds me to track my time if I'm not timing. I get really wrapped up in what I do, so it's easy for me to spend way longer than I anticipated on things. Being a solo entrepreneur, it was critical early on when I was trying to figure out how long things actually took me to do. I don't think I'd have been able to develop a clear enough pricing strategy for projects because I literally had no idea how long it took me.
The Windows app does undergo changes every now and then, so it gets a little glitchy. Right now, I can't hide the timer away like I used to be able to. I'm sure that'll be fixed by next updated but in the meantime it's only a minor annoyance for the benefit of the program. Which again, is FREE.

We've been using Toggl in our business for over a year. It's key to track the time it takes to do certain tasks. We didn't know that when we started and we weren't tracking anything. When we found that out, we started tracking our times manually (writing the time of start and the time we ended in Evernote) This activity itself took too much time. But when we discovered Toggl it was productivity-changing! It's essential for our daily activities now. We considered many options like RescueTime and others I don't remember but found Toggl to be the most straightforward/easy to use
How EASY it is to use the features. I love that it remembers past entries so you don't need to retype any frequent activities. Also, the reports are really detailed. And I really appreciate it when I get an email from Toggl because I forgot to stop the timer; really useful!
The fact that it has not a mobile version of their site. The Toggl app was a total mess since the day I installed even though they tried to fix the issues updating the app several times (and even making a NEW app) but with no results. So when using my phone, I rely on their website to access my Toggl timer and reports but it looks terrible on phones. Also, their reports are not directly accessed via the Toggl desktop program but it opens the website (so when I have no internet access I cannot see it; it would be cool if I could).

Initial program as previously indicated, easy setup, good initial price, but with a fairly high lack of development. We believe that this prevented us from having it as number one since our needs rose and we needed immediate data and access that the program did not provide us with.
One of the first time management applications that we used in the team at my company Chevron, we really believe that it was the best but it lacked development, the strong point is that it is at an affordable price, long-term and major clauses could be modified benefits, on the other hand it gave rise to a culture of taking time in the company, before we did not have that capacity to realize the time we were wasting, and this application was originally a good test and started saving time as it should.
Good time taking, but very limited, remote control did not work, difficult access to collaborators with a pin that did not reach, bad support among other characteristics.

We are thoroughly enjoying using Toggl Track. Its intuitive interface and powerful features have significantly streamlined our time tracking and project management processes. The detailed insights provided by Toggl Track allow us to analyze our productivity effectively and make informed decisions. Overall, it has greatly enhanced our workflow efficiency and organizational transparency, making it an indispensable tool in our daily operations.
- The easiness that we can track our daily time - The way that we can easily see reports - The Client, Project, Task and Tag hierarchy - The fact that Toggl helps education organizations
We didn't find anything that we dislike.

Toggl is super easy to use and I like how it’s capable of visualizing all of your time in various charts.
You do have to be consistent and granular in how you log and tag tasks to make sure they show up in the right categories.

I use Toggl every day to track all tasks and invoice them to my clients. It's one of my main tools for my job.
Easy to track tasks, chrome extension, reporting
Needs more integrations with external tools, but chrome extension helps to keep tracking tasks.

Overall, it does what I need to. I have tried many MANY time tracking softwares over the years, including the time tracker included with FreshBooks - which you would think I'd use as it integrates directly with my billing - but I kept coming back to and using Toggl, despite the few hiccups I encounter.
The key for me here is its ability to integrate with my project management software: Asana. Beyond that, I think they have a good cross-platform presence with their easy-to-use mobile app and, desktop (Windows) app and web app; I use all 3 regularly but the desktop client the most. Oh yeah, and the Chrome extension.
Its cross-platform nature also proves to be a challenge (at lest for me). There are 4 places I set it up (see Pros) and sometimes they conflict / send duplicate messages / aren't in sync or don't sync very quickly. If you're on one computer, this isn't an issue but when moving between devices this isn't as seamless as I'd like. Part of this might be attributed to my own connectivity challenges at times and the configuration of each client on every system. The thing is, I don't need notifications from the web app and desktop client and the desktop client on my laptop next to me. But the Chrome extension is required to sync with Asana and I prefer to use the desktop client when, well, I'm at my desktop. So... short of going in and honing which notifications show where, it remains an issue. I have done this, yet I tend to format my system a few times a year and having no way to "remember" these settings becomes a pain. I also spend more time than I'd like correcting tags, and making sure tasks are categorized properly. There's an odd bug in the Asana integration that forces me to use a mouse to add tags rather than keeping my hands on my keyboard. A small nitpick but it does mess with my flow.

I have used it on and off for years (I'm not all that good at tracking time consistently), and now that I have figured out the integration with Asana, I am smitten.
what I most love about the software is how it integreates with Asana. You link the two in Chrome and then you will only need to click a link icon next to a task to start timing. That way, all your work on one task will be tracked together. I have all that I need in the free account, and would certainly keep using it if I need to upgrade when, down the road, my team would grow.
Nothing that I can think of. I am really happy.

Toggl Track has been our main tool to increase work productivity, it has allowed us to exhaustively evaluate how we are taking advantage of time and in this way make the pertinent changes so that each member of the work team improves their work performance and take advantage of each minimum moment to streamline your tasks, in this way in a global way we allow ourselves to grow and achieve projects in a much more agile and efficient way. It allowed us to carry out a more detailed study on billable hours to manage a much more precise payroll payment and not leave anything out. Without a doubt, it gave us a complete look at the monitoring of activities and the time we are investing in it to give it the importance it requires and start dedicating much more attention to things that we are leaving out or automating the workflow much more and increasing our possibilities of success.
Unique platform that fulfills important basic functions, participates in the monitoring of time and work performance of our work team, it is an integral contribution that helps us in the supervision of billable hours, how time is being used, and if they can be improved in certain aspects to make it even more useful. It allows us to structure the fulfillment and management of tasks to evaluate the most efficient time needed to carry out different projects, to determine the most optimal activity times. It can offer a very extensive database where it is possible to view the status of the work productivity of each team member, all in real time, it is also quite useful for assigning access control and distribution of activities. Likewise, it participates in the invoicing and payment of payroll, it helps us through various tools, undoubtedly easy to use, the development of payments and manage through the database the payment of payroll according to the number of billable hours.
I do not find predominant disadvantages about the use of the platform, our use is recent and since we have been using and evaluating each of the tools together with its interface we discovered that it is quite comfortable, offers a good user experience and also the tools represent the utility we really need.

Toggle Track allows me to see how I am spending my time and what is giving me the best return. I can also determine which tasks to outsource or drop completely if they are not benefiting me or my business.
The ease of setup and use was huge for me. The mobile and desktop apps are clean, modern, and easy to use. I can track anything at any time, and I use it daily for both business and personal use.
It is sometimes frustrating to accidentally drag time segments around while scrolling the calendar and not having a way to undo those changes can lead to issues with chronology, which I often use to reflect on my day.

I feel like such a freeloader because I've always used the free version of toggl and it has been more than I need for all of my time tracking needs. I started out using it as a freelancer, and it still works at the free level for me even with a couple of team members. I absolutely love Toggl, so the least I can do is leave this review for them.
I love the simple interface and how it provides the option to discard your inactive time (for those cases where you leave your desk and forget to pause your timer), keep your time as part of your existing time tracking project, or save the time to a new time tracking project.
I've been using the software for over 5 years. Initially there were some hiccups, but that has all been ironed out now. This is as close as you get to perfect software that does exactly what you want it to do.

I have been using Toggl for more than 6 months. It helps me to see where and how much time I am spending.
1. Available across all major platforms like Android, Apple, Windows and Chrome. 2. Tags. 3. Reports. 4. Suggestions of time entries based on history as we write to enter new time and task entry.
1. Lags too much. 2. Errors in automatic tag entries. 3. We have to stop timer first to enter manual entry.

We found Toggl several years ago and have been loyal customers due to cost and ease of use. I do recommend this for any organization that is looking for a more formal way of tracking time and doesn't require a lot of training and minimal set up. We were relying on spreadsheets and paper timesheets - this upped our game several years ago, and we won't turn back.
We are a church so cost is a high priority for us; We use Toggl Track with the non-profit pricing and that is how we've been able to work with Toggl for so many years. Our part time, hourly employees all use the Track for their time and our team finds it easy to use and a great option for our needs.
At times, we have issues with syncing and it can be frustrating but that happens infrequently

Great experience. Would like to see improvement on the weak parts, but these wouldn't stop me from using Toggl by any means.
Ease of use, stability, features, tracking local activities on pc's to assign time worked on projects afterwards if you forgot to start a timer. It does a great job dividing tasks into several chunks according to activity.
The userinterface, for instance searching for and managing projects and clients is clumsy and could be a lot more streamlined.

Before I used an Excel sheet to record what projects I worked on, from what time to what time... and that needed a lot of maintenance, and I eventually stopped using it. With Toggl Track I can see which days I worked over time, or under time, so that at the end of the week I can compensate, and when it is time for timesheets, I can go to Toggl and see how much time I spent on which projects. It is also useful when you have a time budget for a specific task, I can compare the time spent VS budget, and see how I can improve (work more efficiently). Toggl Track has made tracking time easy and effortless.
The first thing that I liked when I started using Toggl Track is how the app looks. For something you will use everyday, it must have beautiful design, and in my opinion this app is well designed. Second for me is how practical it is to log the time entries. Some apps are online only (which I am not a big fan), and this app allows time to be tracked on a windows app, android, apple devices, internet browsers... I used the Windows app the most because I log my work hours and I work mainly on a laptop. Third is how easy is it to find relevant information about time tracked, or time reports, and Toggl Track gives me weekly reports with all the projects I worked on, it can give how much time I have spent on a project overall, and recently we can see our time logs on a calendar view (very useful).
One feature I felt was missing is the Google Calendar integration, but I received a notification today to inform me that the feature is now available for beta users, so it is coming (and we do have the option of URL for paid users). In general I don't like monthly subscriptions, and I prefer to avoid those when I can... and I would gladly pay for a once-off fee (reasonable for my corner of the world)... but the free version does all that I need from the software, so I can't really count that as a negative really. I am not a big fan of the pink app color... but don't hate it either... just wish they picked a different color.

I have been using Toggl Track for a a year now and my overall experience has been really positive. The app is incredibly easy to use and the interface is clean and intuitive, making it quick to get up and running with tracking your time. I love the ability to easily add tags or notes when starting/stopping timers, as well as being able to quickly switch projects with a few clicks. There are also plenty of powerful features such as reports, team management options, invoicing integration and more - all of which make managing multiple projects much simpler than ever before. All in all I'm very happy with Toggl Track - it's become an invaluable asset in helping me manage my time better! My overall experience with Toggl Track has been incredibly positive. As someone who works remotely, I find it invaluable for helping me to stay organized and productive throughout my day. It allows me to easily keep track of how much time I’m spending on each project or task, as well as where that time is being spent – this helps me to identify areas where I may need to adjust my workflow in order to be more efficient. The ability to set reminders and customize labels makes it easy for me to quickly see what needs attention first and prioritize tasks accordingly. Finally, having all of the data in one place means that I can quickly generate reports about my progress whenever needed – making reporting back far simpler than ever before. Overall, Toggl Track really does help make life easier when wo
1. Toggl Track has an incredibly intuitive and user-friendly interface that makes it a breeze to track your time on projects or tasks. 2. It offers detailed analytics, allowing users to more easily identify areas of improvement in their productivity both as individuals and as teams. 3. The app also supports integrations with other tools such as Slack, Asana, Trello, Jira etc., making it easy for teams to stay connected while managing tasks. 4. Toggl Track integrates seamlessly with multiple payment systems like PayPal or Stripe so you can invoice clients directly from the app without any hassle or manual inputting of data into third party software tools required. 5.The mobile apps are available on iOS and Android platforms which makes tracking progress even easier when working away from a desk or computer screen
Toggl Track is a robust time tracking tool, it may not have some advanced features that more specialized or complex project management tools offer. For users requiring advanced project management functionalities, they might need to integrate Toggl Track with other tools to complement their workflow.

I’ve tried other time trackers & they did not have these features. I will definitely always choose Toggl!
I use Toggl for all of my time; business & personal. I love how you can start typing any word that you’ve used in a description & it will start listing the recent ones with those letters/words. I also like that eventually, but not too quickly, those recents will go away so that old events don’t bog down my list of choices. It’s super quick for me to switch to a new time; sometimes, if I’m in a real time crunch, I’ll just press play on any recent tracked time to quickly get a new one started & then when I have a chance, I just change the description. I like that they made it super easy on their website to change old descriptions in mass, sometimes I change my mind about how I like to see things. I just go to the reports that show each tracked time separately & filter by the one I want to change, or, I sort alphabetically & go through the history to make sure I like all the current ones. I do that big one about once a year. I like my historical reports to be consistent.
Once in a while, there have been errors or changes they make that I don’t like but they are very fast at fixing it & receptive to hear the details of the issues I have. They’ll even ask me for more details & if I can provide recordings of errors occurring. That shows they actually care when people have a problem, in my opinion.

I have had no issues with using Toggl. We have been using it since before it did all of the extra cool stuff for project management, etc. so the core of the application has always been a great tool for us.
Toggle is very easy to use. The Windows app has an easy punch in and punch out function allowing quick changes in time management. The integration with JIRA (our task management software for development projects) has made the process even simpler. The support team for toggle surprise me by their greatness every time I need them - it is rare to find a company with a responsive and helpful support team available. I have yet to leave a support chat unsatisfied or frustrated.
Because this is mandatory I'll insert the one thing I don't like. I think the tiered pricing for features can be a bit annoying. As features are added to the time tracking tool they are at an additional cost which I'm not looking to increase the costs of the tool at this time but would like to see additional features within the licensed product I use as it is good to have ongoing improvements.

I use Toggl Track every day for many activities and it has become a core component of my daily routine. I use it for my education, projects, and work. Furthermore, I use the reports to determine how I'm using my time to plan out my weekly routines more efficiently.
This is the only time tracker that I recommend using. It is simple and easy to use. The interface is user friendly and it's simple to learn how to use. It has the option of using a mini tracker which is convenient for performing tasks on the computer or phone without disruption of the screen. It provides condensed reports of time spent and categorizes where time is being spent. It also allows you to track the time with a convenient macro key that brings you bag to your previous task. Furthermore, the service also detects when you are doing activities that you normally track time and reminds you to track the time spent.
The overall interface can be improved to add for more customizable options in terms of color and design. It could also improve by allowing user to change the design to fit their style preference.

I consider Toggl Track an essential tool for any office manager looking to optimize time management and improve their team's productivity. The platform offers a comprehensive feature set and excellent value for money.
I love how this platform allows me to effectively track time spent on different tasks and projects. The ability to generate custom reports is another of my favorite features, as it allows me to analyze my team's performance and make informed decisions to improve productivity. In addition, Toggl Track's integration with other popular tools, such as Asana and Trello, streamlines my workflow and saves time on my daily tasks.
This platform is very effective, but I wish they would include more customization options in the reports.

I like to use Toggl Track everyday to keep track of all the time I work in each task and know which projects take more time. I also use it to track my team's time and workflow to ensure that everything is productive and tasks are being completed in time, to avoid any issues during our projects, and when working with specific clients, this tool comes in handy too. This application has allowed us to be more mindful of our time and it's just a simple tool that helps us achieve better results faster.
I like that Toggl Track is a simple yet complete software that has so many features needed for effective time-tracking and organization. I like that you can view all the things you've done throughout the day in the Google Calendar, and have everything labeled properly so that you can know how much time each task will take. Using Toggl Track is not difficult at all and I'm glad that it has such an easy interface that gets straight to the point. Using this application offline is also possible, and I am able to track my time entries without needing an Internet connection and it will automatically synchronize with the calendar when I'm back online.
I think that the price is a little bit higher compared to other solutions that are out there, but I also think that the convenience that Toggl Track offers is unmatched, since it can integrate with many other programs that we use in our daily work, which makes everything much easier when combining the data. If you specifically use a software every day in your workflow, the chances that this tool integrates with it is high, which is something I like. As for difficulties, I find that the reporting tool can sometimes be a bit difficult to use when it comes to selecting the data I want to analyze.

Love it!! Has been the best tool I’ve found for time tracking and there’s so many small details that make it very user friendly and not the normal tracker
The ease of Toggl has made it so much easier to track my time compared to other apps. I use it everyday and it’s hands down the best solution I’ve tried. Every small feature makes a huge difference and that’s why I keep using it. I have ADHD and time blindness is soooo hard for me. So having a fool proof system and all the bells and whistles are the only thing that is truly keeping me in line. I use the chrome plugin, the desktop tool, mobile so I can start and stop quickly. I love the new feature where it shows what was detected so you can guess in case you need to go back and add manual time. I also really appreciate the new feature where when you switch windows, it will suggest you start recording your time in case you forgot. That reminders and the email reminder that my timer is still running is huge!! The multiple categories and recall of related and past projects that auto populate suggest are also amazing. The color coding and ability to switch between calendar and list view is super helpful and I use both every day.
This isn’t really a Toggl issue but I often forget to turn it off, frequently. The emails are helpful but often I don’t see them until later and if it’s out of sight, it’s out of mind. Since Toggl had the ability to see in the background what apps I’m using, if it notices none are being used, offering a suggested turn off that you can opt in when you return. Where either in the warning email or when you you see the timer next it would say, it’s still running but “we recommend ending it here”
