Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
How GetApp verifies reviews
GetApp carefully verified over 2 million reviews to bring you authentic software experiences from real users. Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

We have used Toggl since the very beginning of the company and have never had any major issues with any of its functionalities. The constant improvement of the features and the addition of new features and functionalities will make sure that we stay a customer of Toggl.
Ease of setting it up and reporting data from it. The development team added many good features since we started using it.
I would like to have a specific feature to manage running costs.

Overall I'm left unsure who the market for Toggl actually is as its features are so limited you may as well use other more mainstream free software (like Google Calendar) which even has better functionality. And that's saying something as I'm not a fan of Google's shoddy UX!
I mean it does the job with basic time tracking functionality.
It's annoying to have such limited customization... you can't easily group entries, mark items as billed, share a single entry (like with a link rather than the whole project), add extra info like notes, and so on.
