The initial setup took less than a minute. The site is very intuitive and allowed us to get working right away! There are some great features built in, but they don't get in your way like some of the more robust applications. We were in search for an easy to use, web based collaboration - productivity tool for some time. Started using Trackolade a little while ago, and it's now our team's main workspace for the majority of our projects.
- easy to start using - perfect for collaboration - intuitive design - great features if you want them, but they don't get in the way - activity logs - great discussion feature - integrates with box.net - responsive support staff
waiting on more integration with third-party apps;
I like how easy it is to get started - just list out the things in your head that need to get done. In that sense, it's organized the same way my brain is. Once the assorted tasks are in there, I start attaching dates and team members to them. I like the recent activity tab - it's very easy to get up to speed quickly on current status, even if I've been away from a specific project for a while.
Ease of use, intuitiveness, streamlining, recent activity report
This is a cool site that was was fun to try out and it really has everything you would expect from a basic task tracking tool plus some additional features. Project setup was simple and creating a task list was really fast. I really like the discussion/comment feature embedded within each task and especially the ability to choose to generate emails (or not) when commenting on a task.
Simple solution that does not overcomplicate task tracking, attractive design, fast sign up and setup process for project/task build out including drag and drop task feature.
Like any new collaboration tool it still needs to grow its user base to enable broader use. Having to get others to signup and switch from other tracking tools while minor is definitely a short-term obstacle.
Trackolade is currently free!
