Great for collaborative project management

13/02/2017

We continue to use Trello for UsefulScience (www.usefulscience.org), and it is effective for managing our workflow from inception to posting, which involves identifying interesting articles, creating drafts, collaborative commenting on drafts, revisions, and posting. It's fairly easy to get started with, and scaled well as we brought on more contributing authors. The interface is quite clear, and the ability to put links in notes allows cross-referencing, which makes the platform quite powerful. It's free for us, so the price can't be beat.

Pros

simple and effective for collaborative projects and to-do lists.

Delightful Task Manager

07/12/2016

As for a To-do list, it's very straightforward and powerful.

Pros

A fantastic to-do list and I very much like the ability to create checklists.

Cons

More challenging to effectively track what's due, what's past due in all the many projects we have at a glance without going into each one.

Great for organizing and reorganizing content or projects

12/10/2016

I've been using Trello for a while for a number of different projects. I use it with a team to help coordinate tasks so each member has their own list and each assignment becomes its own card. I use this for my design business to organize clients and their projects by making a list for each client then adding projects as cards. I also use this for my blog so I have a way to have ideas, things to research, what to write, edit, create graphics for, publish, promote, etc. I've even used Trello to organize some of my daughter's activities at school and outside of school. It's a really flexible system that can be used for a ton of different applications. The ease of moving cards around and reorganizing them makes this idea work for a lot of different systems. I've really enjoyed using Trello over other systems because of how flexible it is.

Pros

The ability to move things around and organize a system, however each user sees fit, which can be different for different projects.

Cons

It's overwhelming because of the unlimited options available but Trello does do a good job of providing guides to get you started.

Trello is a fantastic product

08/04/2016

Pros

Trello is a fantastic and free product. It's widely used and super user-friendly. I like the fact that it presents kanban-style boards that make it easy for anyone to work with either a personal project, or group projects. This is great for anyone not using scrum or agile.

Cons

It's best for people working in non-agile environments, but it does what it does very well.

Trello Keep it Simple and Very Usefull

10/01/2014

With Trello I don't need to think all the time about all the stuff I have to do. No more "to do" lists in mind and papers around.

Pros

The search functionality, including the search within the archived items. Allows to send emails with attachments and images directly to any task list in Trello (with subject and label).

Cons

No Web, no Trello! ( but you can print and export lists to google drive )

Genuine Review From Trello (Free) User

25/02/2017

I have been using Trello for about a year now, and I use it daily for projects and project management. I have found that Trello is the best management tool when you need to collaborate with others, especially with clients, as it is super simple and users don't need to study how it works first unlike other software in the same category. With a few simple tips, people are able to use it quite easily. Therefore, it saves time.

Pros

Very easy to use, so it saves time because you don't have to study how it works first. Logical; it makes sense. Best for collaboration with other once-off users.

Cons

I would like "due by" dates for each "to do" item.

Kanban style - Using Kanban is just a great way of doing things, for me.

Pros

- Live syncing - Free - Collaboration - Great apps for all devices - Kanban - Flexible - Some cool (chrome) extensions - Keyboard shortcuts

Cons

- Doesn't really work offline (kind of does, if you experience a temporary outtage)

Great for visual thinkers

26/01/2017

I love being able to visually track the progress of projects clearly. You can easily create tasks, assign them to the appropriate team members, then individually show the progress and leave notes. Awesome way for team members to coordinate on projects, especially those that are visual thinkers.

Pros

It has been easier to figure out who is doing what and what progress they have made while working with multiple teams on complex projects.

Cons

I wish I could change the color of the border around the list. I think it would help recognize categories quicker.

Trello as a Project Management Tool

01/12/2016

Trello is the tool that we use to collaborate with the client and internal projects. It has helped us streamline our communication within our organization, and with clients and freelancers. We are all able to talk and collaborate on projects so we are all on the same page. We are able to create the checklists that we need so everyone knows where we are with a project. Also, having the ability to set due dates and tag people is helpful.

Pros

We can create checklists and add due dates to everything we do. It also helps that we can tag people to collaborate on tasks.

Cons

I wish Trello could do more, like integrate with more applications.

Decent Project Management

27/09/2016

I share out my Trello Board with my client, so they can have access to my "To Do list" so they can see progress of the project.

Pros

Sharing features with team members is really nice. especially with pictures and graphics. It does integrate into a digital calendar.

Cons

I would like to see a Google Calendar integration. It does integrate with Sunrise Calendar and you can merge Google calendar into Sunrise, but that's another App I downloaded and synced and I ended up not using the calendar option as much.

Useful task board app but needs a disciplined process of your own to really get value

18/03/2016

To its credit, you can do a lot with Trello for free.

Pros

Free version does all you need, forever Super easy to use Mobile versions for smartphone/tablet Can include rich media Can make checklists very easily

Cons

No rules to enforce dates, etc. Need third-party extensions to add features you'd think would be standard No easy way of exporting/printing Can't auto consolidate checklists within the same task Changelog notes on mobile apps are really weird

Simpler Project Management software

27/09/2016

With an industry packed with competitors offering different types of project management softwares, Trello offers a software that is definitely more user-friendly with great customer support.

Pros

The ease of use is great. Many of my coworkers that aren't good with tech found it simple with a better learning curve.

Cons

Compared to other products, Trello does possess less features, but it really depends on what you need.

Can't imagine life without Trello

03/10/2016

Trello makes it easy to prioritize lists by making it an option to slide cards/to-dos up and down on your to-do lists (rather than what you'd do on a post-it, which is re-write the entire list to be in order if you're OCD like me).

Pros

Trello is AMAZING! It has such a simple and easy to use interface, I was able to learn all the features very quickly. Trello makes it super easy to create workflows, checklists, notes for reference, etc and has greatly increased my productivity at work and in my personal projects.

Cons

Not much NOT to like. Possibly more powerups?

Stores ideas and tracks progress

I use it to keep all my 'things to do' in one place, and find it especially useful for those 'background tasks' - ones that don't have a defined timescale (although Trello helps with those too) but that you need to do when you have a spare 5 minutes.

Pros

Great for collaborating - those tasks that anyone can do. Colour-coded labels help categorize where appropriate.
