Clearly visualing tasks, flows, processes

2018-04-20

Great process mapping and visualization capabilities

Pros

Easy to get started straight out of the box. Great for visualising packages of work, process mappings, laying out a sequence...

Cons

While great for visualising, average as a task management app. Todoist or Asana are more appropriate for folks wanting to tick boxes for daily tasks.

Good for small project, not as good when they grow

2019-02-08

I like Trello and I work with it ever since, when it got acquired by Atlassian I expected it to become more stable but it didn't help much. That's indeed, even if little, disappointing.

Pros

I like the fact that there are tons of other tools, like PomoDoneApp, Todoist, Toggl to name a few, that perfectly integrate with it.

Cons

Even the paid version gets terribly slow when it has too many cards, where similar tools have no problems at all.

Trello - Another Great Todo and Organizer

2018-11-14

Still new to the game, but I'm excited to learn more about it through Lynda and other online tutorials.

Pros

I like all the available training and the ease of use on setting up boards and sharing them with co-workers.

Cons

Too new to say at this point, but it seems very similar to Todoist and Asana.

Without Trello, I don't think I could do my job

2016-08-30

I use Trello at the boutique marketing agency I work at for project management. Trello's kanban set up makes it extremely easy to follow the progress of each project we work on, internally, and for our customers.

Pros

I also like the integrations Trello has, including Todoist.

Cons

I have no complaints.

Visual and Easy Task Magament

2018-07-03

I prefer this Task Management software over Evernote and TODOIST. Its a cleaner layout, simple to add, archive and delete tasks and I can manage multiple projects on both a work and personal front without having to switch apps

Pros

The ability to segment core task groups and then set up sub groups of those tasks is a huge plus over other task management apps. I use this for personal and work projects and love that I can manage both from the same app. The User Interface is much more attractive than TODIST and similar apps.

Cons

I would prefer that you be able to expand the list items in the main dashboard view which would enable me to better see the next task I need to perform. While each list item does show the title I wish it displayed 1-2 lines of the last activity which would remind me of the next task without having to fully open the item. I also wish that there was a "summary view" that showed all of your cards

Very user friendly and easy to learn task manager

2018-06-05

Collaboration with other users on many different devices about brainstorming and task management was awesome !!

Pros

The ease of use on both desktops and mobile devices is outstanding. Everything works intuitively and is very user friendly. Also all the options to add different comments, fields and data to cards is awesome

Cons

I just like the Todoist ease of use more so that is why it didn't get a full 5 star rating

Got to use this more!

2018-12-21

Pros

I've been a user of ToDoIst and MANY other project management software programs, but this seems to be very easy to use and straight forward.

Cons

None yet - need to use more. Overall, I think it's solid piece of software and package

For the person who's tried every task manager out there, Trello just works.

2015-09-08

It's magical - I don't know how else to describe it, nor do I know how else to explain why I use trello instead of Wunderlist, Asana, Basecamp, Todoist, Checkvist, Things, Reminders, or any of the other dozens of apps I've tried to manage my tasks; trello just does the job better.

Pros

- Live syncing - Free - Collaboration - Great apps for all devices - Kanban - Flexible - Some cool (chrome) extensions - Keyboard shortcuts

Cons

- Doesn't really work offline (kind of does, if you experience a temporary outtage)

Todoist is a worth a try

2018-06-27

Pros

In the world of reminder and to do apps, Todoist UI stands out as clean and easy to navigate. It has generally everything you would expect from a to do app: reminders, check lists, overview and more.

Cons

Todoist premium features fall short of free competitors like Wunderlist (Microsoft Todo) or Trello.

Amazing project based to-do app that fills into my workflow at work and in personal projects.

2018-06-11

Pros

I love the scalability of Todoist and that it integrates with Trello and Toggl.

Cons

The project breakdown and task divisions in the Today view of the app are hard to manage when you have a lot of tasks. In order to organize this it takes quite a while to manage these tasks sufficiently and thus the view has lesser value in trying to focus you on related tasks and being actually productive.

I create my own planners... so I am obsessed with to-do lists.

2018-12-05

It's my go-to app when wanting to track to-do lists. I use it with other apps like IFTTT and create ways to make my life easier. This app helps me keep on top of projects, by using folders and lables. I can save wesbites that I want to visit again later. I can make an email a task. I can add comments or endless subtasks. It is more integrated into your technolgical life than Apple's own task app. I have used it for years.

Pros

-location based reminders -data on task completions -reoccuring reminders -iphone app -Chrome integration -text reminders (because you can easily miss an iphone notification) -integration with many other platforms, including Trello, Gmail, etc.

Cons

-cost for the pro/full version , which just went up

The one list app to rule them all

2018-02-13

In conjunction with a good calendar and top-level management platform (like Trello) it can really improve your workflow.

Pros

Amazingly easy to set up and get started Integrates well with your existing software Has a great feature set that actually makes managing your to-do list a lot easier The task creation flow is very streamlined and easy to use Labels + filters + priorities help you quickly organize and sort through your tasks It's on literally every single platform you can imagine The Karma point system is strangely motivating, and also provides good metrics to give you insights into how your working

Cons

There are some weird errors on Android that sometimes crash the app On Android, I can't simply click a link I have stored as a to-do -- I have to edit that item and copy/paste the link into my browser manually which is a pain The Windows 10 app needs some serious work

It's fine, but I am at a loss as to why you'd choose this over another

2019-04-15

Pros

- integrates with slack - easy to share tasks - looks okay (?)

Cons

- not that easy to use on the whole - thought it integrates with slack, the overall experience is confusing and not at all sleek - when Wunderlist, Google keep, Trello, and jira exist, I am not sure why I'd choose this software

The smart tool for making a simple list

2017-06-08

Pros

The gamification, the UI, the price point and more are all fantastic reasons to use this software. If you become a power user and start tagging and scheduling tasks its gets a bit out of control

Cons

I cant change the layout so I am struggling to justify its use for agile against a better suited competitor such as Trello. I feel Todoist is a much weaker business tool than a personal productivity tool.

My search for a lightweight task management tools has ended!

2018-03-06

Todoist helps me organize my entire life. It's the one productivity app I can't live without.

Pros

I've tried all the task management tools from JIRA to Trello to Asana and a variety of other lesser known boutique tools from the Google Play Store.

Cons

If I had to pick, it would be to improve the display of the mobile app to more a "dashboard" view like the web app.

Lightweight To Do Lists, Powerful Features, Robust Apps and Browers plugins

2016-06-22

We tried Trello. We tried Asana.

Pros

Customer Support was on it when I had questions and the user guides are really helpful Combined with CloudMagic email for android (or iOS) you can use this powerful cards feature to process emails directly into the app while waiting for something to complete. Accomodates tags, and other systems while having a powerful search functionality (which helps us find duplicate tasks)

Cons

Todoist is miles ahead of asana and trello and wunderlist in terms of ease of adoption though.

A Highly Capable Task Management System

2018-12-21

This software has been highly effective at helping me track not only personal tasks but organize business projects amongst a team that operates in a non-traditional office environment. By utilizing Todoist, we have ensured more effective tracking and increased our completion rate of tasks. It also allows for an easier sharing of information, allowing everyone to be informed.

Pros

It does take a traditional list format, as opposed to the visual card layout of Trello, but many people may find that they prefer this style.

Cons

Sometimes, depending on the OS, the interface can be funky. For example, I find the interface for iOS/mobile to be slightly harder to use when it comes to easily rearranging projects/tasks or making comments quickly. I'd also like to see better visual organization in the form of custom icons for tasks. Though the ability to change colors exists, this often isn't enough during complex use. It would also be highly useful to assign tasks to multiple people or groups, instead of one particular person.
