Workfront enables teams to work however they want, utilizing any methodology, including Agile, Waterfall, or a mix of the two. Die-hard Agile devotees can rely on Workfront to blend their chosen methodology with the convenience of an enterprise work management system.
Workfront’s Agile project management module combines the benefits of an Agile platform, while eliminating the communication barriers that often trip teams up. Workfront stands apart from competing solutions by supporting both Agile and Waterfall projects in a single product, leveraging native functionality, and at no additional cost. Most importantly, Workfront uniquely allows organizations to roll up Agile work into more traditional project plans, meeting the process needs of Agile development teams AND the data requirements of executives and business stakeholders doing milestone-based planning.
Resource management tools allow organizations to balance the workloads of individual employees or teams. Workfront’s Smart Assignments feature automatically suggests which employees would be best suited for specific tasks. Managers can quickly review what each employee has on his or her schedule before assigning any new projects.
See what each of your employees has on his or her plate before assigning new tasks. Enter the skills and the available time required to complete a certain task, and Workfront will quickly identify the individuals best suited for the assignment. In making these determinations, Workfront uses a combination of data and complex algorithms.
Projects are never static. Rather, they are living, breathing organisms that change and shift over time. Using Workfront’s project management features, groups can create task lists and assign tasks to specific individuals. Users can also view updates and issues in one, centralized place.
Using Workfront’s inline editing features, you can edit your list of tasks and adjust due dates based on realistic timelines and expectations. These changes are handled through real-time collaboration capabilities and an easy-to-use “My Work” screen, which eliminates the need for you to waste time navigating from project to project or page to page.
Project Management & Task Updates
With Workfront, organizations can collect data and create customized views for complete visibility. Rather than spending hours compiling data, businesses are able to leverage Workfront’s reporting capabilities to keep on top of key metrics.
Select from the more than 50 out-of-the-box reports that come included with Workfront. You can customize any report using the platform’s drag-and-drop tools. You can also tailor reports with customized views and filtering based on user permissions and roles.

The reports & dashboard feature of WF gives a high level overview of all projects, task & issue’s.
Pros
Easy to customize the reporting and dashboard feature.

Nothing major comes to mind, we are happy with our purchase of Workfront and they are improving the application from input from their clients. If you see something you think needs improvement then submit a product idea and they will review and then add into production.

Workfront (AtTask) has the ability to maintain operational level of task scheduling and updating, valuable feature Timesheet for time capturing, and versatile reporting.
Pros
Project Management Features, and My Work interface are the most efficient AtTask features, as they provide project team members with insight into project progress, each other's updates.
Cons
Reporting needs more flexibility with Groupings and Dashboard exports.
I was an end user, and used it to account for my time, track my projects from start to finish, share proofs, get feedback, and communicate with internal clients.
Pros
The basic project management capabilities, the continuous innovation and adaptations we are able to implement, and how it can become whatever tool you need it to be when you set it up the right way.
Cons
I miss my old project management software's "start/stop" timer for tracking time, but apparently they are considering adding this to workfront.

While some of the bigger enterprise features and integrations may be missing, all the essentials as readily available, easily accessible, and not too difficult to setup.
Pros
Here are some of the things to like about Workfront: the ability proof web pages with live click throughs, version control, simulated browsers and devices, inline comments, a hierarchy of approvals, and progress taskbar.
Cons
Here are things that Workfront could use a little improvement: custom forms, integration to marketing platforms for deliverables on task management calendar (Hubspot specifically), more intuitive gantt charts for tracking team progress, and user views/rights that allow end-users to view and share projects without custom permissions.

Really consider your needs and the likelihood of ever using all of the advanced features that this software has. I would probably not recommend it for a small agency. There are probably simpler tools. But for medium to large size agencies, it can replace several other tools that you may be using into one.
It is easy to execute a project plan with this software.
-Project visibility across multiple groups & departments -Reporting/tracking on time delivery of deliverables & projects -More insight into workload of users on different teams
Pros
-Project visibility across multiple teams - Workfront makes it easy for different groups to work on projects together & provide updates through the system, so all your project information is gathered in one place.
Cons
-Resource allocation - I think that the process of bulk assigning users to project tasks is a bit clunky, but I still like the feature.

Start with the trial and get familiar with the UI. Use the more advanced features, like APIs, only after you have a good understanding of how the system works.
