Overall Homeguage is awesome, but I feel they are falling behind their newer competitors as far as web report presentation, reporting and appointment scheduling capabilities.

Pros

I love the "Smart Text" time saving functionality of Homeguage comment writing when using the HG Companion software.

Cons

I wish Homeguage would integrate their "Request List" feature for clients and Realtors into ISN's third party report delivery.

Looking forward to trying the new dashboard. monthly price is right!

HG software and dashboard makes business processes more integrated.

Cons

- Desktop software has issues synchronizing report data to cloud storage - I always have to fuss with every video I edit to get the correct preview picture - I don't use the HG companion as too difficult and time consuming to navigate during an inspection

The HG support is best in class. I evaluated iAuditor with custom template for the RV industry. While iAuditor has many of the features that I would like to see in HomeGauge, I selected HG for the 'Pro's listed above.

Pros

I like the supporting features; calendar, scheduler, agreement notification and tracking, report cloud services.

Cons

Just like the windows version I would like to be able to take full resolution photos and video and then have the app do resizing of the photo in the report. * I would like to be able to add logic to templates, for example how many Air Conditioners (AC) are present and then add that # of AC sections based on the answer.

Pros

The company offers many related marketing and management services.

Cons

If I had to say anything it may be that I do not think I can view Realtor dashboard. But it doesn't matter and chances are I actually can I just have not spent time pursuing.

Pros

There is a lot of customization to reports. Customer service is very responsive.

Cons

After having a bunch of different problems, I contacted customer service and they told me basically that it was written for Android and that the iOS version was written by a third party and was not maintained/updated.

We use their other add-on services such as website design- just a great overall package and I feel its our secret weapon when I hear other inspectors complaining about their various programs they have to tie together.

Pros

Report writing, scheduling, invoicing and payment processing, online report delivery...

Cons

It took a few months to get really good at the software, but now that we know how to use it, we are very quick and efficient.

The web services are an additional cost, but you are absolutely missing our and even causing yourself massive headaches if you aren't integrating the web portal.

Pros

The ability to create a system that integrates everything from scheduling appointments, to the final product being presented to a client all on a web based portal. It makes communicating with the customer seamless and allows the to create repair lists off the report I have created.

Cons

Learning the actual reporting software took quite a bit of time.

I'm able to efficiently draft reports which frees time to schedule more inspections.

Pros

Technical support, though rarely necessary, is excellent. Scheduling, notification emails, report delivery, user interface all top notch and simple to implement.

Cons

I would recommend increasing the number of reports allowed into the cloud from 5 to 10.

There is a lot of functionality that I haven't gotten into yet but plan to over time, especially managing appts.

Pros

I like the picture management and ability to annotate.

Cons

The way some legacy features are handled were/are confusing to me. Support has helped me sort it out. It helps to have some tech background or someone to help you with web type issues. I would not recommend it to old-school lone rangers unless they are patient and willing to take the time to watch alot of you tube videos and read FAQs etc.

We have Many copies of this software and were hardcore supporters for many years, The delay in updates forced us to go in a different direction and while we paid for services for many years that we really did not use as part of our profile when we cancelled services we were cut off from our stored reports. and as there is not a good backup system, these are not available to us

Pros

Fairly easy to use with a minor learning curve. has the ability to use a mobile version that speeds up the process.

Cons

The ties to third parties are a bit concerning.
