From 2017 to late 2019 we were very happy with them. They were bought by RealPage in 2019. My guess is this has something to do with the issues we are facing now.
Mostly user friendly and easy to use when the bank integration worked.
No longer lets us reconcile with the bank link. States specifically this is a feature of their software but we are told by Buildium that we will have to manually reconcile. This was a PRIMARY reason we chose Buildium. The answers we get as to why are inconsistent from each person we speak with. Now we are being told that our subscription price is being raised. Would be nice if they were accountable for their issues but it's a constant passing of the blame.
With auto-reconciliation, we rely on compatibility with the banks and their login requirements. Recently, an issue has been identified with banks that have multi-factor authentication as part of their log-in process; this includes receiving a code via text or an authentication app. I hope this provides more background for you around this functionality.

Buildium Onboarding was streamlined and simple. They even sped up their process to align with our targets, and it was great! Buildium's Resident Portal is top notch. It looks better than the competition and is extremely user friendly. Buildium's Reporting is fantastic with easy to generate and easy to use reports.
Buildium is moving in a different direction since being acquired by Realpage. You now have to pay more for adequate customer support (Their ticketing system is very slow, expect 24-48 hour minimum response times), and are putting most new features behind pay walls with insane costs. Buildium has no prospect or lead management system at all. Buildium clearly has no intentions to follow the desires of their users. They have a recommendations page where users are allowed to go and post ideas and recommendations. Highly voted and requested recommendations have been sitting there for years. Buildium seems to have ignored this tool.
