Pros

The software makes it fairly easy to set up new menu items and categories. I love the useful reports that you can make, like find top 100 customers; which beer we sold the most on any one night.
It is far more affordable than most POS software/hardware options, is reliable, and has great customer service.
Support team is really amazing, quick and responsive. They also gave us a great rate to be our payment processor.

Pros

The thing I like most is that it does integrate across most restaurant functions - it covers loyalty, POS, has build-ins for inventory, etc. And the POS terminals are great.
They are just so easy to learn and use. So much so that I dare say it will still help you save money even if you are replacing an old, paid-off system that did get the job done (kind of).
The layout is nice and organized. The customer service is amazing as well.

Cons

There are bugs, glitches and programming errors that are repeatedly dismissed and pushed aside. It seems that internal priorities seemed to have shifted toward investor demands.
It’s hard to move order and restart. Sometimes we have problem with clocking in and it causes inconveniences.
If our internet went down it was very inconvenient for customers.

Cons

Then they can only “escalate” which means it gets routed to another idiot in India who calls you back in a couple of days to tell you to reboot the system.
I am frustrated with this software more often that I am not. It has taken about a year for me to figure out all the workarounds to get the information I need.
The only problem is with so many other options out there on the market Aloha has failed to lower their prices to be more competitive.
