Was good, now it sucks!
Once it’s set up it’s ok. But can’t link 2 locations! So if I have a special I have to key it into 2 locations. Lame
You changed the way we I look at reports,,,, I can’t find anything anymore! I hate it! It was simple before. Now I can’t even read reports with my phone anymore!

The servers find very easy to use. But my cash has been down almost 25%over two months now. Cannot figure out why

With COVID-19 this made our ordering and pick up lines easier to manage. The system also helps charging for the extras, since it’s on the order they get charged where before even if they wrote it down they wouldn’t add it on the bill.
This purchase came at a perfect time. We have two walk up windows that now serve as ordering & pickup. We used to hand write our orders and give them to the kitchen, now everything goes thru the system and easier to read and get orders as the customers want. I was able to set it up myself which shows how easy it is to understand even for a person new to using a computer system.
There should be a way to turn off the promised for time on the online ordering. We’ve tried to explain to our customers that in our situation it’s hard to keep track of time to make an order that was put in an hour ahead of time especially if it’s a big order.

I would like to be able to run reports for a full year. Right now you can only do 3 months at a time.

Cake has made starting my small restaurant of 1 employee, my husband and myself easy to maintain. We do not have to worry about reading handwriting, lost tickets, and so many other things that can go wrong with human errors. The main reason I chose the Cake system is because of the built in online ordering system. I do not have to pay a 3rd party for this feature, it has been flawless and a very important part of our business. The record keeping and report system saves so much time, the system sends reports to my accountant daily and monthly I just set it up and forget it. Time sheets, sales tax reports, so much more I could write a book. Overall the Cake system has been wonderful for us we just hit our one year make of opening this restaurant and we keep growing.
The POS register is easy to use my husband is not in the 21st century when is comes to technology, he is the only person that runs the register and inputs orders.
Nothing I can think of right now, there are a couple little features I would like but they are more for convenience for my restaurant.

We have been using the CAKE POS system for a year now and everything is functioning smoothly as designed.
Ease of setup, ease of use, ease of maintenance, top notch support, and account manager that actually takes interest in our needs.
I have no cons with using CAKE, everything is working as it should.

The worst

No customer support, has Glitches all the time, right now I have been on hold for 49 minutes trying to get in touch with anyone in support.

It is so easy to navigate through and I can easily teach just anyone how to use it even the dumbest blond you know!!
I really can't think of any cons at this very moment it use to be time sheets but there was an upgrade that fixed that so now I love that!!

better control of food and labor cost. able to quickly analyze performance of servers and menu items. cheaper credit terms and I had previously
user friendly, outstanding customer service. saves money from missed charges tremendous control of monitoring sales avenues and cost control, great having payroll and credit systems all in same unit
being dependent on system for everything. Restaurant can't function without it now. It does require some employee training but it is more user friendly than any other systems we've used in the past

When we can pull a report to tell us the last time a "Tuna Sandwich" sold, that explains why the container as aged out....reports like this help us make menu decisions based on numbers and not just we thinks.
The overall CAKE experience has been great from day 1 of asking questions to now 2+ years in business and using it daily. "Patience and care" that we knew what we were getting and the knowledge to work it was the deciding factor for our choosing CAKE.
I miss some of the features from the reports prior to the most recent updates but I like a lot, like the date range being as long or short a time frame as I want, of the new reports. I like the original "Employee Clock-Out Report". I still use it because the new "Payroll" report prints to lightly and is too busy with un-needed columns for my payroll purposes.

Overall I am very happy with the Cake POS and would recommend it to other restaurants.
I like how easy Cake POS is to use and learn its functions for managers, bartenders and servers. We have 4 registers and are high volume and we rarely have problems.
Sometimes it's hard to get support on the phone when something does go wrong. Also, would like to have had help in setting up the system initially, however, I think now you may get installation provided.

One of the customer rep. was so helpful. And if it wasn't for him we would have changed companies. We were so glad that he could help and he was so willing to make everything work. We loved the system, but everyone who came didn't help out like he did. And now it's perfect

At first I liked. then things got really bad. wife got cancer, covid hit hard and had to close for over a year. Tried to reconnect device but can't because of 3 missed payments prior to covid. Now with stimulus and ppp loan Im ready to soar and ready to make any back and forward payments and I was denied!!! Now im stuck with a POS system. When your down and struggling Im not one to burry someone.Thanks for nothing [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]!!

It is very easy to get my yearend taxes done now. When Insurance people needed to see my sales it was so much easier than when I did everything in a book!! It took me days before.
It is very easy for me to use since I am not usually very computer savvy
Nothing that I can think of. I never had a POS system before. I only had a cash register so I really love that. It is so easy to see what your employees are doing and what your sales are at any given time.

We've been using cake POS system for a couple years now and I've been very happy with it. Wish that we had the income to bring in the pads because that would have made things so much easier.
Customer support, and ease-of-use. I love the fact that customer service helped us quickly and efficiently.
Would like it if the payroll would have a marker showing paid and not paid.

I could update the system and track data from the comfort of my own home. Reports were thorough and comprehensive. The system was very user friendly.
I really didn't have complaints. Our property is now being leased by an authentic Mexican restaurant and grocery store. I think the POS would have had more appeal if there had been a Spanish translation available; as it was, the [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] opted to use a different system.

Overall, our experience has been great. Before switching to CAKE we were using Square, which worked well when we were just a small cafe, but now that we've gown into a full service restaurant it's made a huge difference having a system built specifically for the industry.
The POS is very intuitive - very little training is needed before staff have it figured out. It's also very customizable so we've been able to get tickets and receipts to print exactly how we want them to.
Editing the menu is pretty arduous. There are a lot of steps involved in changing just one item and there still seem to be a few bugs to sort out. The reports are also more limited than we would like and present the data as lists of numbers rather than charts, which would be easier to digest.

Totally changed my business. Now we track what items are selling best, peak times for employee scheduling and I don't have to go back to my deli to make sure the register has been closed for the evening. I get an email as soon as that is done!
Ease of use. Easy to train employees on, easy to make menu changes. Easy to keep track of sales and clock in/clock out for employees.

We chose CAKE because it was affordable and very user-friendly and highly recommended by our Sysco Agent. We are a small coffee Shop and our staff has been quick to learn how to use it they seem to have an easy time. We are using it for our time sheets, it's good for basic reporting, We are not using the tablet yet but I know another place that uses it and they seem to be happy with it. For the price point I think CAKE is a good system to have.
Would like that the system had a way to customize reports (Like the fonts or the way they appear) but overall good for the price. When setting up menu items the features sometimes take a long time to set up. We have been happy with cake. Now finally we are able to manage time sheets from anywhere.

We realized after only 2 days use, extra's the customer's were ordering were being pay for and accounted for. With our old system of using pen and paper, these sales were not being recorded which was profit loss. Now having to be put in system, we are seeing a bigger profit on the extra's.
So Easy to learn and use. Cake POS keeps up with all my daily figures I need the most. Alot less paperwork on my part.
Nothing really....learning to use reports took the most time....

This is my first POS system. I think its expensive but I think the system has help me recover at least part of the cost and now I know a lot more about my restaurant. The tech support team is very good. I have had the system for about 4 months now and I am still learning. I know the software people are in this to make money but for small companies you can't afford the add ons because the cost is too high. They don't explain about the add on pricing up front. I thought time tracking, scheduling and inventory would be standard. Overall I do like the system but I will know what ask and look for when my contract is up.
- Easy to use - Easy to change the menu - Online ordering is available - Keeps track of items left if I put in the quantity left - Tracks all kinds of things such as discounts, comps, etc. - System was fairly easy to set up - Tech support is very good
- Online ordering will not let you track the number of items left. If I put on the POS I have 3 special left that won't reflect to my online ordering so I have to manually turn it off. This has been my biggest beef because I have limited items on some things and I can't sell them online because the system can't track how many are left. - Credit Card money is slow to go in, we have not tried paying...

Absolutely terrible, In the last few months our deposits did not even show up till days later and they called it a glitch and now our next day deposits are showing up the next day after 4pm when the bank has already closed so actually it's not next day funding but they are charging for it!
It was easy to use and in the beginning but all down hill from there

I do not own any establishment that uses this software. I am a junior in college who had to design a restaurant and pick a POS to use for our establishment. Epos now is what I chose, and to test out the system, I went to a local restaurant that uses it and they allowed me to test out some of the functionality.
The system has a great table planning function that allows you to split and merge bills easily as well as see which tables are closed/open and which generate the most revenue. The system is very easy to use and is super user friendly. Customizable dashboards were a big plus as well. The system keeps track of ingredients and sends alerts to owners/managers when items are running low. Accounting and payroll are calculated as well. A lot of the functions make the life of the managers much easier and the system does a great job of keeping everything organized.

Horrible customer service. They do not answer the phone for technical support, but when I called to buy as a new customer, they answered the phone immediately.

We mostly like the look of the pos screen and ease of use of the pos. We also like that it has a time clock feature.
I don't like that everything costs extra. I think you should be able to do bulk transfers without paying extra for it. I'd also like to see a loyalty program as part of the system.

Wish I did not chance POS providers
Pretty easy time set up and get working, good apps to make experie tailored
But every update creates a new problem. System start off decent speed but it does not last. When you call and after waiting an hour on hold they 'trouble shoot' for 95min before they say sorry buisness hours are closed where you are. You need to call back tomorrow and wait for another person.

Unfortunately EPOSnow is not at all suitable for medium to large retail businesses. There are many basic functions it is not capable of doing and those that it is capable of doing mostly require you to download and pay for additional apps. We where not able to do something as basic as print off a customer invoice on A4. It does not recognise duplicate barcodes. The eftpos system that was sold with the product does not work through our store due to its inability to accept the "basic card". Salesman's knowledge of the product was very limited, they are the experts and I feel it should have been up to them to ensure this product meet all of my business model requirements. Very disappointed and have now returned to the old POS system

Spend the money and buy Quickbooks POS or something specific to your industry
Liked the screen layouts and way system 'held' custom orders. Liked the customer support team even though None of our requests were met or resolved
The way the system incorporated Taxes was horrific. System was a hybrid restaurant / retail solution but not specific to either. If you are a British business this may work I don't know, but for a US retailer this system is a problem. And no attempt to fix by the software writers. I would Not recommend this product.

Overall i rate this the best fair priced POS system available with good support.
- Great front office (terminal) - Own backoffice module, so you can review sales, edit settings etc, manage inventory - Smooth for full touchscreen devices. Software only or full hardware bundle available - Connected to your system from everywhere. Even on your smartphone. - Easy handeling of functions, they also have a guide me assistant to get started if you are a novice. - Apps store to expand your system by your own needs
- Have to enter items manually. They do have a import module you can buy as a subscription. Can get expensive if you add all those subs in total. this should have been included in the system, at least a simple import feature. - The app store needs to be open to third party developers

Would recommend that if your looking for a POS system you look at this software
Both front end and back end of this software works well, ease of use and the ability to customize is what I like most
customer service is lacking and that is not good in my book I had to call and e-mail many times and never felt that I received the correct support
