Poor Customer Support and Upgrades

They say they are all about customer service and this could not be further from the truth especially with upper levels of management. The engineering and customer service communications is horrible.

Easy to use for the most part.

Cons

Guest checks are very difficult to read along with credit card slips for the customers.

Easy to set-up, durable hardware, good support

Easy to manage web interface (don't have to be at the POS) to set-up/change items Durable hardware, no issues with 2 years of use Tech/Customer support is quick and friendly

Cons

Can't hold a credit card by swiping it and returning it to a customer(keep a tab open) Reports can only be performed in 3 month/90 day increments

Customer Service staff is friendly, but, they do not follow up, they like to debate, management is horrible - Again full of promises - No follow up - Please look elsewhere for your POS needs.

Easy to add or remove items from the server screens.

Cons

Do not ever give them your credit card number as they will use it without warning and take money out of your account.

It save your cc processing money the system is smooth and easy to use.

Pros

We switched to CAKE because it does cheaper credit card processing, and on top of that it's a lot better as a system to calculate our numbers, and we can even use it to keep track of inventory.

Cons

For our customers that have an tax exempt card. You can still turn the tax of very simply.

We are able to offer a great online service to our customers as well as a simple 5 minute training process for new employees who pick it up instantly!

Pros

I also love the fact we can control our menus on our end for fast easy up-to-date POS and our online menu!

Switching to CAKE has made a huge difference for our cafe

The lower percentage on CAKE payment processing probably saves us thousands a month just in credit card payments alone.

Cons

When doing monthly bookkeeping you cannot export a sales report broken down for each day, only one day or a selection of days lumped together into one sales totals, so I have to copy each days sales individually into my bookkeeping software, seems like it would be an easy fix for them but no one has listened to my suggestion to make the change.

I also didn't want to buy my own POS system so I could get updates from the software holder instead of getting stuck with outdated software.

Cons

I want to able to edit employee incorrect login times since I am always getting a text from an employee to help them fix it and be able to make discount changes remotely as well.

Staff can retain all information when trained, easy step by step instructions!

Cons

Often times we have customers wanting to split an appetizer between 2 or 3 checks, no easy way to do so without throwing off inventory or discounts etc.

We end up doing a discount to offset the gift card amount, but an actual button for gift cards if you make them yourself would be much easier.

Its an attractive piece of hardware that fits in seamlessly with the rest of our aesthetic, and because of the customers ability to interact on the other side of the screen, its been a great benefit for our employees as tips went up substantially.

Quick Customer service because of the easiness of the POS system

Pros

Making menu adjustments with in seconds makes it a wonderful device and being able to get reports for payroll and for a cost.

Cons

Nothing really. Maybe just keyboard, sometimes it won't register to the touch but it might be because of the daily use.

I have been looking for 1 1/2 years looked at so many.Was told many did everything we wanted to find out they didn't.My sales man was great told the truth and got answers when he wasn't sure and should us how.My staff has loved how easy it is to learn and use it.

Gift card program doesn't have tip line or ability to do tip.

We switched to CAKE because we were launching a bigger location and with an expanded menu, this was the better option for us.

Cons

I also wish we could find receipts by card holders last name, it would be easier to go back if we need to find a receipt for different purposes.
