The more I get into it the more I like it. It is multifaceted without being over complicated. For the most part, it is very intuitive and I can usually go to the help area and find instructions or a video to answer my questions. If you are looking for a user-friendly POS make sure to include Lightspeed in your research.
Intuitive program. Versatile without being complex. Good inventory management system.
You can have up to 5 users but only one POS at a time can be operated unless you pay $ more for an additional POS license.

Would strongly recommend this POS brand.
Great service, great product. We switched over to this as our POS system and we are very happy with the change.
Would like the ability to manipulate reports more. However, still great options in terms of different reporting and metrics.

Support varies from 5 minutes to 5 hours, rarely on the 5-minute side. Don't expect instant assistance when you have a customer standing in front of you and tech support is required for a POS problem - not going to happen. Be aware that their sales staff will promise anything, but they are scarce when you have a real problem. I was promised an online solution for my gallery, it wasn't delivered....

It is our transaction POS system.
We like that Lightspeed is cloud based. We also like that it integrates with lots of other applications (scheduling, ecomm, etc). Also Lightspeed is awesome at inventory management.
Reporting. Lightspeed Reporting is incomplete and very buggy. Yet it is over 4 years old. As a company they are expending very little resources on making reporting work better. Their answer is to try to sell you Lightspeed Analytics. An OEM version of Looker. Yet Lightspeed Analytics appears to have not been updated in over a year. It is also incomplete and buggy. Lightspeed management team, you would never accept that quality from your CRM vendor (Salesforce?). So why do you expect your customers to put up with incomplete and buggy reporting?

Worst experience ever with any POS company.
I didn't get to use this product at all so I don't have any pros.
The agents have no idea what they're talking about. I asked my agent multiple times if this system would work for the loyalty program we have implemented in store and I was told yes every time. So I bought into the system, spend hundreds. They refused to refund me even though it was their fault I bought into a system that would not work for me. Then they told me not to worry about sending back the terminal, because it was a free part of their promotion and now they're trying to tell me I have to pay in full for the terminal. AVOID!

iPad POS is quick and easy and full featured.
Label printer gets a bit wonky sometimes. Would like to maintain credit card numbers and emails.

It is easy to modify the menu on the fly from your smart phone. Reports are top notch and easy to understand. User management is easy and efficient.

I am extremely upset that Lightspeed contacted me after they purchased Shopkeep to encourage me to move to Lightspeed and left me with a non-usable inventory system. The data transition has been an absolute nightmare rendering my point of sale system unable to produce accurate reports or even give a correct value of my inventory. Absolutely unacceptable that an inventory system cannot give you a correct inventory number.
The integration of their POS and e-commerce is awesome.
Transition of data from Shopkeep to Lightspeed (at Lightspeed’s suggestion) was an absolute HORROR.

LightSpeed POS is wonderful ecommerce software that connects your retail and website easily to manage inventory, customers info, orders, shipping info, sales reports etc. LightSpeed for iPhone made everything handy. Even today I heard that it introduced POS for restaurants, coffee shops and bars. How business friendly POS Software it is. I appreciate it.
It fetches data between systems more easily. The LightSpeed-QuickBooks Integration is what i like most. It helped in business accounting automation really very easy.

We are a small retail store with three locations that does mostly local sales and some online sales. We manufacture some of our own products as well as re-sell other products. We also do a lot of large custom orders. We explained in detail to our sales person what kind of business we were and what our needs were for the system, including the type of work orders/invoices we needed to be able to format...

- Very complicated to customize any forms or reports for your business or not able to customize at all - Lack of customer support - Sales person overpromised on what system was capable of regarding our small business needs that were explained beforehand

Lightspeed is my first POS system I have used while working retail and I love it. I was able to catch on very fast and it has been so easy to use. It made my transition from a food service POS to a clothing retail POS easy and stress-free.

Quality build, beautiful, easy-to-use intuitive interface. The system runs fast and is professionally programmed. There are super robust product setup options, customer loyalty and discount options, and more. You can browse items via product images, which is way cool! The reports are clear and concise. Customer support does exist, and they pickup the phone.
Nothing right now. This is the best POS solution for the Mac platform.

Truly the best POS out there, they just get it.
As a nonprofit it's mandatory we are in compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principles. We have complex inventory logistics with different locations which made finding a good solution, difficult at the very least. Truthfully, if Lightspeed didn't work we would have moved to a mainframe system. What's difficult about the POS systems is that you don't realize everything you need until you've...
I wish we could have found them earlier, better marketing online would have saved us so much time, money and resources from getting drawn in from other POS systems that continued to come up short.

works pretty well for my needs in the retail environment. The POS and back if the house co operation are pretty handy to have. I can see what the status of the inventory is and order directly from the software and check in the inventory when it arrives to the retail store location.
Some things are not as easy to do as you would hope, and not always easy to change or track changes.

Korona is much faster than the old pos we were using (Lightspeed). We are no longer delaying the transaction time because we don't have to wait for software to catch up to us

My boss hasn't set up the stores as different locations so we can't see the sales by location, only as a whole.

Overall a great product for retail POS system. Integrates with my credit card machine so cuts down on the potential for human error. End of Day reporting is excellent. Employee time clock is great as well.
Value for the money is excellent and the customer service is the best I have experienced.
No ID scanning and no "Legal Birthdate" that shows on the POS screen.
