Great product...and it just keeps getting better.
Our invoices are more detailed (and accurate).  
Our employees and shop manager can see the amount of time they have logged into a particular activity within a job (they couldn't do this before).  
The ease of communication (and the tracking of those conversations) with our customers is also very nice.
Love the quick response time from Shopmonkey staff and their willingness to listen to suggestions.

Excellent Software

There are so many PROS to using shop monkey, the biggest overall factor when it comes to using any system is Organization and Shopmonkey is just that, by far the most organized and user friendly system ive every used. Shopmonkey has integrations for all taxes and records which make things even easier. One very excellent system. Along with a well built system would be the customer support behind their product If any problems arise i have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for the team to help me through it every step of the way. Shopmonkey has turned our shop into a proficient machine and i do not see any other way to do it. I will recommend shop monkey to any business owner or manager!

It was great to start out with, but for the price and the features usable its not work it. Shop-ware is way better built out for just a little bit more. No feature talks with the entire software so you find yourself repeating the same thing on multiple pages to keep information the same across the platform.

All of your customer and shop data is exportable, and if you have an active subscription, we're happy to help with this as needed. We have also taken large steps to provide a more efficient workflow, fewer clicks to complete operations, and we've put a strong focus on improving the tech and admin views. We've recently released Shopmonkey for Techs mobile app that's designed for the day-to-day technician operations with a to-do list to track progress on the job. 
We actually do have a number of employees that either own or ran a shop, and we make customer visits a priority to ensure our roadmap is inline with your operational needs.

We've taken every piece of your feedback to heart and have addressed with our product team. We're sad to see you go, but we wish you nothing but the best!

I interviewed them and all their competitors thoroughly.  The Shopmonkey sales and support are top tier and I was more demanding in my questions from my prior background as a CIO over data warehouses, analytical software, and data model designs.  The SM team put my fears at ease and I was confident they had been through enough years of development to have the bugs out, but were clearly in the modern age of cloud data management and are eager to keep improving.  Their other competitors were either milking an outdated system or running with errors on a newer platform.

The logic to integrate with Quickbooks is flawed for Canadian use. There is no way to process warranties that shows a zero dollar amount for the customer without applying a discount.

Software is very straightforward, fast and easy to build invoices, and add parts to inventory. The ability to text message clients is an absolute game changer and everyone of my clients loves it.

The ability to integrate with Quickbooks and keep redundancies to a minimum.

This format is confusing and hard to read. The font for the final dollar amount is so small it seems slightly deceptive.

The database of vehicles and parts list from the dealers is comprehensive and my go to guide for parts pricing. I am able to customize my software to best fit my company's needs.

The folks in accounting at Mitchell1 can't even figure out how to run a credit card without calling our shop and being very rude and unprofessional.

Customer tracking was great, recommended work/revisions are easy to track.

Mitchell has been there for me every step of the way and I have been able to build and maintain a solid database of loyal customers.

User friendly, quality features, and friendly customer service when needed. We also use the bolt on package along with it.

Now they call me every few days from an attorneys office threatening to sue for the full 3 year contract. I never should have agreed to sign up with the salesmen but I did to give it a try.

Good part finder and labor times, good to have the recall info on the main screen.

Fairly easy to use and navigate, diagnostics is pretty good. Middle ground between alldata and identifix.

We went away from this product to a cloud based product so that we could be more mobile. That  was the missing element.

I love the integration with Snap On diagnostics software, color coded wiring diagrams and factory information.

Mitchelle manager the best choice for the middle ground.

The product over all was easy to use and met our needs. It was easy to train employees on it and it upgraded the way we worked on the computers.

Office manager 

It could be hard to navigate and stay organized, much harder to navigate. Even now we have access to the history, but you can't look up by customer name.

Nowhere to put photos, or hide labor/parts cost to show quotes.

The software platform is always evolving and updating with new features. Best feature of all: Integration with the digital inspection platform Bolt On Technology.
