Review for SMRT System - Clothesline Cleaners - Boise Idaho

My overall experience with the new system has been good. I am still learning new information everyday. I need to come into the new way that this system does the information and so far it has been a challenge but not a bad experience.

Pros

What I liked most about this software is the easy of finding what I am looking for. Example - When looking at a customer file all the information is located right on the screen. I am still learning how to use this information as a bookkeeper. I also like that all the reports are in one location. I am also just learning how to use the reports for bookkeeping.

Cons

I can not at this time answer this question. I have only been using it less than 1 month. I am still learning all the new ways to get information for bookkeeping.

Pros

The migration to SMRT was validated and praised by both our multi-generation of employees and customers. The ease of learning, navigating, and customer interaction has elevated our service and won the confidence and respect from all. Reporting and data analysis continues to become even more sophisticated. Unlike many services where support diminishes after the honeymoon stage, the SMRT support team continues to be very responsive with great attitudes long after conversion . The Pick up and Delivery segment has allowed us to manage our clients efficiently and customize to their needs from scheduling, detailing, tracking, and modifying. Yes, we made a SMRT choice!

Cons

Marketing for customer reviews. Wished we knew this was slated to be released. We signed on with our marketing firm a year contract to solicit for reviews.

So happy we went with SMRT

Our previous Compassmax software was not adequately addressing our needs and we are overall quite happy with how well we have been able to improve the management of our business with a system that is easier to use .

Pros

SMRT has dramatically improved the management and efficiency of our business. We have specific needs catering to hotels for uniforms, staff clothing and guest clothing and we needed to streamline and better integrate our accounting and delivery processes. SMRT has enabled us to do this and helped us improve the quality and speed of our business where we need quick turnaround times. We also found that the software works seamlessly with our Metalprogetti conveyors.

Cons

Not a lot to complain about. We would like one or two minor accounting features added but those would be specific to our particular type of business.

SMRT really is SMRT!

Since installation it has been a very positive experience. The customer service staff is fantastic and they answer your requests thoroughly and quickly. We just finished our first year and I was so excited to see our monthly sales comparisons now that we have a year of data. Then covid hit - now its hard to look but nothing lasts forever.

Pros

There are so many amazing features but what I love most is they will create whatever you need (within reason of course)

Cons

I wish there was a subscription feature but they have told me they are working on it. I do wish I could remove a credit that was misapplied.

SMRT

We have had nothing but a great experience with SMRT, from the hardware & staff. Support is very quick to respond. My prior system support was not as responsive and created frustration when we needed an issue/question addressed.

Pros

Software is extremely user friendly. Staff learned the system within 1 day. The system assists daily routines and has saved us time throughout the day. I like the fact that I can connect remotely and see what the next day is going to look like workload wise. The customer communication features are fantastic. Customers have enjoyed and found the feature extremely useful.

Cons

I am happy overall with the reporting function, but would like to see some of the reporting capabilities in planning move into production sooner. The reports I do have allow me to manage my business effectively, other reports would expand on that ability.

7th Avenue Cleaners

Ross was great getting us trained. We had a major issue with the credit cards not transferring over. Caused a lot of stress and took away from the ease of the transition. I think rewording some of the questions prior to going live, would ease some confusion we had regarding our delivery service. (master delivery location) We have been using SMRT for almost two months now, and support has been great. Hopefully that continues.

Pros

The ease of delivery. It is web based and not app based. Feel like more customer are inclined to log in through a link versus having to download an app. Barcoding system.

Cons

When something needs to be post spotted and you have already assembled, it splits the entire order. Can't just take the item of that assembly number and leave the rest of the pieces there. Some of the reports are a little difficult, but support has been great when we have questions. When making a quick for a customer under the "other" option, we do not get two copies. We have to reprint one. It prints two under the "laundered shirt or household." Thought an update would have happened by now.

Pros

It’s very user friendly and has everything we need to make our business run smoothly.

Cons

Every time there is something I don’t like or understand, the support team answers right away and helps me find a solution so there isn’t anything I don’t like.

We find that the program is amazing in our day to day operations. Time saving. Overall extremely happy.

Pros

I especially like the ease of the barcoding system. It is easy to prove to clients when a garment was here. The assembling with barcodes takes out employee errors and reduces them to almost non existent. Routes are simplified. Easy to use, everything with one software.

Cons

Cannot mass email. Cannot change automated texts that are sent as reminders to clients.

Best software for Dry Cleaning Industry.

Before implementing SMRT, I hated coming into the plant seeing lots of finished products not assembled, items were double assembled from different satellite. Now my employees and I love the SMRT software. So far we cannot live without it. SMRT makes it simple handling multiple stores and route accounts simple.

Pros

SMRT POS software is easy to use and dummy proof. I started off using SPOT, then went to Starch up. By far hands down SMRT is the best software out there. Their demo process was detailed. They custom made my inputs and migrated all my customers data over. Any issues that arose, was probably one or two at the max. It was resolved in 10-15 minutes. I should have implemented SMRT from day one.

Cons

I have no complaints. It is a well designed and put together software which was tailored for the dry cleaning industry.

Pros

The transistion was very smooth and the support team is extremely responsvie to each of my requests. I feel comfortable working with the SMRT team and am very glad to have made the switch to this software.

Cons

Minor changes to help lower detailing time would be helpful.

SMRT computer systems

Very appreciative that [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] moved us to the front of the line for installation and training on a Monday morning when we had a terminal server crash on the previous Friday. Then, he placed us with the best trainer ever, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN].

Pros

Each station is stand alone and not dependent on a server network. All data is close at hand and easy to access in seconds or with a click or two.

Cons

Employee access should be asked more often at the stations. If the person who opens a station does not sign out then others can easily use that station all day under someone else’s ID. Many simple reports I had available from DCCS are nowhere to be found in SMRT. You could do better on canned reports for dry cleaners.

Great POS!

This provides a POS solution which we have found to be a very good one and one that we like.

Pros

Having moved from a POS after 20 years that had fell behind along the way, we have found the features in SMRT to be super refreshing. Access to data & reports is so easy and the custom KPI feature is really, really helpful.

Cons

The marketing (texting) features could be much more robust. Some CRM features would be nice as well so that you could track sales leads and so forth.

If you have a route SWTICH TO SMRT NOW

Words cannot describe how SMRT has made my life so much better. Not my work, MY LIFE.

Pros

The switch to SMRT has made my life so much easier as a Route Manager.

Cons

Sometimes, there support team gets back to me in 20 minutes instead of 5 minutes. Serisouly, they are quick to jump on an issue and resolve the problem.

It's easy of use on a daily basis. Implementation of the system is handled with top technical precision. constant innovation of system.

Cons

System need full offline mode so it would work without internet connection for those troubling internet outages.

Pros

SMRT is easy to use, employee and customer friendly, and has made our ability to assure the accurate completion of every customer order a breeze.

Cons

Integration took just a couple days. There isn't much we don't like.

Route efficiency has significantly improved since we switched to SMRT. I have found the support to be very good or excellent and the SMRT team in very caring.

Pros

Client communications and interactive nature of the system.

Cons

If client pays for an order prior to pick up, I find it difficult to determine what the customer owes.

Transition from SPOT to SMRT was smooth. Support is very timely in responding to issues. I couldn’t ask for a better software partner for my business.

Pros

Super easy to use, lots of valuable features, very good support, route app is great, customer communication platform is the best!

Cons

No software is perfect, including SMRT, but I really can’t think of any cons. Issues that we have are addressed immediately!

Customer communications is over the top and they love it. Route system is great, track from detail to delivery. Ease of use and was a seamless conversion from compassmax . Just an overall modern platform.

Best POS for Dry Cleaners hands down

Superb, very helpful as I was in a hard spot, my old POS software was dying and I had no support for it anymore since CleanSuite had closed down.

Pros

Ease of use and ease of training. Trying my employees literally took minutes. So much easier to use than my previous software from CleanSuite. The support has been phenomenal.

Cons

I really cannot say anything bad about SMRT.

SMRT is an awesome transition!

Switching from SPOT to SMRT was difficult the first day but in the long run made everything easier.

Pros

What I like most about this software is that you can access a lot more of the clients information in an easier way. I also like how easy it is to show where a stain, rip, or tear is on the clothing item while detailing. This allows us to be more specific and successful.

Cons

My least favorite thing about this software is that a lot of things coming from our old software don’t show up the same on SMRT software.

With SMRT POS our business was able to get to the next level. We were able to expand beyond expectation.

Pros

SMRT is very user friendly and highly professional. It eliminates headaches and saves time and money. SMRT just makes our business run smooth and easy. We were SMART to get SMRT!

Cons

SMRT is a win win situation. No cons in any way whatsoever.
