Fathom helps me to record meetings both internal and external - the AI notes feature is incredible

The price for AI-generated notes and that you can't trim videos

Records my meetings, and transcribes them. No more need to take notes. I can rewatch my calls, search for keywords in transcriptions, and skip right to that part of the call. Saves a ton of time, and I can focus on the meeting and not on making sure I write things down. I can also send links to recordings to other team members, and I can create highlights to send. So easy, a must have.

Honestly I don't have any cons. The Fathom recorder joins automatically, records on its own, and it super easy to use.

I love how Fathom runs in the background and automatically records my coaching sessions. The ability to highlight, bookmark, and tag portions of our conversation in real time has been helpful. More than one client has said Fathom has been a value-add that they can get a recording of our conversation.

Some of the automatic transcription or AI-generated text is off the mark. For the times I need to submit something formally, I will need to manually correct it (which I can do).

It is easy to implement, I can go back and see previous calls. It is also built to interact with other applications after the fact. For instance creating meeting summaries specifically formatted for Notion

There were some initial bugs with using Google Meet. But they have since implemented features to correct those problems.

You can manually highlight important moments. You can also segment the meeting for summarization. Taking notes on feedback received from the other side and relaying them to you individually. I can change the name in the meeting, and having an AI assistant taking notes of important moments for me and relaying them is great.

Honestly, I did not experience any feature or deficiency that I would complain about. Quickly transcribing the meeting without hanging up or making hallucinative errors, I summarize it by segmenting it for you. I can also provide the transcript file if you wish. You can store the video and download it whenever you want.

I love the quick buttons and the reminders of when your call is happening. Adding highlights and text to remember why you liked that part. I love the recaps the AI makes and the new AI features.

I would love to customize the colours but I know that's sort of silly. As long as it works well, who cares what colours it is.

I love the way that Fathom cuts straight to the point of the meeting. Determining key takaways, action items, next steps etc. I have been blow away with how well it can decifer someone talking in circles and get to the point of what they actually need. I love having the recap immediatly after the meeting that I can skim through to make sure that I didn't miss anything that needs to get added to my project board. I also love how easy the desktop tool was to install and use. I can start my Teams meetings directly from the Fathom app and the AI notetaker joins my meetings automatically. I have used it for every meeting I've had since signing up!

The AI is great but not perfect, it sometimes gets words or point incorrect.

I love how Fathom offers a summary after every meeting and that I can review the meeting anytime.

None to be honest. Fathom is really great!

I'm obsessed with the key takeaways, the high-level breakdown of the meeting, the summary of who said what, and the fact that there's also a full transcript of the meeting that I can search through using keywords. I love that I can share the Fathom link with my clients and they don't have to sign up or have a Fathom account to view the content - it makes the process so frictionless. It was so easy to set up! I also love that it gives me a countdown to my next meeting + the meeting name in my menu bar. I've recommended this tool to several people and will continue to do so!

I haven't found anything that I dislike so far!

Fathom is easy to set up, and easier to use, giving you the flexibility to focus on talking and listening during meetings instead of taking notes. It also ensures you don't miss any key points, and even identifies action items to keep your team aligned and organized.

On occasion Fathom has been a little finicky to add to a meeting, and I don't like that I have to go through Fathom to get to certain meeting channels (i.e. Zoom). It's also not 100% accurate in how it transcribes data or how it attributes commentary to different people. It's not insurmountable, but it's not perfect.

What I like most about Fathom is how it revolutionizes my meeting experience. Firstly, it completely removes the burden of notetaking during calls, allowing me to focus entirely on the conversation at hand. The automatic transcription feature is incredibly accurate and provides searchable records of every meeting, which is a lifesaver when I need to refer back to specific details​

One of the main issues I encountered was the integration with Microsoft Teams. Unlike Zoom or Google Meet, where the integration is seamless and intuitive, the setup and operation with Teams felt clunky and less reliable. It often required multiple attempts to get it working properly, which disrupted the flow of my meetings.

The best thing about Fathom is that it is free while still offering a wide use integration (zoom, teams, Google Meets). It is nice that it joins all meetings and is able to have the transcript, recording, key takeaways to do for the next meeting and topics within minutes of finishing a meeting. Also having it be super easy to use during and after the meeting is a big plus. I have used it in basically all my meetings, and I am very pleased with it, and so is everyone who I shared the call with. Also downloading and installing the software is super easy and straightforward.

I don't like the website interface and would like to initiate the meetings within the website rather than the overlay. Also, I would prefer a better landing page when going on the website. The first time I went on the website I was a bit confused as to what I can do and where everything is. Admittedly, I did not watch the tour video that was prompted when I first got there, but it should be more intuitive. I would also like it to be a bit easier to remove the notetaker from a meeting or stop the notetaker. Maybe their should be different settings if you were the host or if you are joining a meeting. Especially if you are late, it is a bit awkward that the notetaker automatically joins the call and starts recording when you are not suppose to.

I am using Fathom primarily as a notetaker within client meetings. I've used 4 other products for this function, and so far, this is the winner.

Could be more accurate with names, but we have a variety of accents within our organization. This is always a weak spot for most. I'd love the ability to correct it one time and have it apply that learning to other instances.

AI notes summary. It accurately transcribes and summarizes calls. The ability to use different summary templates has been incredible for us to pull the most important information from a call.

It would be great if there was a scorecard feature that could "score" a sales person's call in order to provide coaching opportunities without having to spend a lot of time reviewing every call ourselves.

Ease to use. Integrates perfectly to my zoom meetings.

I would rather have more access to customizations and settings, You can get all of those from their support team.

It's got everything I need! It records the meetings I have, transcribes them and I can even trim the videos before I share! And that's just the free version!

Not sure if the dark theme is from my device or Fathom's. Just the interface I think I might want to change.

Never again will I have to take notes -- I can keep eye contact and stay engaged in my meetings without worrying if I've missed something. Plus, the transcription is so accurate that for text changes, I can literally copy/paste into working documents. Massive time saver!!

That it can't follow me around IRL and capture my in-person meetings! :)

AI note-taking is a must, and call recording & instant share URL and email are my favorite tools.

I'd love to categorize my meetings by folders instead of by date. The pop-up disappears passed a couple of minutes. I'd love I could make it appear with a click.

It's really "set and forget". It automatically joins my calls, and I have the option to add to ad-hoc meetings through the desktop app. The email summary is often used as a part of my follow-up workflow and I can easily copy and paste the summaries and share.

The interface for my library of recorders is not well organized, and hard to add labels, utilize folders and not have the thumbnails show up. This makes navigating a bit of a pain when I'm trying to find a specific call.

I love that I can always go back and rewatch any meetings, as well as having the transcriptions of them! I use Fathom for every single meeting, which is about 7-8 times a week so it helps me keep them all organized. It was super easy to set up my account and integrate it with my google meet account aswell! Any time I've ever had any slight technical issue, their support has been super helpful and helps fix it every single time.

The only downside I've had with Fathom is sometimes the transcripts aren't super accurate of who is talking/ what exactly they said, but it's still super super close so it's honestly not my biggest concern! That's the only "downside" I can think of, everything else is so great!

My favourite thing about Fathom is the meeting summary that is sent over after my calls. The notes that are taken and the key take aways are exactly what i need after calls with my customers and prospects. The highlight feature during calls make following up on key issues much easier.

The only downside I can think of is when integrating with salesforce, Fathom can create too many unnecessary tasks to follow up on. Although this can be deactivated in the background, eliminating the issue.

Fathom seamlessly joins all my calls, records them, and provides concise summaries along with actionable next steps. It saves me a tremendous amount of time and ensures I never miss important details. The AI's ability to capture key points and organize them effectively is a game-changer for staying on top of my tasks and follow-ups.

While Fathom is incredibly useful, there might be occasional inaccuracies in transcription or context interpretation. Additionally, relying heavily on AI-generated notes may sometimes overlook the nuances of a conversation that only a human touch can capture.

It's a brilliant tool that, with a high degree of accuracy, is able to take notes on your calls. I am particularly impressed with the 'key take-aways' which have always captured the salient points clearly and accurately. Installation is easy and you can set it up to automatically join calls or selectively join (with your permission). I now use it wherever I can as it captures far more than I can with notetaking and I can be more present in the conversation.

The main challenge is if you are using a client's conferencing system, they might reject the notetaker joining the call and therefore you don't get the benefits. Haven't worked out the best way to overcome this yet.
