QCommission Features In Depth

Split Commission for Multiple Reps

What happens when multiple sales reps work together on a deal? The complex calculations required with manual entry systems can slow down the workflow and delay payouts to reps. With QCommission, however, organizations are able to quickly and efficiently split commission payouts to two or more reps, even when distributions are not allocated equally.

Using QCommission’s tools, you can also override standard splits when the need arises. Rather than retroactively splitting income and expenses, QCommission runs its operations in real-time to decrease payout delays.

Multiple Incentives Per Plan

Consultants will often receive paid incentives for their participation in projects. With QCommission, organizations can offer financial incentives for nearly any action. Incentives can be paid out on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.

Select the incentives you plan to offer employees and then choose the frequency of payment that makes sense for your organization. You can choose to provide flat payments or rates that reflect the volume of sales or referrals brought in by the employee. Whatever plan your company designs, QCommission can handle the administration, including calculations and communications.

Varying Commissions by Products or Customers

With QCommission, organizations are able to vary the commission rates they offer based on product or customer. For example, salespeople may be encouraged to sell Product A by offering a higher commission rate, or to attract new customers by offering higher commissions on sales made to first-time buyers.

Customer-based crediting refers to instances in which customer information is used in credit rules. That way, sales to particular customers (or groups of customers) can be automatically credited to the correct payee with as little manual entry from the organization’s standpoint as possible.

Reporting Tools

Using QCommission’s technology, organizations are able to generate standard reports with the data available. The system provides a vast number of standard report options.

Some of the most popular reports include payout, financial, and transactions. Payout reports are based on the results generated from commission plan execution, while transaction reports are based on the source transactions a user has imported into the system.

It has made my job significantly easier, rendering several weeks of work down to just a couple days a month.

Pros

- The ability to use the data integration module to import bulk data templates from insurance carriers - Automated calculations of commission splits - Easy to edit splits and payees - The custom report that tracks the premium periods of commissions paid - The customer service that comes with the software

Cons

I no longer use the reports out of QCommission - I export data to Excel and create pivot tables that summarize multiple rows of transactions for a given customer and product into one number.

They produced a query to down load individual sales persons reports so the sales could monitor during the month.

Cons

Time for contact is limited because of QCommissions being in California and the site in Dallas, TX but Customer service was flexible and able to arrange time.

Our organization pays over a hundred external brokers and numerous internal representatives -commissions and bonuses. This software allowed me to consolidate over 10 spreadsheets of work into one streamlined process. It is able to handle various commission calculations based off of contract #, lives count, and/ or premium numbers. It allows me to split commissions easily and can handle the multitude of ¿exceptions to the rules¿ that I have to account for. My QC Team is always there to assist, adjust, fix, and create new configurations to make sure the software is meeting my commission calculation needs

The program allowed me to: - Gave my brokers and sales reps access to an online portal to view their statements ¿ past and present ¿ at their convenience

Cons

Opportunity for improvement: - System not available through an online program/ portal and must be accessed via Remote Desktop

From here, the calculations are exported to a spreadsheet that can be printed out for management and for the payees.

Cons

During the setup process we had a few glitches in setting up commissions. I was always able to get quick support to overcome these problems.

Setting up and importing reports for calculation is extremely easy and quick.

Cons

The Draw account is laid out very different on the pay statements from how we showed it on our previous statements. The ending balance is the same, but it is taking my team a few months to figure out how the commissions flow to their Draw balance.

Pros

We have a fairly complicated commission structure for 3 different type sales reps and it runs perfectly, month after month.

Cons

You have to rely on the programmers to make changes to the software, they are quick to react, but you are always reliant on them.

The QCommission application is highly adaptable to the needs of clients irrespective of the number of tiers and complex plans. Our accounting firm was able to assist our client via the highly skilled project managers at QComission, and were able to implement a full commission system in a short while. We no longer have to maintain dozens of excel spreadsheets, nor do we have to perform tedious calculations that often times exposed us to input errors. The Qcommission application has saved us dozens of hours of manual work, and our client is pleased with the results!!

QCommission is easy enough to use on your own but still gives you a lot of control and the ability to set up many different plans for your sales reps. Integration with QuickBooks is seamless.

Cons

The initial set up can be difficult to do on your own. Fortunately, the support staff was very helpful and worked through all of it with us.
