Pros

It has also increased accuracy and transparancy of the commissions and sales. It has a great analysis tool and reporting The customer service is awesome as well.
My experience has improved greatly now that I have a better understanding in terms of the functions that are used by my company.
It is mostly intuitive and it is a great resource for the sales team. They like having a real time view of their commissions.

Pros

The tracking capability is fantastic and is a great to for creating transparency in terms of lead management.
It will be amazing and wonderful and the very best thing, so long as you are able to make that investment. If you can't, you aren't ready for it.
I love the ability to generate customized reports, and to keep track of promotions easily. Very helpful for getting accurate information quickly.

Cons

It is confusing, Many different categories that can be difficult to see specifically what has been earned.
Insufficient dispute platform, currently not more than a mailbox.
Data never up-to-date for current month (i know this is on the data entry side more than the xactly product). Poor UI for estimating future commissions.

Cons

NetSuite Outlook Integration has been frustrating so far, working for a while then just stopping for no apparent reason.
It seems that since Oracle acquired Netsuite, they have a very rigid cost structure. We had a very disappointing initial experience because they charged us extra costs after agreement.
Setup can go wrong which leads to the entry of wrong information in the system. Sending invoices at the same time is tedious-one at a time.

It has been a hard effort to build and maintain the system. We used Express before which was preintegrated with SFDC. With Incent you have to start over. Half our plans we cannot build out in the system.

Pros

Sales comp calcs not in excel. Locks computations and controls changes. Distributes comp information online to employees

Cons

Hard to use. Hard to taylor computations to meet our comp plan designs. Hard to integrate with CRM and HRIS systems. Difficult to access and report on data in system.

Xactly is the best in the market, but the market deserves better

I originally did my company's commission in excel spreadsheets before we migrated to Xactly. Since then, there have always been errors in people's calculations. Was it worth the money and saved time? Not Really. I joined a new company and decided to replicate Xactly Express to continually stamp in SFDC. It worked well and didn't have all the diagnosis issues that Incent had.

Pros

Commission Calculations - Ability to make changes to plans, quotas, and release documents on the fly. I liked that reps were able to log in and see the breakdown of their payments and see their attainment

Cons

Cost, Implementation Time and Fee, Bugs, cannot self diagnose. Xactly Incent is supposedly the better version and upgrade from Xactly Express. In order to make it work with your organization, you will need to pay an implementation fee. Xactly then flys in trainers to configure your commission plan with their software. Ease of automating and reduction of manual calculations of commissions.

Pros

Pros: 1. Ability to automate data transfers from your ERP/CRM systems to Incent and data validations/calculations using DELTA without the use of manual uploads using the Excel Uploads. I recently moved from one company to another and my goal is to leverage the use of DELTA for this purpose. It gives you your nights back! 2. Organizational setup is pretty easy to upload and it is even more wonderful...

Cons

Cons: 1. Analytics: A non-intuitive tool for regular users and need a solid understanding of your data in order to build reports that can be used by administrators and sales representatives. 2. System works well with simpler plans with fewer variables. Complex plans with multiple components can drag the system and make it tricky. 3. Development of Plan Design configurations works well, but at times, due to the design of the tool, it does not fully translate the language of your code to the language of the rule development. You have to be creative to be able to think of other ways to accomplish.
