It has potential but frustrating at times

Pros

Has potential and is outward facing. Tight link to SFDC and can take Sales Teams away from tracking incentives on their own. Tons of functionality and value can be seen when deploying the SW.

Cons

Reporting (Analytics) is just not easy to use. Can't always pull information you need. Setting up users is rather cumbersome. Might be our set up but loading data isn't easy and when you get errors, there is not real help as to why it won't accept the record. Tracking our held commissions is a chore and need to do this outside the system. Having to recall documents you've sent out if you need to send a corrected one -- should be able to change while in process as long as not approved.

Pros

Analytics: Can be very helpful to expand upon Incentive statement short comings. However with the introduction of Balance Carry forward to accommodate prior period processing, reporting is becoming more difficult. Recommended for every customer. Edocs: is recommended if you wish to route quota via Incent Incentive Statement: Overall great. Wish drill-down details loaded faster and were more flexible on what is shown on drill down Versioning Objects: I don't know what we would do without this System of Record: Great for historical comp. Earns more value year over year for growing changing sales teams.

Cons

Old UI: Sections that have old UI/non-HTML text Estimator: Atrocious UI, limits, functionality, but I bet its on every Xactly sales demo. Honestly, how many can customers using this? Illustrator rules- See estimator, but worse. Sales Rep Landing Dashboard: Most of the pods are useless. My feedback from our sales team we have is they don't even look at it. We direct them towards our analytics dashboards....

Xactly is the best in the market, but the market deserves better

I originally did my company's commission in excel spreadsheets before we migrated to Xactly. Since then, there have always been errors in people's calculations. Was it worth the money and saved time? Not Really. I joined a new company and decided to replicate Xactly Express to continually stamp in SFDC. It worked well and didn't have all the diagnosis issues that Incent had.

Pros

Commission Calculations - Ability to make changes to plans, quotas, and release documents on the fly. I liked that reps were able to log in and see the breakdown of their payments and see their attainment

Cons

Cost, Implementation Time and Fee, Bugs, cannot self diagnose. Xactly Incent is supposedly the better version and upgrade from Xactly Express. In order to make it work with your organization, you will need to pay an implementation fee. Xactly then flys in trainers to configure your commission plan with their software. Once they leave, if anything breaks, you'll have to contact Xactly support. From...

Pros

Ease of user for the end user. Don't need IT to make all configuration changes, can create formulas, rules, plans by a business admin. Reporting Integration

Cons

Would like to be able to upload data faster, we have a couple million invoice records, take about 8 hrs to load. Professional services are expensive and some of the resources are inexperienced

Xactly - The tool which can be handy for day-to-day SPM handling and reporting.

Xactly is among the leading players in the world market for their ease in Incentive Compensation Implementation and reporting. It reduces the time and effort for both the comp administrator and the users with a very minimal but elaborative reporting features. While working with Xactly for the past few years, it has significantly improved its user experience along with the effort required to implement the plans into the system. If you are currently managing your sales incentives via the primitive methods (i.e. excel and other software), you should definitely switch too Xactly to save time and money.

Pros

1.) Intuitive Software to deal with the complex of situations 2.) Easy to maintain interface 3.) Value for money if you have a large sales force 4.) Clear insights to sales reps for their sales and payouts 5.) Ver handy mobile application saving lots of time

Cons

1.) Use of flash for some of the internal functions which are being updated in 2020 2.) Server response a bit slow

Does the job, improving interface recently but still not the easiest to navigate

Pros

Fairly easy to learn the logic for writing rules and a great software for straightforward sales plans. Xactly's implementation teams & customer service teams are generally good. Ability to route documents through the software is helpful.

Cons

A lot of the interface is fairly outdated, some has been updated recently but a ways to go still. Limited customization ability for a lot of the output files so that can be frustrating. A lot of relatively straightforward things (like pushing through a payment value) have to use workarounds based on how code works.

We do like the product. It doe have its challenges. The end users like the ability to see their progress.

Pros

There are some great features. Love the fact that the sales reps can see the loans that they have closed in real time.

Cons

Changing plans can be difficult. You really need an expert to help which always come with a price. Reporting is a challenge.

Pros

The product is constantly growing and making improvements. We love the updates and they're on the path to great things. The value is the main seller for it's price point. It's fairly easy to use and does the job.

Cons

There are a lot of little improvements that could be made that will drastically ease the administration portion of using the tool, like having the upload format be the same as the downloaded form and more calendar flexibility (ie semi annual).

Great For Organization, Speed & Cost Effectiveness

I would recommend depending on the company/organization.

Pros

One of the things that attracted us to Xactly Incent was the flexibility and nimbleness of the platform. We were able to manage customization fairly independently.

Cons

As we grew, we were limited in certain aspects such as automating certain processes. It was difficult to scale on the platform.

Generally good experience. SW is stable and working well. Only 2 issues are hourly rate for new SOW is very expensive and time to start a new SOW is very long. After scope is defined and purchase order is sent, it takes another 2 weeks before Xactly can start working on SOW.

Pros

SW Stability. So far, the SW is working according to requirements

Cons

Time to deploy new SOW and also the price for new SOW is very costly.

Outstanding service and support

I have used Xactly for several years and the thing I have come to value the most is the level of support that they provide. Nobody else can compare. I always get immediate responses or resolutions, once I log a ticket. The app itself is wonderful. Reporting is a snap and takes only moments to generate. Sales reps and managers are able to review data real time and on a mobile. it's a win-win for all.

Pros

Once implemented and running smooth, calculations, reporting and maintenance are all a breeze.

Cons

The only con i have encountered is the initial set up and building of rules. Once that's all set, there are really no issues.

Pros

The ability to streamline the monthly variable compensation process creates a lot of value. The tool provides clarity for the Sales department. It allows them to see what they are being paid on.

Cons

The tool is difficult to use and scale for our company. In order to use the tool there is a lot of jumping around from tab to tab in the product. A more linear, step-by-step, approach would be easier to use. The customer service representatives also have not been quick to respond to questions. When they do respond their replies have been short and unhelpful.

Easy to use, great functionality for a SMB company

Our company has been using Xactly Express for almost two years and have no intention of stopping. It was easy to configure and the support team is incredibly helpful. As a small company with less than 10 variations of comp plans, the Express product is a great fit for us. We saw a huge reduction in the time to took to process commissions this month and a huge reduction in disputes (sales v. finance) because our accuracy has improved so much. Our reps now have visibility and real-time reporting and don't have to rely on outdated spreadsheets to see where they stand each month.

Pros

- Easy to configure - Cost efficient - Fully integrated with Salesforce.com

Cons

- Not designed for a fast-growing organization - at some point we will outgrow and will need to go to the Incent product - Sometimes calculation times and page loads are slow (but still way faster than doing it manually!)

Our processes for loading performance data into Incent worked perfectly. We also saw great value in the integration with salesforce.com

Cons

We found Analytics to be less than intuitive however we did find value in the support team who were quick to help. I would recommend spending time/money upfront to setup analytics.

Pros

For the user the tool looks good and is offers great transparency. Cannot imagine going back to spread sheets. Love the up to date information for the users.

Cons

Very difficult to use. Not intuitive. Very buggy. LOTS of implementation problems. Cannot easily build reports or pull out data. Very hard to get help. All responses are: you need to pay for training or premium support. Very frustrating.

The support for Xactly is not spectacular and find a coder when changes are required is not always quick. We were sold on what-if scenarios and it was not available and still may not be. We do all of the hard data work behind the scenes - so it's not adding much value.
