Works well with Windows Defender to provide a comprehensive protection solution. Customer service is by and large the best I've encountered for protection software.
It does a good job of keeping itself up to date and has a nice console for administrators to use and get a top-down view on how the endpoints are doing.
The interface is nice and polished and it's easy to deploy the software to from this simple console to multiple devices.
Pros
The program has been out for a while and it very polished. There have been instances where I needed support and was able to get it very quickly, which is very nice.
Great software and easy installation. Once you are able to speak to tech support they are pretty good.
Overall I would highly recommend the product for patch management, which can be used in both domain and workgroup environments. It offers good value for money, for the amount of time saved.
Cons
We haven't recognized any performance loss even we exposed some virus attacks. Symantec software working as shield to proctect your computer.
We used to have computers being constantly formatted because of viruses but after we started using the endpoint, we no longer have that problem.
There were some obstacles to get over, more of a learning curve with certain websites or extensions being blocked.
Cons
Sometimes the updates come out a day after patch Tuesday. Sometimes updates fail to deploy with weird error readings that's not very detailed.
Problem with missing patches by severity. Hardly to know the network computers is up to date.
Once the remote session was done however the problem had magically fixed itself.
