We regularly get our devices checked with Symantec and we are using it for deep dive virus and malware protection. SEPM configurations have been quiet handy for our security team. Also who will avoid getting a professional support from Symantec team.
Opening task manger you can see that there is single process running for Symantec, hence it is very low on resources consumption. It provides many functionalities in a single bundle. It protects most endpoint devices by offering simple features. It gives upgrade whenever we have a need which means that we are always protected. We don't have to do much configurations as the default serves better. But still if we need any configurations we can do them.
I don't like the prompts for password time and again. The management should be possible from local as well as web based console.

It is quite good, but the product cannot be completly compared to the competitors
RIch of a lot of funtionalities like app isolation, app control and a complete XDR console.
It lacks of a real deep learning engine. The console is slow.

Symantec security is an well design tool to protect our devices from powerful threats which could be so harmful for our important data. Symantec works smoothly and enable us to surf safely on internet . A good option for me to keep my all devices safe from risky threats.
Symantec is a security platform for us and as well as for our clients and it provide us basic security features. We can easily manage and protect our several devices from tricky virus and only one agent can control all devices. Symantec Endpoint Protection can automatically detect the upcoming virus or threats in our system. We can also scan our emails as well as our other useful files. Symantec antivirus is very useful for our several devices and also compatible with all kind of latest devices.
Symantec is good security option for our plenty of devices but also have some issues to work with this tool. when we start to deep system scan it takes approximately up to an hour to complete which is not so good for our business work. This antivirus contains a lot of memory in our system and slow down our system for other applications. Install easily but tedious to remove from system.

Improved security through multi-factor authentication.
From a user's perspective, Symantec VIP provides an easy way to achieve multi-factor authentication. I was not involved in the selection or setup (it was handled by our IT on a company-wide scale) so am unsure how that aspect of usage is.
When accessing corporate data on my mobile device (Outlook, Skype, etc), my organization still requires multi-factor authentication which requires me to have my PC on with VIP open to get the code. There is an option to have it on your mobile device instead (I believe this is mutually exclusive with having it on your PC), but I hesitate to do this for fear of having my access coupled with two points of failure.

Overall, it is a good option with high security.
It is compatible for all versions of Windows & Mac OS. You can schedule the auto-scanning and get the scanning reports. It does its job & make your system secured. You can use it in the companies with high number of employees & secure the data and system.
It uses a little bit high percentage of CPUs while scanning & this makes computer slightly slow.

It is simple to set up meetings, handles security very effectively, and uses little computer resources, making it a useful tool for internal and external collaboration inside our company. Document security and authentication, including two-factor authentication (2FA) for... applications, user-friendly platform interfaces, data encryption, security, and authentication, etc.
Very simple to set up with the computers and being installed.
I guess the price it self for the tool and all.

Really good antivirus/firewall. You do not need to worry about the security.
The thing I like most about Symantec is that I do not need to think about security of my laptop. There was not any problems and I feel safe.

Secured our servers and desktops effectively and efficiently. Centralized security management of our devices.
We have used Endpoint Protection for many years with minimal issues. We moved to the hosted version last year which has made deployment and management even easier and eliminated the need for a dedicated server.
System resource usage tends to be excessive, particularly at system startup and initial login. User control from the desktop is fairly minimal which can make troubleshooting an issue on the rare occasion it's necessary.

Symantec Endpoint Security is a feature-rich security software that provides comprehensive protection for businesses. It has a wide range of security features and tools that assist with managing and responding to security incidents. The software's access to global threat intelligence is a valuable feature that can help organizations stay up-to-date on the latest threats. However, the software can be complex and resource-intensive, and it may generate false positive alerts. Additionally, it can be costly for small businesses. The company offers free trial version of the software which could be useful for evaluating whether it would be a good fit for your organization.
Pros:Comprehensive protection: Symantec Endpoint Security offers a wide range of security features including anti-virus, firewall, intrusion prevention, and web security.Real-time monitoring: The software includes real-time monitoring and alerts for security incidents.Threat intelligence: It has access to a global threat intelligence network which helps to stay updated on the latest threats.Incident...
Complexity: The software can be challenging to set up and configure, especially for those who are not familiar with it.Resource-intensive: It may require significant system resources to run, which can affect the performance of the endpoint systems.False positives: Some users have reported that the software generates a number of false positive alerts, which can make it difficult to identify real threats.Cost: Symantec Endpoint Security can be costly, especially for small businesses.

We protect and secure our all physical, virtual and cloud systems against virus, malware, spam etc. with Trend Micro Deep Security. Also ease of use is the best feature.
We implemented and integrated Deep Security easily. Our administrators like the ease of use. The product compatible with all server types, so we don’t need to separate licensing models. Other Trend Micro products are easy to use with central management. Trend Micro Deep Security provides real-time, high-performance scanning, so we can be protected against attacks instantly and also scanning is fast.
There is no major disadvantage of this product. May be we can say that reporting module can be improved. Also price of product is higher than other products.

It provides layers of defence covering virtual and cloud environments. Good and stable solution. Deep security can cater small, medium and large scale enterprises with its centrally managed simple and easily manageable console. Administrative workload is less once deployed properly. Simple dashboards make it easy to monitor the network and it provides total visibility over the network. Less cpu and memory consumption makes computers less stressed during real time and on demand scan.
Antivirus is stable and has a better alerting mechanism. Dashboards are simple. Virtual patching is an advanced option which cannot be seen in most solutions. It can apply security controls automatically to protect from zero day vulnerabilities. Less cpu and memory consumption.
Not satisfied with the support level they are providing. Also antivirus signatures are poor and didn’t detect most of the malwares. Dashboards are not comprehensive and need to improve. Reports also have very limited options and need to improve reporting.

Overall the experience has been very good: very good attention in terms of technical support and commercial issues. We had the on-premises version and now we are moving to the cloud. In both cases the deployment of the product was simple and with very good support from the seller. We feel very comfortable with the purchase of the product as it meets the needs for which we acquired it (virtual patches for legacy systems and security reinforcements).
It is very interesting and useful for us to be able to protect our legacy operating systems through a "virtual patch". In other words, we really liked the possibility of protecting the system without the need to physically install a Windows update. On the other hand, the possibility to protect our Linux systems with a wide variety of components (protection for Web servers, file systems, Logs, ETC) has been of great help to us in the administration and protection of our systems.
They can improve in the documentation of each component that the product has. For example, provide more information to decide whether or not to enable a feature (or how to optimize it).
