Duo Security vs ESET Endpoint Security Comparison

I like that Duo let's you know what might compromise your experience on a platform. It tells you to upgrade your android/iOS handset and gives a severity level. This is great from an endpoint security perspective.

At times - the app takes a little time to prompt the user that an attempt is being made. This may be a function of slow infrastructure, but it is hard to assess.

I like that I can send a push to my phone or watch to verify my account, so if I misplace my phone I can verify on my watch, and vise versa.

I have had no issues with Duo Security. I use it to login to my email at work and it has always functioned properly.

I like the simplicity of the multifactor authentication process. It was easy to deploy on our phones and works perfectly each day.

I do not have any cons to list. This product functions as it should and does the job. Compared to the product that we switched from though, I do feel that DUO provides less security.

It's simplicity. The interface provides all the details in one window and you can use it with ease. It provides the login security feature so that unauthorised user don't have the access to the machine. It works so perfect and no one will access your machine until and unless you approve it from the Duo App.

The notifications lags and sometime you have to manually open the app to refresh the security login approval notification which is very disturbing.

I liked the ease of using Duo for setting that extra layer of security. Now I don't need to worry about my password being weak or stolen.

I like how one can authenticate through sms or through app notification. There could be extra layer of security if duo can collect the list of devices we sign in through and giving option to name it individually.

Duo Security software is very effective at sending two-factor authentication pushes to my cell phone and allowing me to avoid cumbersome text message codes to enter into logins.

The one down side of Duo Security software is that if you cell phone runs out of battery or if your cell phone encounters technical problems than you will have quite the problem logging onto your desired platform.

It is a extremely intutive, deloghtfully designed product. We implemented dual security in our school and duo actually made it a seamless experience.

The activation barcode is a bit hidden and opens up a camera without indication on where to point (for eg whatsapp puts a layer on top of the camera which is helpful)

Honestly, while Duo security makes verification rather simple. If feels like a waste of space as an app on my find. The need for an app instead of receiving a message is kind of frustrating.

Not very user friendly, a little bit of a learning curve involved. Trying to walk the end user in registering can often be a challenge, trying to explain and get the end user to understand fully how the DUO process flow works can be a challenge as well.

This is a great software to keep login secure. I like the ease of use the most about this software.

The thing that I like least about this product is that on my IOS device it doesn't pop up you have to go into the app to approve the push.

Duo Security was extremely easy to use. It does a great job of being straightforward and keeping your accounts secure. It provides new codes on a 30-second basis, making it difficult for hackers to do what they do.

There are no cons for Duo Security. Each time I have to use it, I am pleased and satisfied with the results.

Very easy to use and setup on smart phone. We use it to authenticate to all applications we use. Give another level of security

with any other dual authentication - loss of a cell phone or smart device leaves you unable to login without having someone put your login credentials in bypass mode.
