Cons
  • We've been using this system in the office for years now and no viruses managed to slip through it's barrier.Aleksandra N.Read the full review
  • It's a security system you can install and forget about it, as it works automatically in the background and will only rise up when blocking a potential dangerous site.John E.Read the full review
  • The disadvantages it has are: it analyzes a few files (zip, ace, rar), the options it has been limited. Sometimes has problems detecting compressed programs; some files do not disinfect them.Michel E.Read the full review

Lightweight and full protection of endpoints

Pros
There are three things that are wonderful and ESETs software. It is lightweight, comprehensive, and nimble. The client takes up a very little about of RAM and the scanning is very fast. It continues to win AV100 awards and i've never had an active infection on a customer's computer that ESET could not mitigate. Lastly, because of livegrid, it constantly protects against 0day and other threats.

Cons
I wish the price was cheaper. ESET is affordable, but not cheap. Their ratings also seem to have fallen (slightly) in recent years.

Ease of installation and fair price for the product are 2 of the major drawls for this program. They offer 3 products, and I recommend just the Anti-virus product. Windows provides more than enough protection for web browsing and if you stick with SSL sites, you don;t need the extra "product weight" which will slow your system down.

Pros
Low cost Ease of installation/configuration Good overall protection

Cons
Seems that it takes quite a long time for ESET to address/fix bugs in updates They have a forum where users post "fixes", however, I've found that the suggestions that are posted here are more of people "grasping at straws", than actual solutions/work-arounds.

Highly recommended for those who are struggling with low-end PCs and its a solution for everyone with a decent deal price when compared to other expensive virus guards.

Pros
I’m using ESET on my personal laptop since 2015 and still I don’t have any threatens for my files. I can summarize what are the pro features I really enjoying in ESET in below list, 1. It is pretty simple and it doesn’t notify annoying things like other virus guards. 2. It doesn’t consume so much RAM consumption and still doing a pretty decent job for my low-performance CPU. 3. Anti-theft future from ESET is useful. 4. Doing a great job for Internet browsing and always aware of all kinds of threatens. 5. The virus database updates are frequent and we can customer service availability is 24/7.

Cons
Honestly I don’t have any negative thoughts of ESET because it’s doing a great job for me for over five years. I hope more security upgrades will out in future.

Upgraded an older laptop to Windows 10- new HD, More memory. The Security App I had, would not run and Windows Defender seemed to be sucking up about 85% of the CPU resources for just a ESET processes. Installing ESET was easy and fast. The package deal for 3 systems makes this an even better bargain.

Pros
Easy to set up and configure across multiple devices. Great tool for the price. Set and forget, really seems to work.

Cons
Creating specific rules to allow certain actions is not really intuitive. If you are not familiar with that activity, it can be a little intimidating.

Pros
Low system impact - the antivirus runs in the background and doesn't interfere with other program use. You only notice its there when it "catches" one of the nasty things trying to infect your machine.

Cons
While the cost itself is rather expensive for a whole office, the security you feel is worth the price. I don't think we would feel as "safe" with a free product.

An easy solution to secure our offices desktops, regardless of operating system running.

Pros
The application is relatively cheap and installs without any issues in conjunction with Windows Defender. The interface is clean and easy to navigate. The messages it produces are both non-intrusive and helpful, which is alot better than most antivirus programs on the market.

Cons
There is very little negative to say. It does exactly as advertised and is priced very reasonably. The worst I can say is that is 'may' make my computer a little bit slower, but that is actually hard to guage and attribute to this.

I have been using Eset for over 3 years now and I've no complaints. It has many security features, such as network, email and spam protection. You can schedule scans as per your need, very flexible. You can easily order a trial license so you can test it out.

Pros
Not so many false-positives, it offers a good variety of useful reports. The UI is clean and easy to follow, very intuitive. Despite the extensive security features, it does not require too much configuration.

Cons
Fortunately, I've no complaints so far. I once had an issue with the license but it was quickly resolved by contacting the support team. There are cheaper options out there in the market, but it really worth its price for what it offers.

Thought sometimes I might get miffed with a pop-up blocker alert as I surfed online, they always seems to get the treat in the end, as pace and functionality of my PC continued to be great for me! Review Source: Software Advice

I have been using Eset since the past 11 years and while I have tried Norton, Mcafee, Avast and host of other anti-virus. I found Eset the most effective and stable (zero crashes). It works silently in the background and is not resource hungry like most other antiv-virus softwares. Its auto update feature has never crashed (but lets you know if you have not connected to the internet in a while that it needs to update), highly intelligent so its threat detection rate has been 100% and it has never annoyingly blocked an innocent program.

Pros
Live detection of all virus intrusions arriving via email or download Works silently in the back ground Uses low system resources. User friendly interface Ensures a safe virus free environment for your PC with 100% detection rate.

Cons
Subscription prices seem to go up every two years. The product is not featured in the top anti virus programs.
