Prevent unauthorized system access with ESET.

Reviewed a month ago

If it weren't for the only cons that I put above, it would be the best program I've had in double authentication, it's a real lock that you can trust so that nobody accesses your information in a violent way.It protects very well the information that we have in the databases about our collaborators in human resources, it is really true that it also prevents unauthorized departments from snooping on information that does not correspond to them by faculties.

Pros

We precisely grant the servers and their access to only authorized personnel, the easiest way we have is to have implemented this program, it is very fair to say that when starting it and installing it, the coding is very simple, just like the setup.Key pairing to each user with a simple key is very interesting and there can be reliable and effective secure access management which is what we like best

Cons

In the sense of aspects that I dislike within the software, I think what it could indicate is that it blocks some IPs by default, I think this is somewhat distressing when you do not initially know that the program does this by default and you do not know how to solve it immediately, The other thing is that push notifications often get stuck when you read too much information or the servers are very large.

Vendor response

Thank you for choosing ESET for your cybersecurity and for taking the time to write such a kind review. We look forward to continuing to serve you in the future.

Easy Setup and Administration

Reviewed 3 years ago

We started using it a few years ago to secure remote access and Outlook web access for users.

Pros

It's incredibly easy to set up the server side, add licenses and roll out the app to users.

Cons

In previous versions, the upgrade process was very inefficient. There are some issues where support hasn't been able to help very much as well.

ESET secure authentication

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

Software is generally easy to use, install, upgrade and (now) has most of the features we need.

Cons

keys\tokens on the clients get corrupted fairly often without any warning or indication to the end user that something is wrong. We need to have the end user delete the app, resend them the invite text, etc.

Pros

Installed easily. Integrated with out Radius server easily. The app works well. SMS does as well. I'd say the only issues were simple understandings of how the service worked.

Cons

Activating a new user is a tad of a chore, but once setup it is seamless.

ESET Secure Authentication

Reviewed 3 years ago

This is a great product to solve the security concerns we were seeking when connecting remote users. The setup was fairly straightforward and easy. The support team was a great help as well.

Pros

This is a great product to solve the security concerns we were seeking when connecting remote users. The setup was fairly straightforward and easy. The support team was a great help as well.

Cons

It would have been nice to have a simple set up video for Active Directory and the workstations to view prior to installation. Once I was able to get it installed and working I understand how simple it was. However, having a video or something to refer to would have been a great help.

Just do it!

Reviewed 3 years ago

First and foremost I want to say that if you are using RDP you must use some sort of dual factor authentication. RDP without that is a sitting duck for compromise. That being said, ESET Secure Authentication is not expensive, and it not difficult to setup.

Pros

I didn't find this difficult at all to setup. In fact, I have some very low tech users I assisted with setting this up on their smart phones and could do it by check talking to them over the phone. It is a big help to not have to set it up on everyone's phone for them.

Cons

There are a few wrinkles that you have to understand in order to make this work correctly, but over all it isn't difficult to setup.

Very useful security software
