I made the switch from a competitor because the competitor was getting too expensive. A month after I switched, the competitor I switched from hacked my bank account information and stole my new debit card information to renew the subscription I had previously canceled. Once the competitors stole my banking information there was no going back and I stuck with aVG
Relatively simple to use, very user-friendly in fact, free antivirus software with no noticeable gaps in coverage and the ability to subscribe to premium features inexpensively. Plus it’s not owned by those crooks at Norton.
There is an annual push to try to convince you to upgrade and buy a premium subscription for less frequently used features and the repair of less common software errors.

I have had avg on my computer for years its a really Good software to have I highly recommend
Avg antivirus is a good app it searches every inch of your device for virus and may even block harmful web viruses from entering your computer.
If you don't have a paid monthly subscription you’ll have tons of adds and the free version make stick. Also if you have another antivirus on your device avg would see that antivirus as a virus.

This antivirus has kept my computer free of viruses, malware, and ransomware for 2+ years. Although it has some minor issues involving update frequency, It is a great choice for your first antivirus software.
This software is great because it is easy to use for people who are not computer literate. It works wonderfully defending against viruses from downloads and email attachments. It is very user friendly and operates quietly in the background allowing me to work on my computer undisturbed.
The antivirus is sometimes slow and there are many updates, which can be inconvenient.

Great antivirus software with very decent features, definitely telling my friends about this one.
It as powerful real time protection from viruses, malware, spyware etc. You have the option to set priority on certain areas you would like to scan as well as full system scan and it also provides protection when using your browser to surf the web.
It often picks up alot of false positives during a system scan, especially if you have certain games install on your computer, though there is a way to set the antivirus to ignore certain files in the settings of the app.

An all in one antivirus, malware and web security that is reliable and secured.
It is an all in one antivirus, malware and web security application. The free version gives you the basics for having security in your laptop/pc. With the paid version you will also get ransomware protection that is really good for businesses.
The least I like about AVG internet security is it is not cheap but with the cost it also gives you more security on your web browsing and also the ransomware protection is really good to have.

Overall, the software is a great option for those who don't want to shop for an antivirus software.
The software has a free version of it, which allows people to have a convenient option for those who do not have an ability to purchase an antivirus software.
The antivirus security for the free version is mediocre and may allow viruses to penetrate the system.

AVG has made keeping the servers that store our source code and other software production resources an easy task, due to the ability to schedule when a scan occurs. Also, the value of the product allows smaller companies such as ours to afford top-notch protection from malicious logic without breaking our budget.
I've been thoroughly impressed with the quality of AVG's antivirus software for a number of years now. The virus definitions are updated regularly, the interface is easy to navigate, and the price is certainly lower than many other antivirus programs that offered much less.
I've yet to notice any shortcomings to using AVG. I started with the completely free version years ago, and have stuck with them ever since.

-After the time that I have used it, I have not considered it as my main antivirus since it has given me many false positives. I feel like the program slows down my computer somewhat. And the tools integrated into the plan do not convince me.
-A free plan is available. -It is very simple to use. -It is constantly updated. -Safe Internet browsing.
-I consider the price somewhat high in relation to quality-price. There are many paid antivirus and this is the most expensive. -I don't like the design of the graphical interface at all. -It has given me many false positives. -There is no option to customize the antivirus.

I don't consider the application complete, I could have some options, like: cleaning up junk mail, warning about unsafe websites, blocking navigation.
AVG antivirus is very interesting, starting with the space, which is little, then, for its practicality in handling, atiavr, in short ... it is different from some annoying and complicated antivirus, this is quite easy. It has security in applications, in navigations, wi-fi networks ...
The application sometimes has an error and crashes. But nothing that restarting the device does not solve.

I would recommend this software to anyone wanting to run their own antivirus on their computer or compatible devices.
The product is very easy to use with automatic regular updates. Scan at least once a month or more for best performance.
At least the free version is missing some of the key features, but I haven't found that to be a major deterrent for using it.

The overall experience is good and it's really lightweight. The system loads fast after the reboot.
It's one the lightweight antivirus which offers complete security when I am online and for my data on the machine.
The pricing is but too on the higher side. Also there is no proper documentation on some functionalities of the product.

You don't need this software, but it is better than McAfee, Norton, or Kapersky. This might protect your PC from some outdated viruses, sometimes.
AVG won't protect you from the most cutting-edge threats, and will slow down your PC's performance. If this program is active on your PC and you're complaining about how slow your system is...Well, uninstalling AVG is probably just the first step you need to take.

The software also has a file shredder that destroys any file you place in it so no one can find it or restore it on your computer which is a nice touch.
AVG has good malware protection and a light system impact, includes a powerful file shredder and quickly scans drives. But Avast and Avira have more useful features, and Bitdefender has better malware protection.
This software slows your computer more than other antivirus software we reviewed. The software is also very difficult to remove from your computer once installed.

Overall AVG is a good choice, but would not be my preferred solution. I did have a good experience with their customer support team though.
AVG Business Edition comes in at a good price compared to some other antivirus business solutions. It also performs very well and protects again most malware.
The business edition did not have as many features as some other business solutions we tried such as Avast

My overall experience with AVG Internet Security has been great so far. The user interface is easy to use. The main functionalities are accessible with few clicks.
AVG Internet Security provides a good level of protection when surfing on the Internet. The antivirus is capable to recognise a large amount of virus, ransomware, spyware, and other types of malware.
The recent news that AVG extensions for Chrome and Firefox were collecting users' activities is one of the downsides to consider. However, AVG has solved this problem.

In the past we had suggested customers change to this when things like Norton are too resource hungry for their systems. It's a good overall security suite , something for everyone! lately we have had to fight with it being a little too over sensitive at times though..
I really like the free trial they offer / modes and how simple or complex you can get prepping the settings / security protocol. It's not as heavy as other antivirus / packaged suites either.
Over the years I noticed they are getting a little pushier trying to get people to pay from the free versions... and also as they stick more and more into the suite it really is starting to get resource hungry which is sad. It's still a great product but I don't recommend it as much anymore because of this trend.

I have been using AVG mostly for safe and secure browsing, and I am actually considering to upgrading to full protection through the paid version if I feel like I need to in the future.
I have been using the free version of AVG for some time now and, unlike some other antivirus software, it still has the browser plugin and the web and email shields, which is what I like the most about AVG as it provides a safe and secure browsing and emailing experience at all times.
I wish the program automatically gave the option to go through all the settings during the first use. I think this does not apply only to AVG but all the antivirus and similar software out there.

Norton provides my internet security for home and business.
I had used Norton several years ago and then a new computer came with McAfee so I tried that for awhile and have no recently switched back to Norton and am even more pleased with it's interface and usability. I actually love that anything I download gives me a little notification to tell me it's been scanned and safe. The other thing I like is the trust in the brand and name. Norton has been around for a long time and
The only real complaint one might have would be price. However, the peace of mind is perhaps worth it, and the trust in the name as well.

Norton Security lets me focus on normal PC operations while it handles all my Internet Security protection needs.
What I love MOST about Norton is that the company has been around for a very, very long time and continues to be one of the industry leaders. When my corporate solutions are too expensive or not called for, I always reach straight for my Norton Security licenses. Ever since their program reworking back in 2009, the software detects everything thrown at it, and does so without slowing my systems down.
My biggest con is the lack of a configuration file that can be exported/imported between versions and computers, which doesn't exist in Norton. Beyond that, the licensing model for renewals leaves something to be desired, but that isn't unique to Norton.

Overall, Norton is the greatest all-around internet security suite available – it offers unrivalled virus protection, packages nearly all of the internet security solutions available on the market into a single software, and is a great bargain for practically all types of customers.
A highly powerful firewall mechanism is included in the programme, which can assist keep intruders out. Fast scans that operate silently in the background without interfering with the users' productivity. Works well without the requirement for input from our non-technical users. It aids in the protection and monitoring of the home network. Automatically safeguards the PC when it connects to public wireless networks.
Although there is little or no compatibility with the Windows XP Firewall, they are still engaged. In P2P networks, however, the technology lacks security against computer worms (peer to peer). When compared to other tools, scanning the entire system might take a long time.
