What is HVS32?

HVS32 is a comprehensive, modular software package for parcel shipping. The main functions of the basic module are label printing and data transfer to carriers. The program gathers order data from merchandise management, warehouse- or shop systems. The software communicates via standard interfaces, such as ODBC and XML. SAP RFC, and SAP Idoc. Amazon web services are also supported. HVS32 can print labels according to carrier specifications, and the software also outputs accompanying documents, such as loading lists and waybills.

There are several expansion modules and additional applications for HVS32, which can be used to add separate functions. These include multi-client capability as well as multi-depot capability, i.e., transfer to different depots. An address check compares address validity via OpenStreetMap, while another module supports the dispatch of dangerous goods in accordance with regulations. An optional loading scan can also be carried out to give senders a shipping confirmation.

There are additional applications for freight cost management, package management, and address verification. The latter is also available as a direct extension of HVS32. The software was developed by Heidler Strichcode, founded in 1991. The company lists over 1500 user references, including many well-known names, such as Airbus, BMW, Bundesbahn, Liebherr, Linde, Mercedes-Benz, Puma, and Thyssenkrupp.
