I have been a user of this companies suite of programs for 24 years. This new version Load Plus is great. Creating more synergies with outside programs, more automation and reporting. I have been an admin user for 12 of those years as well. It's a great program and I have viewed others. They don't provide much more, and their pricing and lack of accounting keeps Load Plus a front runner of great TMS's to use in my business.
I like the ease in the ability to use it. You can handle any type of logistical business with this platform. You can handle any volume of business with this platform. Load plus is continually improving the product as well. The development team is very open to outside vendors as well with their API's. Mainly as an owner, the fact that I could in theory have one single platform to sign into and run my company is priceless.
The only thing I would say negative is that all this detail comes at a price. Lot's of fields. While the vast majority of the fields are not required entry fields, there are still a lot you may never use. However, a small price to pay to know you can and they exist should your business pivot.

Overall we are very happy with LoadPlus
Simplicity is great. seems to do away with bells and whistles the pertain to trucking not brokerage.
User interface at times. (can be dressed up a bit) Tracking or loads to be highlighted with some sort of attention (ability to highlight a row in tracking or available screen)

The dispatch system has met our needs, minimal training is needed. If adaptations are needed, they have had the solution.
Really easy to use, system is set up logically, multiple reporting capabilities
Did not have a P&L function at the time (or one to our liking, it was 10 years ago!)

There have been some real issues but we escalated and got them resolved.
The system is easy to enter customers and carriers.
They system needs to consolidate functions in less steps. Example: Tracking has to be tracked thru each leg of the shipment. That can be very time consuming. Each step has at least three functions. The system takes too long to move from one step to the other. It takes a long time to save.

We use it to supply data for customer reviews. It covers the basics. I have used it to book loads and it works ok. My overall feeling is that it is a basic product that is a good value.
It is relatively intuitive and easy to use.
Pretty basic and clunky. Would like to have a more up-to-date presentation. Reporting section is not good at all and needs to be upgraded.

It has been good software for our company
The smooth transition from dispatch to accounting is my favorite feature
It is a pretty big software program. Takes a while to get used to all of the features. Sometimes have trouble logging in early mornings but that could be on my part. Have to try several times to get connected.

We started when it was just being "born" it has come a long way and I am happy to have had some input in the way it works and how it functions.
The templates, Brower Friendly, so many different ways to use it. From basic to very involved, everyone can find a way to make it work.
It could be a little faster still... Sometimes it still glitches but the support team is always ready to help

Overall this has been a great product
Having all customers, carriers, shippers and receivers in one place is wonderful
I don't like that if an invoice was made for a load and changes need to be made you have to void the whole thing instead of being able to change it. And when making any changes, it's not very user friendly.

We have been a user of LoadPlus for over thirty years. All of the big TMS companies have approached us about changing to their product. We hesitate to change as the product always works and the customer service is as good or better than any company we work with.
First and foremost the Customer Support is excellent. We have been with this company for 30+ years. The system works almost flawlessly. Management can write customs programs if you require them for your specific needs.
I wish there was a Cash Flow Statement in the General Ledger module. Our bank always asks for this information. I wish they would add a Tank Endorsement box in the Dispatch module. Other than those two issues the software always works.

We have used this software for over 25 years and have always received prompt and courteous support. We started with their standalone system and eventually upgraded to their Cloud based system
Ability to limit down time and provide customers with accurate reports and location of product is very important, The ease of use of the system limits the need for lengthy training which allows new users to hit the ground running.
The good thing about FMS is when we have an issue arise, they are always ready to provide support quickly to address our issue and keep us up and running. This is very important because if our software is down, we are not generating revenue.

Overall I think VLP does the job, but if asked, I would assume it was one of the most affordable options out there. I would not pay a premium for it if I was the owner purchasing the software. It makes it harder to be efficient because of the outdated feel/flow and "order of operations" if you will.
So far, the best feature has been integrating MyCarrierPackets.
The system crashes regularly. Email integration through the servers are slow and insconsistent. When entering a load, the system will OFTEN glitch and lose all load info.. we then must log out of the dispatch screen, reload the dispatch side, and repopulate the info to post. This happens multiple times a day for multiple users. Tracking needs to include a # for the carriers to track themselves, and to provide to customers who require tracking 24/7 for high value items. Often rate confirmations either don't end up with the carrier and we have to manually re-send from our email, or they end up in junk. Overall VLP feels outdated, clunky and less user friendly than it should. So many unnessecsary buttons, requirements, features..

I like the inerface between the dispatch and accounting softwares. The oly thing that would make it better is if you could do it all from same platform instead of having to open a different site. Overall the software is easy to use and the support is great

I have been working with FMS/ VLP systems for several years & have always had nothing but good experiences. The ease of learning the functions & utilizing the system has always been good for us. The format is easy to follow & easy to find history data for customers , carriers and sales . The system is not to complicated and easily manageable for all. If & when we come upon an issues I will say FMS has a great response team to help out no matter what the issue may be.
Ease of use , Entering loads ,carriers & following the dispatch is easy to learn ..
Everything seems to work well with the dispatch side that I work with daily .. The accounting side is done by someone else in the company so we are not trained for billing or posting payments in A/R or A/P

My daily operations are smooth sailing with this software. I have had situations that I wished I could get something out of the system. After a quick call to support, I have found out I could. Carol has been my hero more than once. I will add that the fact that most of the people that work and support the software have been there 10 plus years is a sign of a great company to work for and work with - in my experience.
I originally started with company that had program downloaded to our server. We now use the remote version and log in through remote desktop. We just completed 10 years of our company. Freight Mgmt has helped us along the way so much. Anytime we have an issue, they are prompt to respond. I am proud they continue to improve the software - no resting on their laurels! It is always easy when hiring someone new because software is very straightforward - it makes training process very efficient.
There are a few quirks that have just been there since i started using 20 years ago. One place I know that you should be able to utilize in equipment, but it will give an error every time. We have found a work around, but it seems like something that should have been resolved by now. I do wish 1099s could be printed for MISC not just the NEC ones. Payroll module would be nice add, but definitely not required at this point.
