Pros and cons

What I like the most about Upper is how easy it is for me to use. It has been of a lot of help to me and when teaching the drivers how to use it, it is easy for them to understand.
Good experience, like ease of use, we use it daily for our delivery business. Hope they get integration to more platforms soon.
I love the ease of use, the ability to capture signatures and photos of deliveries.
The customer service has ruined any potential for reconciliation of our business.
User interface was basic and boring. Not easy to edit routes.
Not being able to add stop when the route is in transi.

Grateful That Upper Made Delivery Management a Breeze for Our Team

Reviewed 2 months ago

It’s been almost four months since we started using Upper, and I am so glad to mention that our delivery management has improved dramatically. It helped our team to stay more organized when planning routes and deliver faster which our customers love.

Pros

One of the best things about Upper is how it handles unexpected changes in our delivery schedule. The flexibility to adjust on the fly and inform our drivers instantly is invaluable. Also, the reporting tools are fantastic, allowing us to see performance at a glance. Also, the software’s interface is clean, making it easy for our non-technical members to access it without any training or difficulty.

Cons

However, I do wish the subscription model was more flexible to accommodate smaller or less frequent users without feeling overpriced. Also, navigating through the more advanced features has a bit of a learning curve that can be intimidating at first.

Worth Pricing For Its Range of Features.

Reviewed 3 months ago

It’s been such a wonderful addition to our company’s process as Upper has improved our operational capabilities and made our delivery process more efficient. It is user-friendly and has exclusive features that helped our team to perform more jobs in less time. Thanks:)

Pros

I really appreciate how Upper saves us time with its contacts that help us save our customers’ contacts. It’s really easy to look up delivery history for particular address using this feature. Being able to upload multiple photos for proof of delivery is a game changer for keeping things transparent with our clients. The pure blessing is the customer support team whom we can count on whenever there is any challenge.

Cons

Sometimes, Upper is being bit slow, which can be a little annoying, but their customer service team is always around to help you instantly. For startups and newly established companies, pricing can be a little high, but at the same time, they have a lot of features.

Upper Delivers on Usability and Efficiency for Small Businesses

Reviewed 3 months ago

My experience with Upper has been overwhelmingly positive. The intuitive design and comprehensive features have streamlined our delivery process, increasing overall productivity of our driver team. Their support team is also very proactive, which helps a lot whenever issues arise.

Pros

The real standout with Upper is how easy it makes route planning, saving us a lot of headaches. The ability to integrate seamlessly with our existing CRM tools has really helped keep everything in sync. Also, the GPS tracking feature is incredibly precise, giving us peace of mind about where our deliveries are at any time. The batch upload feature is another lifesaver, allowing us to handle large orders effortlessly.

Cons

The cost can be a bit of a stretch for us as we're still growing, and sometimes the feature set is more complex than we need. Occasionally, the interface can be a bit glitchy, particularly when updating large sets of data. And while I love the customization options, they can be a bit daunting to set up correctly the first time around.

Can’t be more happier and delighted with Upper’s ease of use!

Reviewed 3 months ago

Switching to Upper has been really a good decision for our entire team. The platform’s ease of use stands out, and it is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive for our team. What I appreciate the most is the simple pricing structure—no hidden fees, just straightforward costs that are easy to budget for. Address validation is a standout feature, ensuring we never end up at the wrong location. The mobile app is a breeze to use, making communication with drivers seamless.

Pros

Upper’s intuitive interface and straightforward pricing eliminate any guesswork. Its reliable address validation ensures accuracy in navigation, preventing any unwanted detours. The mobile app is clean and easy to use, facilitating seamless communication between dispatchers and drivers. One standout feature is the ability to upload multiple images for delivery proof, maintaining transparency. I am glad that we found Upper as our route optimization partner.

Cons

However, there are a few areas for improvement. The mobile app can be slow at times, although customer support is quick to resolve such issues. Additionally, once a delivery status is updated, you cannot revert it, which can be inconvenient. Upper can be overwhelming to new users due to the many features that they can try to navigate the system all at once.

Upper has become an indispensable tool that significantly boosts our efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Pros

What we liked most about Upper is its efficient AI-powered route optimization, real-time tracking, and automated customer notifications. These features significantly reduced our delivery times, saved fuel, and enhanceed customer satisfaction.

Cons

While its advanced features are impressive, they can be overwhelming initially, requiring time and effort to fully utilize and understand the platform's capabilities. The support was great to get started. The founder helped me through the training.

For the price it can’t get much better

Reviewed 6 months ago
Pros

It works well for the most part, the features of photos, notes and time logging stops is wonderful.

Cons

Sometimes it randomly changes routes and it’s not efficient at all and makes no sense why there was a change when no stops have changed. It also doesn’t always show the address properly and takes us to an entirely wrong area.

Reviewed 6 months ago
Pros

What I like the most about Upper is how easy it is for me to use. It has been of a lot of help to me and when teaching the drivers how to use it, it is easy for them to understand.

Cons

There are some features that need some improvement. For example: when the information of a client is saved, the phone number always has to be updated because the number does not get saved in the right format.

Easy to use. Extreme time saver. App operates quickly.

Reviewed 7 months ago

Overall very impressed. My only request would be the size of the buttons and the clickable area on the buttons could be larger so it doesn't have to be so precise when going through the route. happy to explain further if you're interested.

Pros

We love that it is easy to set up, optimize and modify the routes. If a job is for some reason in the wrong spot you can move it on the map to resolve the situation. We use the duplicate route feature constantly. Once our routes are set up, its set for the season. The tech support is extremely responsive and answers questions in a manner that is very simple to follow and understand. We only use the service for the winter seasons, and is still affordable for the year.

Cons

I wish you could undo a delivery status to put it back on the route. (I have check complete by accident by double tapping) Would be nice to integrate with geocoding. we are clearing snow from driveways and are going on and off of a property until the driveway is clear. Would be nice if the time on site was automatically started the first time you cross the geofence and stop after the last time you cross, automatically setting you up for the next property. (Followsoft does this).

Helpful with our needs.

Reviewed 7 months ago

Hoping to see some QOL improvements down the line but for now it's doing what we need it to do - plus the customer service is very attentive and helpful!

Pros

Route plans look great, routing itself works well for us automatically 90% of the time.

Cons

Routing choices can be odd and need to be fixed manually by us, and not having a more thorough combination of both stops AND contacts would be incredibly helpful and time saving.

Sold Characteristics that were then removed without notice

Reviewed 7 months ago
Pros

Inexpensive. That was the main selling point compared to other softwares.

Cons

I do not like that when we started we were able to text our clients with a time window for delivery, and then, all of a sudden, without any notice at all, UPPER removed this functionality unless we paid more money. I find this dishonest.

A Game Changer for ISP Companies

Reviewed 7 months ago
Pros

At Upper, efficiency is not just a promise; it's a reality. One of the standout features we appreciated the most about Upper was its ability to streamline our technician's routes, making them more efficient than ever before. As an Internet Service Provider (ISP), our needs are unique, requiring a solution that can adapt on the fly. With Upper, we found just that. Gone are the days of haphazardly planned...

Cons

After encountering an issue with the SMS alerts, we reached out to Upper for assistance. Their prompt response and effective resolution not only fixed the issue but also improved the functionality beyond our expectations. As of now, I cannot identify any drawbacks of using Upper.

Great Service, Easy to Implement

Reviewed 3 years ago

Great.

Pros

I liked that there were no extra setup costs, their route planner took the excel sheets I used before and made upload seemless. The responsive customer service is helpful.

Cons

Learning a new software can have a learning curve that is always challenging. Which ever solution I would have chosen, learning the new system the first few times is a challenge. But the customer service walked me through each step and even came for a site visit to show us tips to setup properly
