Audition is not the best overall DAW for film/tv, but it is powerful enough to get the job done in the interconnected Audio Creative Cloud environment.
Audition has grown as a DAW in the years that it has been around. Its interface has held steady, while it has added and refined features. Most common audio tasks are easily accomplished, and there's a nice blend of templates and customization for many features. Easily, the best thing about Audition is its ease in round-tripping from other CC applications, especially Premiere. Premiere has an okay set of audio tools, but not the depth of Audition. Dynamic linking makes it incredibly easy to open up working items directly from Premiere into Audition, and work on the two in tandem. Audition's file management is also helpful in this process, so that original audio files are not overwritten in the process.
Many have noted this, but Audition does not quite have the depth or industry penetration as Pro Tools. That often means that working between the two different programs can add layers of complexity.

Audition solves the problem of "time". Who doesn't want to save time?! Import my files, quickly work out my arrangements, cut and paste at will, add plug-ins seamlessly... what more could you ask for!?!?
I love the ability to import audio tracks from my DAW and then mix in Audition. The process is seamless and much easier than staying in my DAW. I also use Audition for theater productions. I load up audio tracks and set queues which I can then access just by pressing a number and hit play. It's a great way to have a complete theatrical soundtrack at your fingertips and then be able to play it live.
Literally nothing. There is just nothing to complain about with this software. I've had it forever and I'll use it forever. Make it cheaper? :)

I have all around experience with the program in every area.
I like that the features are easy to access and easy to understand.
The only thing I don't agree with is the price.

At the beginning of my learning of Adobe Audition, I felt difficult to learn it and how to apply effects, but after practice and learning, it became an integral part of the program
If you upload audio clips to podcasts or YouTube clips, you should care about the audio quality, here I must remind you of Adobe Audition. Adobe Audition helped me a lot with this, delivering high quality audio with a very professional fidelity. Adobe Audition stands out from all the other audio programs because it combines all the features in one program, which is such a nice thing that you don't need to go from one program to another. I liked the clip selection feature, which makes it easy to display the correct frame to the user in order to make accurate audio edits. I loved the library of audio and effects that Adobe Audition has such as removing noise and background noise, adding echo and FFT filters to enhance and increase audio quality, waveform editing, waveform processing and much more. A very powerful feature is to apply each feature individually, so that if you want to delete or modify a feature you have applied before, you do not need to re-work again, but there is a box for the effects and filters you used that you can control.
Just as there are many positives in it, I must mention the negatives that I experienced. Adobe Audition has a difficult user interface, you will feel confused when using it for the first time and you need time to learn and master the effects and how to apply them, because the program is not intended for beginners in the world of audio production

Overall, my experience with the software is very satisfying in handling my voiceover recordings and editing it . It is my first option in comparison to other software related to audio, though I believe I have-not used the software to its full potential. My use to its options is very limited in comparison to its potential.
For me, the strongest part about the software is it's easy to import several tracks, mix and match, add effects, background music,..etc. and at the end export one track. It is simply very easy to handle several tracks all at the same time.
There are no severe cons to the software. On the contrary, the software is full of options and very rich that makes it somehow complicated to use. I believe (me) having experience in other montaging software and a user other adobe software made it easy for me to use adobe audition, though I believe I still have not used the software to its full potential, there is yet a lot to discover ...What stops me, that I need some time and instructional videos to know more about sound engineering to use the software to its full potential. Conclusion: The software can be a little bit difficult to people who are not familiar with other adobe- software as well as sound engineering details (as it is full of options and menus). Room for improvement: Explain in detail how to use the software to full potential in sound engineering.

As a Videographer who needs to learn to use sound editing as a tool, but doesn't have the education of a Sound Engineer, this is a fantastic software only limited by what you know. I've heard many say that Logic is a much better option, or even Pro Tools, but it's hard to argue with Audition's functionality when accessible through the Creative Cloud. I would typically much rather try to resolve any audio issues or projects within Premiere Pro, but there are certain limitations and details missing that are an absolute need, that Audition does have. Give it a shot and you won't be disappointed.
You can pretty much do anything sound related. Recording options, tons of compressions and EQ templates and effects to get you started which are endlessly customizable. Far beyond my ability is isolating frequencies or removing them, but I have seen it done. The creativity also knows no bounds, as through Audition I was able to recreate the sound effect of a phone conversation. It's very visually appealing as well, great use of color and the interface is overwhelming, yet it exudes professionalism.
As is the issue with all Adobe software, there is a steep learning curve. Half the battle is knowing the tools there are to apply, but the other half is knowing where they are in the program. It could more than likely be better laid out to in a more user-friendly manner so the overwhelming factor decreases. This is where other programs like Logic excel.

My favorite thing is how easy and fast I can clean up an audio file from Premiere Pro, without having to import the audio again, I just open audition from Premiere Pro, edit the audio, and BOOM, the audio files update in Premiere.
Sometimes I have a problem when connecting the PC speakers. The software sometimes lags when using speakers instead of headphones.

It plays a major role in my earning. I live for doing voice-overs and Adobe Audition has been a great help. I'm a radio jockey and I often need to record my voice and send it to the production team. I have set up Adobe Audition with my Yeti microphone and I can easily record anytime. There are only a couple of times that I faced trouble but mostly it was my own fault...not a very tech-savvy person. lol.
It helps me record professional voiceovers for Tv and radio. I have done a lot of audio work in Audition. Be it a Vo for ads, documentaries, or other promotional campaigns, Adobe Audition provides excellent support. You can record the audio, do noise reduction and sometimes you also need to manipulate your voice for a given situation. I like the telephone effect on my voice that I have used many times. Other than that, I also use other effects to make my voice bassy and sound cooler.
The audio hardware controls are complicated. I had a hard time figuring out the line-in and setting up my microphone. There should be some automatic way to connect external devices to Adobe Audition.

overall experience I would say that Adobe Audition is an outstanding software I recommend it for anyone beginner or professional
Adobe Audition is a perfect software for mastering and mixing audio, I've been using it for a very long time for editing and mastering voice-overs for my clients. it has many free useful plugins provided for it which is a good thing. The software interface looks easy to use. you can export the highest quality. I really like that you can mix many tracks at the same time.
to be honest, there is no disliked part, I see that the software is being updated and improved time by time, I really like it

I record the voice overs for my audio projects (audio books, narration, commercials etc) and easily mix them with music and sound effects. The plugins integration helps me finish all the editing work in one interface , rather than using multiple ones.
1. The punch in recording feature ( a huge time saver). 2. Seamless integration with Izotope RX plugins. 3. A very handy and huge time saving feature to clean/lower all breaths in one audio file with the push of a button. Careful not to overdo it, experiement and check your file, to make sure you do not lose audio data.
I am not fond of the monthly subscription. I prefer to have a lifetime license (like before). In terms of interface, in the beginning Audition looks quite intimidating; there are many little options and bits and pieces everywhere to discover and understand. But, with patience you can figure them out in a few projects. The more you practice, the better you get.

My experience has been really good -- I highly recommend this if you already have and use other programs in the Adobe Creative Sweet
I love the functionality of Audition -- it has all the bells and whistles you could want from editing podcast and content all the way up to mixing and mastering music.
It can be a little clunky at times -- the UX/UI of it could be improved a little bit to make it easier to learn.

Overwall I have LOVED Adobe Audition. I use it to sweeten/enhance my audio on nearly every project that I have. Perfect for removing annoying background noise and not to difficult for new users to understand.
Adobe Audition is a MUST have for anyone doing Audio Video editing. While you can use Adobe Audition with many various editing software, Audition works best when used with other Adobe programs. With Adobe Creative Cloud Audition easily transfers and connects with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro...etc to allow you to keep your work flow while also making changes to your audio. The straight forward set up is easy to learn and perfect for beginners and expierenced audio users.
The only downside that I have expierenced in my workflow is that sometimes in order to utilize other plugins or advance systems, you may have to do extra steps to keep in line with te Adobe workflow.

Adobe Audition is the strongest in terms of de-duplication, noise-canceling, and background blurring. Adobe Audition has a clip spotting feature that makes it easy to display the correct frame for the user in order to make accurate audio edits. The program contains a Tracks panel that displays every detail of your project, making you precisely familiar with each addition or effect to make the work more professional. Combine multiple audio files into one file, and support advanced options for this process. Record the sound through a microphone or record the sounds produced by the computer internally while ensuring high quality improvement.
The interface and all the features may be difficult for beginners to get used to, as the program is more intended for professionals

This software makes it easier for me when finishing my videos, by tidying up the music and sound that is easier because it is integrated with my main software, namely Adobe Premiere Pro for video production on my YouTube channel.
Adobe audition helps me to make music from scratch, or to edit and tidy up music or sound with my youtube videos. in terms of quality adobe audition satisfies me in both the mixing and mastering process.
This software is expensive compared to other similar software, but if you use other Adobe CC software, there is a full membership and I can use access to other software that is incorporated into CC.

Its been a great tool for our weekly podcasts. It delivers professional-quality podcasts. I highly recommend it.
It is a pretty stable software, good at eliminating distortions, adding sound effects, and producing high-quality podcasts with studio sound quality. It is easy to integrate with other tools and allows for fast export. It is rich in features and once you've mastered it, there's so much value that one can derive from it.
For new users, it may be difficult to navigate at the beginning due to its advanced functionality. The price is steep but the quality of the work is worth it.

Adobe Audition is an easy and professional audio production application that I will continue to use for my student podcast assignments.
As someone who teaches writing and communication at the college-level, I use Adobe Audition as the my main software for student podcast assignments. My university provides students access to Adobe software, and it works well on both Mac and PC platforms. Students have been using Audition each semester to produce their own podcast episodes about their research topics, and many have praised the ease of the software even though they may have had no experience with audio recording or production before.
The input and output selections for separate tracks is not as intuitive as they could be. Each audio track has to be assigned a specific input and output when it could easily be defaulted to main input/output on the device running the software. Finally, the application saves metadata files separate from the actual media included in the project, which can make exporting or sharing a project before final mixdown slightly difficult.

The lower the value the faster the recording playback. accordingly, the higher the cursor on the slider, the slower the sound you will get the same effect as slowing down your voice or recording in general. In fact, all you have to do is select the desired value on the slider click apply to accept all changes and then export your file to the desired folder on your computer.
high-quality set of filters flexible and accurate editing and preview tools debugging allows you to correct and edit the audio for videos and podcasts allows you to create new sound effects there are all the necessary tools for professional processing of tracks Ability to edit audio in a separate window
very expensive high system requirements Some formats are not supported by standard, such as Apple QuickTime.

We run an online radio channel and this software is an indispensable member of ours.
This software includes the most attractive voice effects. Also designed to be easy for anyone to use and easy to install. Files are very easy to import. The most important thing is to be able to export your project to the highest quality.
There is no MIDI implementation in Adobe Audition.

Adobe Audition is being used in our in-house media production. On several jobs we've created a video using interviews and other corporate footage. We make sure that our audio quality is just as good, then the video itself. Video without proper audio is not a proper job.
With Audition mastering tracks for our clients to integrate in their videos is very easy. Multitrack is a huge feature for producing content for radio or TV commercials and productions. Integration with Adobe Premiere makes it the perfect tool for an editor to complete the job.
Audio Hardware Mapping can be difficult at times. It is a heavy user of computer resources. This has become less over the years, but it still takes a powerful computer to get the best from it.

Overall its great, even if you are a beginer or proseffional you can get amazing results. I think its the best of its kind for the price you pay and what you get for it. Perfect for audio editing.
One of the things I like the most about audition is that is very friendly for the user, everything is very intuituve in comparisson to similar programs. The pluggins included are great, the automatizations and audio editing are very easy to use. Amazing features to EQ, noise reduction, etc.
I would like more extensive content in the area of recording and audio editing, its sometimes dificult to get a professional result with the options you have there. Could add music creation tools.

Adobe Audition has been a great addition to my software suite to enhance the creative projects for our church.
Adobe Audition is a great addition to the Adobe Creative Suite. It integrates well with the other software and is very powerful and yet easy to use. Third party plug-ins work fantastically.
There are two main sections to the software. The track editor and the multitrack session. It would be nice to be able to do the editing right within the multitrack session.

The noise reduction tool is simply the best on the market. Multitrack mixing is also all at your fingertips is simple to do once you have learned the program. Finally, I love the waveform editing function in Audition. It's perfect for removing unwanted noises in a recording.
Although Audition is the best audio editor on the market in my opinion, the learning curve for the software is a bit steep. It takes some time to learn all of the features of the software. Mostly because it's so vast and customizable. However, Adobe has so many different ways to learn how to master it's programs.

I always say that a film or video maker can’t do a thing without the moving images’ Holy Trinity, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and of course Audition. Jumping from one software to another makes your content professional and beautiful.
What I like most about this product is its ability to work simultaneously on single and multiple tracks; this adds more to its genuine flexibility. I tried once five-channel audio and the results were amazing. Even mixing down the result on a stereo output from it felt deeply atmospheric.
I didn't find a thing to improve. The software is good as it is.

This software has made it possible for my media team in church to make ready all sound recordings Immediately after church meetings, three days in a week. We are able to generate different audio formats for all kind of devices especially for Radio programme and podcast.
Awesome! l kind of like the fact that I am able to capture, record, mix and master audio sounds excellently. At the same time I have access to over 10,000 sound effects and lots of plugins, this is fabulous.
I think the fact that it has lots of tools it can be difficult for a new user to easily grasp, but with patience and consistent use that can be overcome.

In my experience adobe audition is useless and should only be used if you don't have access to another audio daw. All the other adobe products are amazing and this is my least favorite software from adobe. If Audition had midi tracks, I would reconsider this whole review.
If you're an Adobe suite user, audition is the easiest way for working with audio. It's userfriendly and looks really familiar; if you're used to the adobe look, you'll feel right at home and navigate through the software in no time.
I hate the fact that you can't use midi with adobe audition. If you're an adobe premier video editor that also creates sound designs, the best way do it is through audition, however, the monent you decide to add midi, you will go mad looking for forums that will only tell you the same thing. Audition does not support midi tracks.
