BigCommerce vs Marketing 360 Comparison

I love that I can set up my shopping cart & merchant account, shipping & marketing programs through BigCommerce. They are constantly offering webinars, tips and social marketing strategies, such as a shop tab on my store's facebook page.

There are a few issues, such as having the ability to upload your own gift certificate background, changing your initial order number (so it doesn't start at 1), etc., but BigCommerce has told me that they are already working on these issues.

It has huge built-in functionalities than any other site development in market. Large support for Amazon, Facebook and Instagram to sell and market your product.

UI is not so easy and its hard to edit your website sometimes due to its complicated interface. A big let down is that there is no mobile app available.

The marketing of our products online through different applications like Instagram helps in a major Part. The user interface and Mobile user friendly is very helpful. The detailed marketing helps in developing the business overall the globe.

The themes while building the platform is quite expensive and editing feature can be added which helps in major role. The interface can be improved.

At the current time, the app marketplace is rather lacking when it comes to adding additional functionality or integrations to your store, majority of the apps are marketing and inventory based and come with additional monthly fees. Definitely use the trial period to make sure it will suit all your needs before committing.

I like its variety of spaces to manage a business and that it has the intention that everything can be done from the same app because it seems to be focused on companies that want to create a site to grow. Shipments are customized and its tax system offers great flexibility. It has interesting marketing tools and offers good search engine optimization. I also like that the payment type is customizable and has an interface that can be easily used

Their prices are increasing significantly compared to the competition. Do not listen to recommendations to add new and improved features. Is focused primarily on the U.S. market, leaving aside the rest of the world that is interested in its services.

We had used Bigcommerce for about 6-8 months. It had a lot of good features that I would love to have with my current setup. - Good 24/7 customer support. - No transaction fees, 0%, which is extremely important to a small business like us with low margins. - Strong feature set which is refined. - Integration with multiple software, extremely versatile. - Great theme editor, which I miss a lot. - Mobile ecommerce is better than the competition. - Its a hosted solution, no worry about coding or server management. - Unlimited digital products, also physical, but we don't sell those. - Great marketing features. - Even after being hosted, CSS or HTML can be edited.

- As you know, its a hosted platform, so the transaction fees are a recurring cost. Its a huge downside for us as the cost of the platform doesn't suit a small business like us. - Free theme options are less, very much limited. - With multiple options, comes the complexity to set it up. - Interface is a bit convoluted. - Less apps I think that pretty much sums it up.

Big Commerce have done an excellent job of identifying and integrating the components necessary for a very robust large scale online store. It is wrapped in a very inflexible templated front end that requires programming to break out of. They clearly recognized this shortcoming and have deftly pivoted to a headless model that tosses the client-side rendering to... WordPress.

The theming/template/programming model of native BigCommerce is an investment. It is a specialty that does not feel like a career investment, rather it is a commitment to be a Big Commerce partner/developer. Their plans has Sale Limits. Also, the ability to recover abounded carts is available only in Higher-Tier Plans. Other than that, there is nothing to complain.

Easy to get up and running. Features are some of the best offered in this class. Pricing doesn't take a cut off of sales.

Many advanced features lacking or cost extra, like filtered search and navigation. Bugs are fixed and new features are added based on number of requests as opposed to the severity or need of the fix or feature. As a result, some bugs can persist for years if only a few people have reported them. No release notes or detailed info on updates. Overall it seems the company is still run more like a startup...
