I will keep using Joomla and can't recommend enough

2019-04-14

I was able to collaborate on design changes to our corporate website with my fellow designers and developers, and overall the experience of editing, designing, previewing, and publishing content was at first a little time consuming to follow all the steps, but eventually was so easy to follow time and time again.

Pros

As someone with some technical skills, I was able to learn how to use the editing tools pretty quickly, I learned how to be a user administrator and set up permissions for our customer portal to allow ease of access for customer materials - the overall set up of these features was a very stress free process.

Cons

Depending on how you've decided to use this content management tool, the process of upgrading certain features and customizing the back end user interface can be challenging when the needs arise.

Joomla for Perfect web site devolpment tool

2020-08-10

Best way to expressing and perform search engine optimization, mostly used for social media marketing, Classic UI and more configurable items make it useful, much secured and convenient working with server side, Lesser extensions are available to add more feature, integrated perfectly with social media like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube perfectl.

Pros

Much secured and comprehensive content management system that supports wide range of websites, discussion, introduction, with personal messaging service, user management, role defining is fully covered including access to pages, detailed pages and customization can be done accordingly to enhanced added feature, direct access and working with server through its configuration.

Cons

Much complicated and hidden type setting, hard to customize it, due to complexity and difficult customization comparatively lesser plugins, extensions are available, so it needs more and more customization and work if you did not found your required features in prebuilt in extension.

SuperB CMS for Web Development

2018-02-08

Great tool for web design.

Pros

Compared to other Content Management Systems out there, Joomla is one of the easier to learn ones, and also highly customizable. It provides a great interface for website owners/administrators to manage their website and do content updating.

Cons

Joomla is great, not much negatives to mention, but one of the cons against Joomla is that it exists in a very competitive space where a number of web content management systems exist.

Decent software for content management

2018-04-10

Very powerful content management system

Pros

It's can be intimidating at first, but once you "get it", it becomes second nature to you- especially if you have to use it daily, as I was in my previous job. Quite straightforward and very powerful - and a lot of features a company can use when it grows. I doubt we used 10% of it.

Cons

Some features are added by third party plugins (K2), which can add to confusion.

content management system program

2020-01-07

the system I use for a blog, a tiny office web page. has a useful interface, the page unnecessary, you do not leave a code to the company that writes code.

Pros

By creating a website template, it provides file management on single or multiuser computers. is a content management system that will create wonders by the person who knows how to use it correctly. comparison with other content systems is wrong.

Cons

This may seem like a nice feature, but converting the database invites problems.

Inherited a Joomla site...

2019-12-03

I would NOT recommend Joomla as a CMS, save time and headaches and go with something more stable.

Pros

The CMS does allow for easy content creation and management, but plugin management leaves a LOT to be desired

Cons

It's confusing, its hard to use, permissions are complicated, paid plugins stop working when subscriptions aren't renewed (not really a con, just annoying), file hierarchy is confusing

Joomla : Must have CMS for creating awesome web content

2019-07-31

Pros

. * Supports best practices with respect to SEO out of the box . * Regular security patches to keep the site secure. * Open source free software to tinker around the code base. * ACL(Access Control Lists) allows management of users and makes sure that only certain authorized users modify the content.

Cons

. * Other feature rich alternatives like wordpress is posing serious competition to joomla.

Joomla, a sunsetting open source has-been

2021-08-04

Joomla was OK when we entered the CMS space 12 years ago. Now it is just horrid, overall experience is dated and pathetic. A massively frustrating and mostly dissapointing experience with the community support pages. As of May of 2021, we've abandoned the platform, as it appears to be dying a slow and painful death.

Pros

Powerful backend tools and MySQL management, solid from the admin of the CMS itself.

Cons

Wooly and unpredictable stable of 3rd party extension/components.

We use Joomla more than 4 years.

2018-03-30

Free software, excellent content management system.

Pros

Joomla is ideal for complex websites that require 3+ people to work on them. It's bit sophisticated out of the box (at least out of the box) but as soon as you get used to it (or get some training, e.g. on LinkedIn Lynda.com) - you start to like it.

Cons

but have to work with Wordpress, as it is often more easy, due to its ambiguity.

Joomla Is Flexible With Many Features - Good For People With Some Technical Experience

2019-04-20

Some of the Joomla template designers do a great job in making creative eye-catching layouts for business owners and web developers to use quickly right from the start.

Pros

Third-party template providers offer thousands of possible templates which are already designed, making a fast setup and install for a business owner who might not have very much time.

Cons

You have to study and learn the system just to add the most common types of content that a website usually has.

Joomla Is Robust and Extensible

2016-11-29

It's come a long, long way since then, and it remains one of the most flexible and feature-rich CMSes out there.

Pros

Joomla beats WordPress in user management, menu management, and template management out of the box.

Cons

It's not any more or less than other open source software, but it HAS to be kept up-to-date, and with all open source CMSes security software is a must. SEO isn't quite as easy in Joomla but I hear that's changing with upcoming releases.

Recommendations to others considering Joomla

I highly recommend Joomla for associations and small-to-midsize businesses, who can afford to pay a Joomla expert to keep the software updated and assist with the initial set-up and design. It's not for the beginner DIYer, however, and it's overkill for small businesses who just want a brochure website without a ton of features.

2020-06-14

The Joomla is search engine friendly and mobile friendly.

Pros

Cons
