Kajabi is a good all-in-one system

Reviewed a year ago

My overall experience was good. Customer support was very responsive. I liked the system but I had to hire a virtual assistant team to help me. Ultimately, I decided to move to another product that was less expensive, offered HIPAA compliance, and offered more features. Kajabi claims to be an all-in-one system but it doesn't allow online scheduling, doesn't create a marketing calendar where I can write...

Pros

Completely customizable; easy contact management system for collecting leads and editing their information; user-friendly with DIY email broadcasts and blogging; great CRM; good for coaching memberships too

Cons

The base product was a bit pricey compared to other systems. There was no online scheduling system when I was using it so I had to have another product for scheduling. Although I could create my own email broadcasts and blogs, I needed a virtual assistant team to create my website and management it. I thought Kajabi was supposed to be easy to set up its website but I found it confusing.

The absolute best platform for streamlining your online business

Reviewed a year ago

Overall it's been amazing. They're constantly making the platform better, they really take user feedback into consideration and even let you try out new features with their "labs" options. They make me feel like they care about me as a user 100x more than any other platform I've ever used.

Pros

I love how Kajabi is all-in-one!!! I can run my website, my funnels, my checkout pages, my lead magnets, my membership, my courses, my affiliates, my email marketing, and so much more all from one platform. I no longer have to juggle 12 different platforms and deal with integrations and things breaking like I did before. Even though it's expensive, it's actually saved me money and it's saved me SO MUCH time because of all the headaches I no longer have to deal with.

Cons

The affiliate system is clunky and not very user friendly for the admin or the affiliates. Also their customer services has gotten noticeably worse over the last six months. You used to be able to talk to someone extremely knowledgeable on the live chat service and now you talk to people who clearly don't know the platform very well and just send you help articles.

Use only if you have to

Reviewed 2 years ago

Over it!!! When you are a jack of all trades you master none. They try to do too much making their software slow and clunky.

Pros

I really wish I cut loose sooner. I kept hanging on because I thought it would show my clients I was high quality. But that’s not the case. I’m just a little guy who loves creating content. Kajabi is for the big dogs! It is definitely not worth the money.

Cons

It’s got too many bells and whistles and too many pots in the fire. Because of this it runs slow and clunky. For example I had an email segment set up for 10 people. Instead it went to my entire list. This happened because of that slow spin. That was the final straw for me. Definitely not worth $2000+ a year!!

Not good for large volume courses

Reviewed 3 months ago

Fine except for this critical feature. We had to hire someone for more $ than the software cost us, to input the resutls.

Pros

Great software if you are running classes for small groups

Cons

VERY time consuming if you run a class for a large group as you have to spend a significant amount of time inputting assessment/quiz data into your own spreadsheet as there is no current way to pull a file of all responses (e.g. surveys)

I love Kajabi overall . On the expensive side but it’s literally an all in one platform.

Pros

I love the ease of use! I love how members can access all content on an app. No transaction fees

Cons

This software is very expensive. They don’t allow you to extend trials to learn the product before selling.

All-in-one Platform for Managing an Online Business

Reviewed 2 years ago

Currently I am helping my client manage her Kajabi account. But I first experienced Kajabi a few years back when an online course I bought was hosted on Kajabi. I really enjoyed the experience. The interface was very appealing and easy to use. So, I was glad when my client informed me earlier this year that she was switching from another course platform to Kajabi. Overall my experience on the administrative side has been quite satisfactory.

Pros

As an all-in-one platform, Kajabi is pretty cool. At the moment, we are using it for a few courses; a podcast; lead magnet landing pages and the automatic emails that go out when people sign up for the lead magnets. (We use a separate platform for our weekly newsletter.) For our purposes so far Kajabi has been working out well. And the Kajabi team is continually building out new features. For instance,...

Cons

I came across multiple challenges using Kajabi's new Podcast feature. Since Kajabi's podcast feature is relatively new, my client felt more comfortable uploading her episodes to another more established platform. The initial RSS import of existing episodes from the other platform to Kajabi was easy enough, but new episodes are not automatically added Kajabi. Each week I have to manually upload the...

Total Package for Content Marketing

Reviewed 2 years ago

I really love Kajabi because it allows the courses to be gamified with customizable marketing campaigns for each course.

Pros

Kajabi offers many course creation tools to design online classes or trainings from scratch. For example, there's a course creation tool that allows you to create classes, videos, and other digital tools for content. Here's the best part - once your class or training is created, there's lead generation, product launch tools, and webinar funnels to use for marketing it. What is great about Kajabi is the seamless automation to build your product, sell, and manage purchases. It is truly an all in one tool!

Cons

Unfortunately, there is no free subscription plan. So, you may not benefit from purchasing a plan if you will not use Kajabi on a regular basis. Although, there's a 14-day free trial available to test drive the product to see if it's a good fit for you.

Too many limitations and very difficult to get support

Reviewed a year ago

See above

Pros

At this point the problems overshadow the benefits

Cons

The cost for this learning management system is higher than its competitors but given the limitations we’ve experienced, with no support, I wish that we had chosen a different LMS option. For example, our students need to write a quiz and achieve a minimum of 80% before the next lesson is unlocked. If a student achieves under 80% there is no way to indicate what questions they got wrong so they are...

More disappointing every year

Reviewed 3 years ago

Great vision and cool approach a few years ago. Seem to have fallen in love with themselves and begin to show signs of detoriation.

Pros

Kajabi's intent is to offer "everything in one place" for experts (like [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]) to create and operate website, content like trainings, email marketing all inside one platform. Great idea that works somewhat well.

Cons

More and more modules of the whole platform fall behind or even way behind competition. Add to that, that some building blocks become completely unusable, when you reside in Europe. Just one example with a huge business impact: E-Mail deliverability for instance is roughly 50% lower than twilio/sendgrid. That kills most funnels, if you want to be GDPDR compliant. We are not spamming our customers. Kajabi itself is pretty ill prepared for international business. You can help yourself with integrations and zapier. Even more frustrating is the experience with the partner business team. Response time and resolution capability for everyday business inquiries are unprofessional to a degree that the whole partner story is unsustainable for some businesses. At least mine.

Fantastic product - LMS, website builder, and marketing machine in one!

Reviewed 2 years ago

Super great. Really love the product and I'm looking forward to using it even more in 2022. I think if you max out the usage of its features you can run almost all your entire business from one place. While this does increase risk (due to the outages that sometimes occur) it is something that a newer entrepreneur can use to get up and running quickly and easily.

Pros

I really love Kajabi and endorse the product. But, since the price tag is on the high side, I recommend you use it if you are going to make the most of all the features. This includes using it as an LMS, a website and/or funnel builder, and a marketing management system. The email and CMS features are great and they have recently introduced a coaching and podcast platform as well. Super excited to use these features!

Cons

It is pricey if you are not going to use all the features. It also is software that takes a little while to learn if you are a newbie.

Overpromises and underdelivers

Reviewed 3 years ago

Based on my previous comments -- and to be fair to Kajabi -- I think it is a great platform if you don't care much about contact management (beyond the very basic) and your audience is English-speaking ONLY. It is more robust than other alternatives such as Podia; it doesn't require add-on software like Thinkific. Just know that you will pay a premium.

Pros

I liked that it is an all-in-one solution. Once you figure out how to navigate around the platform, you begin to see that you really don't need other software solutions in order to offer basic, elegant, online courses.

Cons

For the cost (which is nothing t sneeze at), I was left expecting more. When you buy a Lexus you expect higher quality components than when you buy a Toyota...and there's nothing wrong with a Toyota; I had one for close to 20 years! Specifically to Kajabi, I felt that the contact management module (called "People" in Kajabi) was weak. Most all free versions of marketing software (think MailChimp)...

Uncaring and Bad Customer Support

Reviewed 3 years ago

The worst thing with this experience was I found the customer support extremely bad. Awful customer support from one person I chatted with and the customer support manager that I was emailing with him. If I had one word to describe, it would be very uncaring.

Pros

Sorry, I'm not sure what I liked about it.

Cons

I worked with Kajabi and was about to launch my product and found out that the customer had to put in a password at the checkout opt-in box or after they had opt-in to get the product. This would have drastically reduced people buying my product, or after they bought the product, it would have been very confusing. I was told by management it would take months to fix, and they weren't even sure their solution would fix it. Blessed that I switched to ClickFunnels, a much better product.

Powerful, Complete, and only slightly Aggrevating

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall positive. It just works. It's a robust setup process, but once you have things established, the process just works really smoothly.

Pros

I love that Kajabi has the 3 most important features all under one roof: (1) MailChimp-like marketing; (2) Payments and Membership management; and (3) Courseware All 3 are highly usable, feature rich, and have an overall consistent UI / UX.

Cons

Well, like any broad-based platform, its not as "deep" as you might want in any given area. During startup we'd say "oh, just do X like we did in Mailchimp" only to find that "X" was not an option in Kajabi. I recall trying to move from MailChimp. We had a large list. Kajabi only allowed us to import 500 names at a time. Also, "PIPELINES" is a very un-intuitive concept. Super powerful, but also darn confusing.

Tool with a ton of features but extremely EXPENSIVE!!!

Reviewed a year ago

Overall, other than the pricing and a few lags here and there, Kajabi is a good platform overall.

Pros

Honestly, Kajabi is a powerful tool for courses, emails, website management, memberships, and just anything and everything along these lines. I started using Kajabi as a course platform for offering education to my audience and nurturing them...and later, we started using it as a company. Customer support is great as well and we didn't have any issues performance-wise.

Cons

The differentiator was pricing. When there are other tools (say Systeme or Landingi) offering similar (and more) solutions for a very low and affordable price, Kajabi needs to rethink its pricing model. I'd not recommend Kajabi to people who are just starting out with an online business plan.

The Rolls Royce of Online Course Delivery

Reviewed 2 months ago

While Kajabi will position and advertise itself as the "one and only platform you need" its expertise is what it started out with, which is online course delivery. Since it has introduced email marketing, checkouts, landing pages, website builder, membership programs and I believe in podcast hosting, but all of that is pretty basic and while it does the job, you are better served using other options....

Pros

Kajabi hands down is the best of the best. The different templates, organization and layout of content makes for easy user consumption.

Cons

Could do better with landing pages, checkouts, and membership programs.

Kajabi is the ultimate marketing and client tool for my programs and services.

Reviewed a year ago

There are many sites like Kajabi out there that either try to offer many different benefits but do not truly excel at most of them and end up being bloated, confusing, and ultimately not as dependable. Kajabi truly nows how to create a seamless powerful process for coaches and content creators.

Pros

One of the main reasons why I love Kajabi is because it is very dependable and they have an amazing dedicated team always updating, and offering support. You can find many apps that try to do what Kajabi does but trust is very important to me... and Kajabi is not only trustworthy but has great style. Other popular apps within their class do not evoke that feeling of trust or warmth that it is essential for marketing across any service based industry. A subtle point but very important to me.

Cons

I would say that it was lacking a true community feeling for my clients but with their newest update... it is truly amazing. Just the new "community" portion is worth the prize within itself... so there is not much I don't like about Kajabi now.

All-in-One business solution for memberships and course creators

Reviewed 2 years ago

I love Kajabi. I was able to pick up on how Kajabi works pretty quickly and found it to be an intuitive product that is easy to use.

Pros

I love that with Kajabi, you have the ability to build all the basics in one location. You can create free content and publish via podcast, email marketing, blog, and website, and also have exclusive content, trainings, etc. behind the pay wall. It is all-in-one for basic use. A new online business owner can dive into Kajabi and have pretty much all the basic tools they need. I also love the automations built in to Kajabi.

Cons

The biggest con I have heard from others is pricing prior to a new business generating steady income. However, Kajabi occasionally offers longer than normal trials that can help business owners hit the ground running. In the big picture, it is more streamlined than and comparable to linking together other platform options to achieve all of the same services as Kajabi. Kajabi makes it simple, so the price seems well justified.

Better than most, but room for improvement

Reviewed 2 years ago

I switched to Kajabi from Teachable. I was very unhappy with Teachable and did not have the time to create content on my own business website. I have created more than 10 separate products with this platform and at times it has a steep learning curve. The UI looks fantastic and very professional. I love how easy it is to add basic content to a product, but wish many of the menus talked to each other much better. The workflow is often very disjointed when creating a new product. I wish they would fix this aspect. If the flow was better and there were more in app capabilities for basic data analysis (e.g., assessment results without needed a separate download), that would be amazing.

Pros

I enjoy how easy it is to create, upload and organize content for a given product. I also like the progress monitoring capabilities.

Cons

I am incredibly frustrated by the assessment aspect of this platform. It is extremely limited. It is hard to see results from assessments and difficult to set them up. You have to create your assessment before you can add it to a course instead of creating it while you are working on a course. It is a completely different menu. It is also incredibly hard to get assessment results.

It's fantastic until you need technical help

Reviewed a year ago

Kajabi is a good company that offers way more services than anyone else. The Customer Service database can usually answer my questions and their agents are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, they can't solve technical issues quickly. Overall, I'm willing to pay more to use Kajabi because they are professional, the site is easy to manage, and I have access to marketing strategies I would otherwise have to pay a lot of money for.

Pros

Kajabi looks professional, is easy to use, and has all the marketing and business tools you need in one place.

Cons

I don't need most of the marketing features right now, so I'm paying a lot more for my website than I would like. Since I can't sell physical products, I have to use Shopify - this is frustrating and time-consuming. I absolutely love the friendly customer service agents, but they can't solve technical issues quickly. It can take several days, which isn't acceptable when your customers expect your site to function seamlessly. I'm probably going to have to move to another company because I need to be able to solve problems immediately, but it looks like I won't be able to transfer my content since I built it on their site with their templates.

Everything in one place

Reviewed 2 years ago

Easy to set up. I used to create my own website using HTML. Kajabi makes it super easy with their templates to drag and drop things into position and all the pages connect - plus I can create pages that are not in the navigation so I love that too. Super easy to create courses too. Customer service is amazing, their Facebook group is filled with all kinds of entrepreneurs, questions asked and answered by experts and newbies.

Pros

I've used Kajabi for about 6 years for my website, course delivery, and membership. Everything I need is in one place with a seamless connection. It means I no longer need to pay for external things like landing pages and video hosting.

Cons

There are still improvements that could be made on the cart, email system, and flexibility of landing pages. Consequently, I use some other apps as add-ons. I'd also love more templates.

Easy to use and helpful customer service

Reviewed 2 years ago

Kajabi has a come a long way with everything integrated into one system. The mobile app and marketing pages make it well rounded solution to teach online. It is an impressive all-in-one platform.

Pros

We wanted to offer online classes. Kajabi has a lot of features that add to the online classes like marketing and payment. Our main concern was giving the students the content. We easily added audio and video to the course. Payments worked smoothly with Stripe and has many options to customize the price and discounts. It keeps track of the students in an easy way. The best part of Kajabi is the helpful and welcoming support. They really go the extra mile and are patient. Their caring attitude helped me setup the custom domain. Customer support makes Kajabi one of the best choices.

Cons

It does not have an attendance system. Even though it does have quizzes/surveys, tracking attendance will require extra manual work. The price is high (about $120/month) but if you have a hundred students every month, then price is not an issue. You can customize the look and use the templates.

A lot to be improved upon.

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Kajabi is a platform that has the ability to do it all. I like that I can integrate email and online courses as well as the 24 hour chat customer service.

Cons

There is a lot that can be improved. The rules for dripping courses, the email setting and the ability to suspend email sequences, the ability to get better analytics on emails, track users, and the interface of the courses themselves can all be improved. I find that they are slow to implement change but do listen to user feedback. I found that even though the customer service is great, I needed a back end programmer to make the design do exactly what I wanted.
